Ronald Davis, the suspected trigger man in the murders of two women and their babies in Indianapolis made a court appearance in a Marion county courtroom today. Two of his co-defendants, Donte Hobson and Jasper Frazier made statements placing the murder weapon in Davis' hand the night of Jan. 14.

According to a police affidavit, officers responding to a report of gunfire at the home found the two women and their children in a back bedroom on the floor between a bed and a wall. Each victim had been shot multiple times. Only Charlii was still breathing.

According to the affidavit, an officer carried Charlii from the back bedroom and handed her to a paramedic through a window. Charlii was later pronounced dead at Methodist hospital. A blood trail from the back bedroom to the front room was later determined to be Charlii's. 10 shell casings were found in the back bedroom of the home the two women shared.

Gina Hunt, 24, her son Jordan, 23 months, Andrea Yarrell, 24 and her daughter Charlii, 4 months were laid to rest in separate funerals this past week. Thousands turned out to pay their last respects. The women were interred with their babies in adjoining plots.

Welp, I'm disturbed. I just didn't expect the kids to be in there too :-/

    Capital punishment for all involved.

  • pinkvirgo

This is a downright shame. Senseless and stupid. What the hell are we doing?

  • genifur2

This is just disgusting. Too many black men are just predators. Where are our black civil rights leaders protesting all this black on black violence that is robbing our communities. If these guys were white, black people would be marching, stomping, and rioting. I hope they get the death penalty. This is an outrage. I'm not praying for these animals. My prayer go to the victims. Yes, I wish they would bring lynching back and start with these fools!!

What we need to do is package up all these drug dealers, gangstas and trigga happy fools (black, white, hispanic whatever) send 'em over to the hot Middle East so they can have it out with real bangers (insurgents) and bring our real troops home.

    It'd be priceless.

  • hellava10

It's time to get on our knees for real and start praying for these lost souls and healing for the families.

R.I.P to the beautiful women/mothers that they were and blessed the beautiful babies for they did not deserve this....these men need to burn in hell, god forgive me but that makes no sense....what were the babies going to do , tell who the men were??? when they get in prison they gonna get in those a@$$%$. and I hope they do them in well

  • Storybook

The hell of it is these MOTHERS, the women that birthed these babies had them around that madness. I have to think that if you in that business you know you got a target on your back. To bring your babies around it, babies too young to know how to hide or what or who to fear! This just breaks my heart. As for the wild dogs who murdered them, put them down ...put them down, they have no reason or purpose. Once its determined they did it, do not waste money feeding them. Put them down.

Just think, if these girls were as cold blooded as drug dealers are supposed to be in their business dealings two of these men would have been shot instead of the women and their children. The ladies had guns and ammunition in the house and apparently it was difficult for the guys to break in the house as evidenced by the fact that they actually went back to the car when they couldn't get in on the first attempt, so the ladies knew they were coming and had time to get the weapons, but chose to hide instead. The drug game is not for the faint of heart. Had they bust a cap in someone ass maybe the men in their neighborhood would have stopped robbing them every five minutes.

  • uhbeautifulmind

Does anyone know if they have the death penalty in that state? Personally I believe in torture. People like this deserve a special kind of death.

  • MIZZ.I_REP_ATL

    THIS IS SAD. JUST SAD.

(BLACK) AMERICA, WE NEED 2 WAKE UP FOR REAL.

  • tanders

Yes, uhbeautifulmind, We do have death penalty in this state. I work with some of the people that grew up with the two women and I have been following this story here in the NAP. I was not there and did not know the mothers enough to judge them. All I know is that those two beautiful young black women and their two beautiful babies SHOULD NOT HAVE DIED THE WAY THEY DID! They were pleading for there lives! They were pleading for the lives of their children. Yes, they were in a dope house, o.k. I give you that, but to kill me and my babies over WEED? Not crack, Weed! I believe these women loved their children but made bad choices (WHICH WE ALL DO) Life can sometimes fool you to thinking some choices are good and they are really bad in the end. You see, that what Satan does. He comes to kill, steal and destroy! I pray for the families and the children that Gina left behind and I pray that we pray for GODS

  • tanders

WILL to be done. NOT MAN! May they rest in peace and for the people who did it. MAY GOD HAVE MERCY ON YOUR SOULS!!!!

