Mike Vick Sentenced to 23 Months
Suspended Falcons quarterback Mike Vick was sentenced to 23 months in a federal prison today for taking part in a dog fighting conspiracy that involved illegal gambling and killing dogs. Vick received one month less than two years for time already served. Vick also faces state charges in addition to the federal conviction.
Vick, who appeared in court wearing prison stripes, could have been sentenced to five years by District judge Henry E. Hudson. Vick apologized to the court and his family but the judge admonished him for forgetting his fans: “You need to apologize to the millions of young people who looked up to you.”

Oh well. What can you do. Good luck to the brotha. I hope he has learned a valuable lesson and this will be his last jail bid. I think the State of Virginia needs to leave him alone. What more do people want from him?
Damn he still have to do more time from the state…I hope that just the boy make it. I think he learned his lesson.

Well I think that was too much time. That hockey player drove drunk and killed a human and did not get anytime and is still playing. I guess animals are more important than humans. Yes it was wrong and dumb of him to do but rapist get less time than this.
damn, that’s a long time… i guess he deserved it though….

oh damn 23mos is definitely harsh, especially since we don’t know if the state will be giving him more time..smh..i hope he learned his lesson..

Why 23 months ? Society cares more for dogs , then they do human begins. Why was he chosen as the poster child for this , we all know people who have , or still participate in this activity , however no one attacks the hunter , for killing game . I would put this in the same category and dog fighting .
