R&B diva Mary J. Blige who counts down low rappers among her close friends and who is an active gay rights advocate, has fired several staff members for uttering homophobic sentiments in her presence. According to ContactMusic.com, Mary said:
‘I have heard a couple of guys say foul things, and those guys are not around me anymore. When they say things like that, I’m looking at them like, ‘What makes you so scared? You don’t know who you are?”I don’t dislike them or anything, it just makes me wonder about them period… If you are not sure about that, then you aren’t sure about a lot of things.’
Mary will be in Atlanta tomorrow to attend Porsche Foxx’s AT&T Holiday luncheon which can be heard on V-103 from 10 am - 2 pm.

GOOD JOB Mary!!! I’m not gay, but I do have gay friends and relatives and it irritates the hell out of me when somebody takes stab at them for no reason besides their sexuality. Well done!!
There are some things you need to keep to yourself. If they don’t have enough decorum to not wear their homophobia on their sleeve in front of any employer then then need to be fired. That is a lawsuit waiting to happen agains the employer whether they agree with it or not.

I think that’s great what Mary did, very brave of her and I do also love ms.blige. But on another note is it just me but every time that I have ever seen pics with jay and mary (award shows after parties, mtv unplugged etc.) he’s always smiling and so relaxed with her. I’ve noticed this for years and I’m like is it just me or does it seem like he has a crush on her or something. Its funny because I have never seen him smile or look relaxed with Beyonce. And I’m not even trying to disrespect their relationship but it just seems highly suspicious on his part.
I think the more interesting question is, who are her DL friends??? There’s an above photo of her and Jay-Z…hmmmm…whatcha trying say Sandra? LOL-and she is very close to Diddy, who is a suspected DL brotha….things that make you go hmmm…

i applaud her for taking that step. it’s a good look and it’s not to say that you have to love gay people with open arms however, bashing and trashing them ain’t cute or called for either and in business… especially the music business… they are plentiful. so either learn to work respectfully with them or get movin’.