  • free

what makes these women so special? because they were females? if it had been two dudes nobody would've blinked an eye. suddenly, they are beautiful black women and this is a mega-tragedy but nobody calls the men beautiful when they're in the game. nobody calls the murder of our men tragedies. it happens every day.

it's despicable that they had their kids in that mess. i would hope that the mothers ran AWAY from the kids when they got run up in but it doesn't appear that way. the only thing that's a shame in this situation is the way and environment in which some of our children are being raised.

  • J Gats Juice

Bird & Free, I have to agree with you. As sick as this crime was, these women were not angels. I honestly believe they used their children as shields. I'm not a parent, but i know i would never place my seed in that type of situation. That is just crazy.

  • niastar

    @ storybook:

This is not those mothers fault. Please do not try to blame this on them. Those men are animals and will rot in hell for what they have done.

We as people of all backgrounds need to value life more than what we do. If it was not for this site I would know nothing of this situation. It's time that we stand up for what is important. I just say one of these young ladies could have been me. I am a 25 year old mother of two and that could have been me. Some dumb ass people entering my home and killing me and my kids. Lord Have Mercy On Us All!!!! My the young ladies who had a life full of joy and there children that never had a chance to really be children rest in peace.

    God Bless!!!!!!

  • J Gats Juice

Brown Suga, that could've been any of us.... But this could've also been avoided. These women were in a DOPE HOUSE with their young children. Where was the concern for the child's life when the mother placed the baby in that house?
Yes, someone could break in my home & shoot up my roommate & I. That would be tragic because we have no ties to the street game & were innocent victims. But these women placed themselves in harm's way by being in the dealings they were in. I feel bad, believe me, I do. However, I cant feel bad for someone who would even place their child in this kinda situation.

TO ALL THE NEGATIVE COMMENTS.......COME ON BLACK PEOPLE STOP BEING SO HEARTLESS AND IGNORANT LIKE THE AVERAGE BLACK PERSON....CLEARLY IT WAS WRONG FOR THE MOTHERS TO HAVE THIER INNOCENT BABIES AROUND THIS MADNESS...CLEARLY THEY WERE VERY WRONG!!!! HOWEVER WHO OR WHAT COULD LOOK INTO THE EYES OF ANY CHILD AND NOT CARE ABOUT THE LIFE THE SOULD!!!? I HAVE AN 8 YEAR OLD MYSELF AND I CAN HONESTLY SAY THAT HE HAS PROBABLY RECEIEVED 3 SPANKINGS IF THAT HIS ENTIRE LIFE!!! I TALK TO MY CHILD, CHESTIZE HIM, AND SOMETIMES PUNISH HIM BY TAKING AWAY HIS FAVORITR THINGS..BUT IT KILLS MY HEART TO HAVE TO SPANK HIM...THEREFORE IT LEAVES ME TO ONLY BELIEVE THAT THESE GUTTER RAT MEN (EVERY FREAKIN LAST ONE OF THEM!!!!!!) HAVE NO HEART AT ALL...HOW CAN THEY CARE ABOUT THE NEXT PERSON WHEN IT'S OBVIOUS THEY DON'T EVEN CARE FOR THEMSELVES!!!!!! THESE PEOPLE BOTH MOTHERS AND CHILDREN DID NOT UNDER ANY DAMN CIRCUMSTANCES DESERVE TO DIE PERIOD!!!!!!!FOR SOME DANG WEED, GUNS, SAFE WHATEVER!!!!!!! AND IF YOU HEARD THE INTIAL STORY...THE ROBBERS (WHICH THERE ARE A TOTAL OF COWARD AZZ GUTTER RATS!!!) ASKED THE WOMEN WHERE ARE THE DRUGS, THE MONEY, THE SAFE, AND THE GUNS? WHEN ONE RESPONDED THEY DIDN'T HAVE THOSE THINGS THEY SHOT THE 4 MONTH OLD AND THE 23 MONTH OLD.....WHAT KIND OF SATANIC CRAP IS THAT!!! LET ME GET OFF OF HERE CAUSE I'M TOO STEAMED UP ABOUT THIS AS A MOTHER MYSELF!!!!! LET ME END WITH THIS...YES AT FIRST I THOUGHT THAT THEY ALL SHOULD BE EXECUTED FOR WHAT THEY DID...BUT WHY MAKE IT THAT EASY FOR THEM TO BE DEAD AND GONE...WHY NOT LET THEM LIVE I COMPLETE SOLITUDE, WITH MINIMAL FOOD, NO HUMAN INTERACTION, NOTHING.....SO THEY CAN SPEND THE REST OF THIER LIVES DREAMING AND THINKING ABOUT WHAT THEY DID. THEY NEED TO POST PHOTOS THAT ARE OUT OF THIER REACH ON THE CEILING OF THIER CELLS SO THEY CAN SEE DAILY THE LIVES THAT THE CUT SHORT FOR FREAKING WHAT...HELL I CAN'T COME UP WITH ANYTHING HORRIBLE ENOUGH TO DO TO THESE INDIVIDUALS....I CAN'T EVEN FIX MY MOUTH TO SAY GOD HELP THEM......BLESSINGS AND PRAYERS TO THE FAMILIES OF THE LIVES LOST, AND GINA, JORDAN, CHARLII, AND ANDREA I KNOW YOU ARE INSIDE HEAVENS GATE....GOD FOREVER KEEP YOU SAFE AND WARM AND NEAR HIS SIDE. • cjlessie

