A lot of readers are emailing me angry about my views on the Raz B/ Chris Stokes controversy. Let me remind you that I am free to have an opinion on my own blog. In my opinion, Raz B is a major manipulator who has made other strange accusations in the past.

In this video, Raz B has a heated verbal exchange with his former manager Chris Stokes – the man who he is accusing of molesting him. Yet in the video all you hear is Raz B screaming on Chris for escorting his mother out of his apartment. In the same breath he invites Chris to have lunch with him. Does a victim of molestation normally ask his molester out to lunch?

Unless I missed something, I did not hear Raz B accuse Chris of molesting him or anyone else in this video. Also in the video you hear Chris saying “I do not do that anymore.” That statement is too vague. Chris could be talking about anything. When I hear this from Omarion‘s mouth I will believe it. Raz B is just too shaky to believe.

I guess you can’t always believe what you read or see. I didn’t even know anything about this issue until I read this so I decided to search the internet. I read wikipedia and found out that Omarion and Marcus aren’t even related. Isn’t that what the public was led to believe? Am I the only person that did not know this? Not only that, both on Omarion and on Marcus’ wikipedia information, it states that Marcus molested Omarion??? WTF is that? I hope it is not true.

I don’t know if I agree with you on this one Sandra. Why would a man in his 20s put something out there like this that could very well ruin any little career he had left if it wasn’t true. It is kind of weird that all of this is getting out while Bow Wow and Omarion’s album just dropped. This is some shit and I can’t wait to hear from the other side. This is what the blogging community has been missing. A lot of people bring up R. Kelly when going against your views but that nigga is on tape! That is the best type of proof in any case.

That is not Raz B in the part 2 of this video it is “Ricky Romance” who is Raz’s older brother. Raz is only in a very small part of this second video unlike the first (part 1) where he is ALL up in it. It sounds like no one believes him and everyone is mad. On the phone it sound like Chris Stokes is actually admitting to him molesting the children. Yes Ricky is upset about the incident with his mother as well…who knows what went on with that but whatever. It also links Raz B, Ricky Romance and Chris Stokes as cousins. Huh? what the hell???!! So let me get this straight are the accusations against Chris Stokes AND Marcus Houston?? And what is Omarion saying about all of this? Interesting…but i don’t think these boys are lying. Yes publicity may be wanted but this a too much of an attempt to get it…he is putting not only the “molestors” on blast but also himself which could bring bad for him. He may be telling the real. Why publically…who knows. Different people do thangs different ways.

I am unaware of Raz B being unstable. I don’t know him and have never read anything to make me think something was wrong with him mentally.

None of the people he talks to on this video are treating him like a crazy person on a rant. Is his brother crazy too? What do they have to gain from this? What pisses me off the most about this, is that I have only seen it on black blogs. This is huge news that I would expect to see on CNN let alone the “mainstream” blogs.

Sandra, of course you are entitled to your opinion as much as it may drive us crazy. I don’t know why people are emailing you. Let them express their disgust on the blog so that their words may serve as encouragment for this young man. They ought to know they can’t change your mind and that your views are often differant than the norm.

Many victims identify with their abusers.
It is very common.

It happened in the Catholic church and it happens every day. The younger the victims are, the easier it is for them to identify with their molesters. THATS WHY PEDOPHILES PREY ON KIDS. Besides the fact that they are physically weaker and smaller, children are targeted because they are gullible by nature and more likely to believe something an adult tells them. They are easier to intimidate. They are also more likely to keep the secrets of the adults who molest them.

Thats exactly why cowards prey on kids.

Raz should be commended for having the courage to speak out against his manager.

You owe Raz B an apology because you were not there when the alleged abuse took place.

Of course you can have your own opinion, but does that make you less stupid? Well, no.

You can’t even get your people right. That’s Raz B’s brother in the video, and obviously he’s a little unstable. Many people that are the products of molestation are UNSTABLE if they don’t deal with it.

And, since most molesters tend to be people that you know, then it’s quite common for this seesaw of emotion. Ricky Romance and Raz B are the cousins of Chris Stokes. So in addition to molestation, throw a little incest into the equation and you have screwed up people.

