J5 NYE bash at Studio 72

First let me say Happy New Year and welcome to 2008! I wasn’t going to update today but there is so much going on that I thought I would go ahead and post some pics from last night’s festivities around the country.

Edit: Yes, I edited this post because I was joking about JD but some of you have no sense of humor.

Anyway, Jermaine Dupri did accomplish what he set out to do: he did bring 5 Jacksons to his trendy nightclub for his NYE bash in Tucker, Georgia. From what I could make out in this grainy video, Marlon, Jermaine, Tito, Jackie (and Janet who didn’t mingle much) did make it out to the affair.

My source who was there said Janet did as much as she could to disappear into the fabric of the seat cushions she was sitting on. Janet should stop acting like she’s an enigma because that time will come when she will be to old and decrepit to enjoy life and she is going to wish she could have these years back.

I wish I could have been there. I’m a huge Jackson 5 fan and am actually listening to their greatest hits right now. My 3 year old must have liked the CD cover because she asked me to play it.

yeah where was Micheal? was not he an original before Jackie replaced him later?. Micheal proberly would of turned that shit out dancing doing all his moves spinning like a top and what not. Just happy to be there.

Sandra, If you not going to post pictures can you tell us who else was there? I thought Nelly & Ashanti was suppose to be there and Usher too! I thought Janet was always like that at parties…I’ve never heard about her mingling the crowds!

Jackie didn’t replace Michael. Jackie was always in the group. Randy replaced Jermaine. Once Michael left the group to embark on a solo career that was the end of the Jackson 5. They came out with 2300 Jackson St. in the 90’s, but that CD was so stinky that I plan to ask for my mney back on that one if I ever get to see a Jackson up close and personal.

Marlon and Randy were the cutest after Michael back in tha day. [THE DREAM] AND DON’T STOP TIL YOU GET ENOUGH IS THE SONG FOR THIS SHIT![/THE DREAM] I’m mad Michael wasn’t there!! But I guess its for the greater good because you know folks would be passing out in need of oxygen. (And I’m mad than papa Joe was clubbing at Jay-Z’s 40/40 club).

You know? I would have been pissed if I showed up to this event and the only thing I saw them do was keep checking their watches!! YAWN!! Nice to see them looking good though.