I had to comment, because I really felt compelled by the devastation of this act. I agree that these women shouldn't have had their children around this nonsense, but is that really the issue here? Honestly, what kind of evil does it take to ever, ever want to take a child's life? What have we come to in this day where human life doesn't have anymore value to it? The picture was disturbing to say the least, and yes I was worned. However, I think that people should see it. They should see the human devastation behind the crime. It is so easy for us to hear about a crime, feel bad, and then move on. Yet, when it's all up in your face like this it can touch a nerve. Maybe that is what we all need.

  • tamigage

To all of you who think the women are at fault, SHAME ON YOU!! It doesn't matter if they had a ton of drugs in that house, they DID NOT deserve to be killed nor did they deserve to have their innocent babies murdered. I am disgusted to think that there are people who feel the women deserved this. And for the person who is turning this around and focusing on the fact that they were women and not men and if they were men, they wouldn't be calling them beautiful..what the heck does that have to do with anything. What is your level of education? There are FOUR human beings that are no longer in the land of the living. There are mothers and fathers and sisters and brothers mourning right now and people want to blame the women?! What is wrong with you? Would you feel the same way if that was your little sister lying in one of those caskets with her precious baby beside her. This is absolutely senseless and nothing but prayer will get the families through this so I pray for their strength and may the dogs that did this get what they deserve and more! No one...man, woman, child...should be killed over drugs.

It happens people...especially if you are in that environment.

They are with God now...No disrespect to anyones opinion on this tragedy. But you can not knock ones hustle. This was a horrible crime that did not have to go down the way that it did. Yes men are in the game and killed everyday. and no people dont say oh they where such beautiful men why did that have to happen to them.and it is a double standard but it is also a more common happening. These young ladies and their babies did not deserve to be gunned down like this in their own home by a bunch of banchies that could have easily got their own hustle on. And like stated before they took these lives over some weed. which they found in the house anyway so they did not even get that. These ladies were obviously scared to death for their lives and the lives of their babies. lets not condemn them for the way that they were living. we were not walking in their shoes to know what they were exactly going through in their everyday lives. no i have never been a drug dealer or did anything illegal for that matter and my hustle is my two full time jobs. but i will not and cannot knock anyone for how they were making their money to raise and take care of theirs. I also think that the blame game of the mothers should not continue these ladies have lost their lives and the lives of their lil ones behind greed and straight hatred. these men will burn in hell for what they did to these individuals. no money should be wasted on trials or housing them for the rest of their lives. they should be killed like the animals that they truly are. lets keep our children safe people. dont knock people for what they do to survive. if you are in a position to help do that. Intervention and prevention are the things that these young people need. yes this happened but with all together we can try to help it not happening again. take time in your communities to reach out to young woman and men let them know that you care no you may not be able to give them money but help them reach others goals in their life to were they dont have to hustle. JUST SOME FOOD FOR THOUGHT PEOPLE.PEACE AND LOVE TO ALL....