People are molested by their dads, uncles, and cousins. Guess what? They don’t get removed from the family tree. They don’t know how to separate the family and the pedophilia.

Like I stated on another board, did you ever see Chris Rock’s standup routine? He addresses everyone had a family member that is a molestor, and how the kids are supposed to know to not be alone with this uncle. Otherwise, they have to “shake it off”. This was funny to millions because there was truth to it. We all know, and that’s you too, people that have been molested and/or someone that “use to molest”. We just choose to not talk about it.

The reason why being people like you. And, I don’t support muzzling the truth in order for people like you to talk about trivial BS like standing up for T.I. Just ridiculous. Sandra reading is not only fun, it’s fundamental. This is not RazB, it clearly said Ricky Romance on the screen. I’m not aware of the strange accusations RazB has made in the past, please enlighten the rest of us.

As far as normal behavior from a victim of sexual molestation, I’m not sure that there is a textbook profile on how sexually molested/assaulted people act, nor is there a rule book on the do’s and do nots for these victims (after all some of James Cleveland’s alleged victims/proteges sing his praises until today); as far as the lunch, it sounds as if Chris is related to this Ricky Romance/RazB family as well.

I’m inclined to believe RazB, only because this is not the first time that rumors of child sexual assault has filtered out of the TUG/Chris Stokes camp, usually smoke indicates fire.

Not only will some offer to take the perpetrator(s) to lunch, some will accept money to disappear to avoid testifying in court. It’s like a form of Stokholm syndrome where they form a weird bond to their molestor(s) to numb or block out the gravity of what they’ve experienced.

The harmful thing about child molestation is NOT just about the sexual innocence lost of its victims, but about how off it can throw your mental compass.

Not all victims react the same way. Some become sesually promiscuous, others totally close themselves off from sex and some lead a normal sexual life.

hmm as a family member and being young you could very well be torn between diassociation and continuing to be involved with the accused. In this case Chris had alot of power, he may have been the only one “doing something” within the family, so those in the family probably turned a blind eye to what was really going on in front of them. I think unless you’ve been there it is hard to understand the mind of someone who has been molested. Most pedophiles know their victims and are master manipulators.

Especially when it comes to male-male molestation there are few men who would make it up because their own manhood is often attacked.

I believe it happened but one must consider the motives behind this sudden admission. Raz B has been asked repeatedly about Chris Stokes inappropriate conduct and defended him every time.

A few things that seem creepy about the video:

1. Raz B looks high and has bags under his eyes.
2. In the second video his brother looks to be drinking or rolling up some weed.
3. The phone conversations seem carefully plotted out. Everything from the captions,(Marques Houston’s Dad, etc) to the dramatic responses. Did anyone know their conversation was going to be broadcasted on youtube?

4. Mom seems to be the head coach. She slipped up when she mentioned the older brother should focus on his reality show. (wink).

With all those suspect observations I still believe Chris Stokes is guilty. However, Raz B should take this to the authorities and seek legal counsel. I’m not sure about the statue of limitations but if anything he can seek retribution.

I always believe something wasn’t right about Chris Stokes.

I can kind of believe everything in the first video but this one a bit suspect. There is a long portion of the video that I can see where the screen seems to stand still and it’s during that part that it sounds like a tape player is being turned on. (at 3:26 and again at 3:48). Just seems a bit suspect to me in this video. the other one seems more realistic but this Ricky Romance character (looking like he stays in the projects and needs a big break by any means necessary) needs to get his set-up game right. too many inconsistencies int eh way the convo goes down in the video. it’s too broken up

I have to say with all the black entertainment underworld drama/situations I hear about I would not put it past Chris Stokes to be a complete child molester, hell he looks like a flaming firecracker on the prey for younf boys. I do believe that the B2K members are brainwashed and have been for a long time. The omarion and marques that have gone along with everything and appear to be fine careerwise and monetary while others are broke and can’t get a hand up if they asked. Clearly this is not RAZ B (as stated in YOUR post on YOUR BLOG) I think there are certain degrees of stupidity and you have exceeded just that. Molestation whether it happened 20 years ago or 5 minutes ago is VERY WRONG and detrimental to ones psyche. I just got a chance to really listen to the second video. I had to turn it of at work as soon as the brother said nigga the first time. I think that video is inconsequential and we don’t know what Chris is referring to when he says he has changed. There is no certain for someone who has been molested to act. Many molesters are family members. They will sit at the table and break bread with you as if nothing is going on. Most people are molested by family members.

