Forbes Names Beyonce The Richest Woman in R&B
Forbes named singer/entrepreneur Beyonce richest woman in R&B based on her concert grosses, merchandising revenue, album sales and other business interests.
According to Forbes, Beyonce, who came in #5 on the list and #1 in female urban music, earned an estimated $27 million dollars in revenue thanks to endorsement deals and sales of her multi platinum album B’Day. (Source)

Anywho, I was disappointed that Beyonce wast the only black woman on the list. If you count Mariah (race unknown) then there were two. Why aren’t we supporting our artists? Brittney Spears shouldn’t be beating black women who are still grinding in the business.

I think that is said that we can’t be happy for another black person who is doing it. Her endorsement deals will never stop, she will always make money and people will continue to use her to sell their products. Instead of hating on her wealth check yourself and see why you are still broke

It must be nice to reach so many goals and so much success before you’re even 30. Beyonce seems like a genuinely happy person. I think that says a lot to her character that she can reach such a level of succes in the entertainment world at such a young age and not be broken down by it…Although I’m in my 30’s Ima catch up because I refuse to do the 9-5 grind my whole life….But B…you are doin it sister. There are people twice your age with half your success and that’s why you will always be hated…Luv Ya!

im shocked that she only nade that amount as much as beyonce never takes a break, lol she bust her ass and thats all she made. there r numerous women on that list who u dnt see half as much as u see beyonce and they made money too. we dnt see shakira alot and she made more than beyonce, umm, i know some ppl will say im hating but whatever. just because we as the public see ppl alot dnt mean they’re making the big bucks like some assume they are, lol

She certainly did enough over the last year and half to ensure that wealth. I remember reading or watching an interview of her once saying that there was a certain amount of money she wanted to have by a certain age. I can’t recall specifics, but this was before Dreamgirls. It’s as if her goal was to set out to make money, which is cool, but I had to wonder during the Dreamgirls hoopla why she changed it to wanting to win an Oscar, a Tony and a Golden Globe; I mean, aside from the obvious, but still. This displayed to me what she really wants: a lot of money. Kudos to her for stretching herself thin to get the paper she desires.

People can say what they want about Miss Bey, but they can’t say she dosen’t have talent. If people can be real and truthful for a moment, there’s a handful of females in the industry that can actually sing. Ciara, Rihanna, Janet are not one of them. Bey can sing and dance at the same time - the other ladies can lip sync and dance at the same time.