I just wish we as black people weren't so hard on each other all the time. These women were murdered in cold blood regardless of the circumstances and I've read more critisisms than condolences. Even in death we can't let up on each other...That's so sad. We have all put ourselves in harms way in some way in our lifetime no matter how small. But just because God had enough grace to allow us to LIVE an learn from our mistakes doesn't give us the right to judge those who didn't get that chance. Yes its sad that innocent babies had to die as a result of thier own mothers poor choices but you can't assume that everyone has the same upbringing as you. To some people its everyday life for thier kids to be around and even tranport drugs. Kids in Africa & the middle east die everyday over drugs, diamonds, religeous beliefs, etc. because of thier environment. So pleas STOP thinking that everyone enjoys the same reality that you do! RIP

  • free

you are entitled to your opinion and i am entitled to mine. to question level of education or to call people ignorant [and then say like the average black person] based on their point of view is petty at best and certainly not appropriate for a blog where people WILL have differing opinions.

tamigagge states that these are four HUMAN beings but then has a problem with me asking why does a woman's life create more outrage than a man. why aren't we this passionate when a brother leaves behind 3, 4, 5, 6 seeds or more? if we become equally outraged when our men are killed or when their children are left with no father, and all that we know comes with that, then perhaps we will begin to put a stop to this madness.

children are being left behind left and right because of the drug game. now they are being killed. what's ignorant is that this game and everything associated with it has produced young men (and women) so violent that they would do such a thing. the good in this perhaps is that some young mother may turn her life around if she is in a similar situation now knowing that there is no code of honor in the game.

My heart goes out to the families. This is truly a tragedy to the third degree. Words can't describe the anger I feel from looking at these pictures and reading the story. BLACK FOLKS WAKE THE HELL UP AND LET'S STOP KILLING OURSELVES AND EACH OTHER!!!!!

  • heavonliisoul

Okay, Okay, Okay, now please explain to me when are we as a people going to "get it together"? We actually hate ourselves more than white people do. Don't get me wrong I don't believe all white people hate us nor do I believe that all Blacks hate who we are as a people, but the mass majority of us do. He we were specially designed and created to be the supreme being's on this planet, but instead of embracing our self worth we hinder it by doing exactly the opposite. Now this is for the people that feel the need to blame these two black women for their deaths. That's just STUPID. Why the hell would they want to die or better yet kill their children? Yes they should have not been in the situation they faced on that dark night, but they were. For the person that said he/she could not read the BOLD print message... You embarrass not only yourself, but the black community.

The reason for the bold text was because she was yelling at you for your stupid comments. Anytime a person type in bold they are trying to make a point and they want you to hear what the hell they are saying. Now for the other person that said if it was a man no one would shed a tear or think they are beautiful or something like that... This is the dumbest thing you could have said too. Each person on this God forsaking planet makes a choice in life, but death is not part of that choice. Although I don't agree with the selling of drugs and I've never done this personally, I have to believe that these people feel that they have no other way of making it. Black men need to stand up and take responsibility for the way this world is.

Take responsibility for the fact that our youth has gone mad because you are not there to show them the love they deserve. You are not there to help support them when they struggle in school, when they are being bullied into doing something other than getting a good education, when they have a beautiful woman and they impregnate her to stand as a man is suppose to and hold her down the exact way she would do you. Black men have lost out on so much and don’t want to take responsibility for the way thing's are. I don't live where these two women died at, but I feel their families’ pain. I lost a brother through gun fire. My brother was a father of 6 and loved his kids more than life itself, but he wasn't a gang banger. He wasn't a drug dealer, but in fact he was an entrepreneur. He dressed like the boys that sold drugs and for this he was killed. The two young men thought he had allot of money on him because he had a nice car, gold in his mouth, dressed really nice, and had women at his beckon call. They were so wrong. In fact, they never knew that this young black man would help “ANY OTHER BLACK MAN” if he could. He had a family that was wealthy and they helped him start his 1st business. His older sister bought him his rims on his truck. His sister bought him his diamonds in his ears. His mother and father bought him his truck with the TV's and thump in it. His girlfriend/fiancé helped him re-up on new clothes and shoes each week when it was time. They could care less about all these facts. Instead all they cared about was taking his life.