And you don’t have to believe it, and thats your right of course. However, your reasoning is exactly why most children stay quiet. A few months ago, there was a girl in NY who killed her step father-cutting off his….well, u know what. Even when it happened, lots of family members didn’t believe it. Days later, the girls sister told papers that he did it to her too. She did that after years and years of pain, and not dealing with it.

I understand you not believing the story, i didn’t at first too, but i watched the video, and thought about it. Why would any man put something like that out like that if it wasn’t true. He has NOTHING to gain from it. NOTHING! This can only hurt him. It just doesn’t make sense to make this up.

and oh, i’ve heard about real early this morning, and there’s no statement from chris stokes. i don’t know much about how the industry works, but if this was me, there would be a statement out denying this as soon as possible,…if it wasn’t true. I think the issue is real. I have seen things on the net about said rumor and I have always believed them. Now, it is coming full circle. This story doesn’t surprise me the least bit.

There is a lot of gay and lesbian people in the industry, just like there is a lot of industry people on drugs (Coke, Weed, Speed, Pills, etc.).

One thing is for sure a lot of these young men in the music industry are being exploited in some form or fashion, just like the young women in the music industry are being exploited in some form or fashion. To bad it is all part of the Industry Game, they are all using what they have to get where they are. If it means that they have to use their bodies to make it in the industry then I guess that is what they figure have to do whether they are munipulated or not.

In the music and acting game you have got to come off of something if you want to make it, we see countless of stories, movies, (Dorthy Dandrige story), Micheal Jackson story…I could go on and on.

I think the parents, if anything, at the end of the day need to be real and not allow their children to be exploited for a buck because that is what it’s all about anyway the almight dollar.

Secondly, I feel if they’re going to release a video like this then it shouldn’t be open doors on what is exactly being talked about here. People are talking in circles, there is no introduction to who, what, when, and where we’re about to listen too. The recording kicks in during the middle of conversations. At the point of recording, he should’ve said “you molested my brother ‘n****'” those accusations were only stated while recording alone. It’s like they wanted to come out with it, but at the same time they didn’t or didn’t know how.

I believe Raz-B, this isnt the first time Chris Stokes has been accused of molesting his artists. The first time this was brought up was with his former artist by the name of Quindon. Quindon recently came out about it a couple years ago to his church and his story was almost identical to Raz- B’s.

It is believable they are coming out with the story because they were cut off financially, but I still believe the allegations. Still it is very confusing. 3/4 of B2K left Chris Stokes because he was robbing them, INCLUDING Raz B so I am having a tough time believing he was supporting him financially after robbing him blind. With all the albums the group sold, they should have plenty of money.

have you ever thought about this?

maybe Raz and his brother are ready to talk about it now because they are no longer blinded by the fame and the fast pace of the industry.

just because they broke, doesnt mean that the abuse didnt hurt them psychologically and spiritually

and just because Marquise and Omarion are still in the game and got money, doesnt mean that they dont secretly suffer from the affects of the abuse

its easier to put it out of your mind when you’re in that life

but when you’re by yourself and alone and have time to think about it that’s when the real issues come out

sexual abuse has very ugly side affects

healing is a process that is different for each individual

i do believe that all healing whether from sexual abuse or anything, starts with honesty and telling the truth about being victimized and or being a victimizer

telling the truth is necessary to get the ball rolling in the right direction

revenge is to hurt the other person who wronged you

Raz brother is a grown ass man with a son telling the world that he was sexually molested at 10 by an older cousin.

i grew up on immature, loved b2k, didnt understand the decisions chris stokes made because he had talented female artists on his label but wouldnt push none of them, as soon as b2k broke up this came out but no one would listen to the ex b2k members because they liked omarion and didnt want to believe it. i believe it, what’s done in the dark will come to light. chris is very suspect.

