I love this video! It was my top post today too!! I’m so glad that Erykah is back in the game. She was surely missed. I thought the new CD was called “New Amerykah”…did they change the title already???
I think the title of her album is “Amerykahh” or something like that….
Love her and her music. I just wonder why she can’t keep a man. Makes me wonder what kind of person she really is. From the outside looking in she seems like a keeper, so what’s the problem. She couldn’t keep Andre 3k, Common, or that other dude she had a baby by.
Now THIS is different; the video, that is. I like the song too. I hope she gets promoted properly…and that she stay away from whatever it was that had her mumbling (some years back) at the Soul Train awards show.

I am sooooooooo happy that Erykah is coming back out, and she sounds so much like the old Erykah that I know this album is going to recertify her as an icon, but……..

Did anybody else peep the Nas diss besides me. She has an album cover made to look just like the old Illmatic cover and instead of NAS in the corner for the name it says LIAH.
Had to point that out…..please continue giving Ms. Badu her much deserved props ;O)

Don’t get me wrong, I really like Erykah, but I just always wondered about her. Rather it be the man that’s not good enough or her. She’s a soulistic kind of girl, you would think she would make better choices in men if it was the man. She just had a baby and her and dude broke up soon after.
Either way, it’s not a big deal. Like I said, I just wonder why she can’t keep a man. You know Sandra has all sorts of people that read her blog, I’m just seeing what someone would say that actually knows something first hand.
That was hott. Too bad I’ll probably never get to see it on TV since none of the video channels don’t really play videos anymore. Lawd knows the kiddies won’t vote for it on 106 & Park.

I love that she has a tribute to Hey Ya in the middle of the video. I think her and Andre make the perfect couple. I read somewhere recently that she says her baby daddy is really cool. They’re both gifted, creative, unique and make the best music. I love it

I don’t understand the why’s when’s & how’s of her relationships even being relevent….I’ve never understood people who feel like just because someone makes a living that puts them in the public eye that their personal business is everyone elses business…Unless they are a politician…Just enjoy the entertainment and deal with your own issues…..Thanks….

Erykah is so awesome, I just love her music, her style, everything I see she touched on a lot of 80’s themes in her video she definitley has an ol skool spirit!! & she has a nice shape you know she never use to show it when she first came out, now it seems like she is starting to show her body off a lil bit more!! go head ms. Badu I ain’t mad at you!! I kinda wish her & Andre had of worked out they seem like the perfect fit, but I never knew she has a baby by DOC wow when the hell did they hook up?? Maybe that’s why Common left who knows!!
Oh another thing is her video is already the jam of the week on MTV Jams so thats a start, they play it like every half hour, also the VH1 soul channel plays it quite often as well so girlfriend is on her way I’m sure they will have it on 106&Park for a new video of the day but as far as them voting for it you guys are probably right cause that show is catered to more of a younger crowd if it ain’t Soulja Boy or somebody like that they don’t want to hear it

@ Kenyanhottie, Mariah’s new album is called “That Chick”. I haven’t heard any tracks yet, nothing has seem to leak yet. Personally I’m not a fan so you probably wouldn’t want to know my opinion anyways.
MTV and Vh-1 have alternative soul stations. If you have cable, it might be part of your basic plan. I’m not one for asking anyone to upgrade, but in this case, it might be worth it to upgrade if it’s not part of your basic package.
Most of R&B’s good music doesn’t get heavy rotation unless some big-wig think they’re discovering the next Whitney or Usher. Look at how long it has taken Crisette Michelle to take off. I was really happy to see Vh-1 showcase her a few months back, now a whole new audience is discovering her. This same new audience may never hear Erykah’s new CD.
oh i just thought that if u have OnDemand, u can probably watch it there too