My brother had a gun and he tried to get to it even when the boys let him walk ahead of them, but he was not luck enough to get to it, because they figured out what he was trying to do and they killed him on the side of his apartment. So you see if the story is true and these two women had allot of weapons within the house and they did not get to any of them, they more than likely was trying to negotiate because their babies were there. Let’s say for argument sake that they did get to the guns and they fired at the men. The men of course would have fired back. Who’s to say that these guys left back out of the house to go back to their car? Who would do this? That would be stupid for the women not to go out the back door verses shoot a gun. Please think about how crazy that sounds. No one was inside the house to assure these women don’t get a gun? No one was watching to assure these women don’t get away? Lastly if one of the children was killed 1st why would the other mother think to say okay I’ll tell you where the drugs and guns are just to protect the child that’s living? People need not make up their own conclusions. The only person that knows exactly what happened is God, these men and those women.

Who in their right mind would think these men would buck off at two women and their babies? No one! This is truly a heartless person(s). I don't believe in the death penalty, but I do agree with the young lady stating that they should serve 4 consecutive life sentences not having any outside contact (ie: inmates, family, friends, letters, TV, music, and not even sunlight). There should be a little sunlight once a week for 10 minutes per week. They should be subjected to have to watch flashes of the death of all 4 of them for the rest of their lives. They should have to see images of the house where these 4 people were killed, images of their funeral, the tears of their loved one's, the babies, how the 4 of them were found, and the same food for the rest of their lives until they leave this earth. They should have to write to the family apologizing everyday for their heinous act. They should never get to see another human being even when the guards come by to feed them. The guards should be in full body armor and never allowed to talk to them. They don’t deserve to shower or anything else for that matter. They gave all those luxuries up when they killed these people. This is not the 1st crime these boys committed, because it was too easy to kill these women and their babies. I would weep for both men and women. Death is death to me and no one deserves to die like this. We were put her to multiply, not die some of the worst death's ever. This was horrible. May God bless and protect each and every one of you. Please free your mind and know that you are not alone. Let's come together and help one another. Stop the silence and the violence.

  • heavonliisoul

    Free (post #45),

I am in agreeance with you, but you have to remember that it is because the black man (not all) has given up in the 1st place. This is why they rely on selling this mess that's taking us out in an alarming rate. Black men (not all) are not being removed because of black women, but in fact they removed themselves from the family setting. Black men (not all) don't want the responsibility of having children. They would prefer running around with this woman and that woman. Please don't get me wrong, but we as woman are at fault for this. We don't hold our men accountable for nothing they do. We make excuses for why they stay out all night. Why they sell drugs, and especially for why they cheat on us (our children included) and we take them back.

You as a man are not ignorant, but your thought process as to weather we as women don't weep when another black man's life is ended for something stupid. I cry every time I turn on the news because there is another story written about the loss of another black man. This kills me, but I can't stop this tragedy without the help of the community. We as a people don't fight for life, especially if it doesn’t directly affect us and this is truly sad.

You as a black man keep your head up and know that there are strong black women out here that hurt when you hurt no matter weather we know them or not.

    Be safe and God bless.