It shocks me that no one else noticed these inconsistencies. Whether that was Raz B on the phone or his brother – they BOTH accused Chris of molesting them. I think that Sandra Rose continues to show her ignorance or who ever you have doing your blogs. 1st it is because of statements like yours that so many young black boys and girls are afraid to come forward, for fear that someone is going to think they are lying. Also if you look at the video, Raz B is not the one asking him to meet up with him, it’s Raz B’s older brother! Are you blind, deaf, or dumb. You set yourself up for legal trouble everytime you type an inaccuracy! And last. This boy could have made some bogus lies. He could have said he saw Chris Stokes giving Puff Daddy head. But he didnt, he is telling the world that he was molested. That is not something people just lie PUBLICLY about. Maybe you could write something like, “If this is not true, then that foul of him to make it up. If this is true, then I hope the culprit is punished.” See, it’s called not taking sides, particularly on a subject that is as touchy as this.

You know those ****** up people in your life –even they have experiences. I say: It is revenge. It is their intention to ruin any career that Chris Stokes has left. There is a cause and effect to everything. The cause of these new revelations are, because they have been cut off financially, and not welcome to a recent venue Chris had.

After constant attempts to meet with him, probably to discuss the recent abolishment of their finances. Once the reality set in this is the result. They’ve probably been blackmailing him silently with this all this time.

Inciminating means to accuse self of a “crime.” If they’re so ready for healing and ready to confront the person that caused their “pain” why didn’t he say ONE time to Chris that he molested them? Why make this a media frenzy? These dudes sitting around emailing blogs and stuff. They know exactly what they’re doing.

I would feel completely sorry for them if I felt they were doing it for the right reasons, but they didn’t. Not only did they hurt their very own reputations, but also Omari, MH, and Bow Wow. People have already went crazy with the Omari and Bow are gay together since this story broke.

Peope have crossed the line on private matters and entertainment. If a story like this was going to break it should have been broke in the court of law. But all this here… it’s a circus!

I agree that it was wrong to mention Omarion, MH and the rest of the gang. They may not have been molested and/or may not be interested in dealing with it right now.

I also don’t think Chris Stokes, Marques, or Omarion are particularly relevant or that their careers are of importance at this moment.

This may effect Bow Wow more. And he has nothing to do with this.

when i first read your remarks on this story i was upset..i read your site because i believe in suporting Black owned and operated business’ but your comment about these young men putting them on blast and saying their doing this all for publicity is wrong…i could see if they just accused stokes of abusing others..but they included themselves…that spoke volumes…these allegations have been going around for a long time and people knew things were not right…where there’s smoke there’s fire…i hope these young men (the ones here on the video and the ones who left the group.) get the help that they need and deserve..i know that this is your blogg site and you can do whatever U please but some of the things that you say are really disrespectful…..you say this site is for entertainment purposes only and yet you tear whoever you want to down which to me is not entertainment but contrdictory.

im a sexual assault rape crisis counselor and as some posters mentioned yes ppl identify with their molester and 90% of ppl who are molested are being molested my a family member or close friend. i can go on and on about this but im not. i just hope razb and his brother seek therapy so they can atleast move on from the situation and get some peace om their life.

I frequently visit this site, it is actually saved to my favorites. I respect that everyone has a right to their opinion BUT when you are dealing with a situation like this I think you (Sandra)as a “journalist” needs to report and not judge. These are serious allegations and something that needs to be taken seriously!!

i do think that this young man is telling the truth b/c who wants to come out and say they were molested by a MAN and you are a man. He seems very sad and confused. We(black people) are our own worst enemies. We idolize the wrong things. Chris Stokes needs to be put in jail for violating this young man and his friends. I always vist your site Sandra but never was one to post…But it’s obvious that RAz-B is out for two things…Revenge and Attention. Instead of taking legal action or filing charges, he goes on YOUTUBE, the number one way to get notice. Like are you serious?