  • istandbehindtheIam

@areiyonbaby...I don't mean no ill will, were just debating here, but I DO have a problem with some folks "hustle", especially when it's designed to hurt others, since when do dealing drugs to someone's mother, sister, brother, cousin, KIDS become such a noble and accepted stance in our community just so one can survive? So, sister Betty down the way, has a son/daughter that's a dope fiend and it's ok to hustle 'em, just so YOURS can eat and survive, doesn't that sound sinister to you? We GOT to do better, starting with and reprogramming how we think. MLK would roll over in his grave to think his vision has come to this.
We are all outraged at the recent events in Indy, we all have different opinions why it happened, should it have happened this way, and so on and so on but the bottom line is WE ARE ALL EQUALLY PISSED OFF, mostly because babies were involved. I ask myself, would it be much less division if these ladies were living a drug free lifestyle, probably, would the low lives still shoot even if they handed over the drugs, who knows, but all that is water under the bridge, we got to move on....alot of us, ME included are from the ole school, "an ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure", but life moves in different paths and not everyone thinks like that. Evil is amongst every hour, minute, second of the day, that's why for me, I want to live my life where my hand does not do ANYTHING to hurt or offend someone else, I'm not perfect but that's how I strive to live my life, it's not about getting your hustle on, it's about doing the right thing and we've lost sight of that in our community because the focus is on bling-bling, cars, gold teeth, being a rapper, etc., etc.

    We can do better.

  • Dees74

This is so sad...too young too soon. Babies, you mean to tell me that this is what black men are doing, killing babies for "weed". Defenseless babies....Let the world see the photos of these young women and their babies. Let the world know that we as black people still have a long way to go. My heart goes out to the families. This was senseless and so immoral. All suspects deserve the highest punishment including death. We have to do better people, what is going on? We need to stop these senseless killings and start loving each other and uplifting one another. We need to educate our youth especially our young men. If they put as much effort into education and empowering themselves they would have so much more going on. I thank you Sandra for bringing this story to us to open our eyes.

    Free, (comment #25)

I don't know what your gripe is about women but to clear up a few things, THEY WERE TWO BEAUTIFUL YOUNG BLACK WOMEN WITH TWO BEAUTIFUL YOUNG BLACK BABIES! Secondly, IT WASN'T TWO BLACK MEN AS THE VICTIMS, IT WAS TWO BLACK WOMEN. And finally, for your information, MY 24 YEAR OLD YOUNG BLACK BEAUTIFUL BROTHER WAS KILLED IN 1994 FOR GETTING A RIDE HOME FROM HIS FRIEND WHO WAS IN THE DOPE GAME AND THEY BOTH WERE SHOT DOWN LIKE DOGS WITH A 9MM! HE LEFT BEHIND MY BEAUTIFUL BLACK NEICE (HIS ONLY DAUGHTER) FOR US TO RAISE. IT HAPPENED ON MY SON (WHO IS NOW 14) 1 YEAR OLD BIRTHDAY! SO FOR YOU TO JUDGE ME BY THINKING THAT BECAUSE THEY WERE WOMEN, THEN YOU NEED SOME SOUL SEARCHING. WE ALL HURT OVER SENSELESS DEATHS WHETHER BOY,GIRL, WOMEN,MEN, BLACK, WHITE, GREEN OR YELLOW!!!! GOD LOVED US ALL AND I WILL DEFINETELY PRAY FOR YOU. GOD BLESS

Correction, GOD LOVES US ALL. And not all of our black men are bad. I am blessed to be married to one of them and blessed to have his to sons who are high honor roll students. We don't live in the suburbs or high class areas. We live in the hood. I was born and raised in the hood. Seen alot of things go down. But, one thing I do know, we as PARENTS have to start praying constantly for our babies (ESPECIALLY WHILE THEIR LITTLE) because this world is not getting any better! I watch my mother work her fingers to the bone to raise her 4 children (3 boys,1 girl). She kept us in church, taught us how to pray, punished us for our wrong decisions out of pure love. But, when we got older we made our own choices in life. But, one thing we remembered, Momma planted that seed in us so we can know right from wrong and be convicted by our wrongs. A lot of us do things and just don't give a damn. Which sounds like the 5 men that killed those people. Message, DON'T STOP PRAYING PARENTS, LET'S RAISE UP A NEW NATION AND NEVER GIVE UP ON YOUR BABIES.

heavonliisoul, i am a woman. i raised a question about the black man in the same position as the women put themselves in. you went on about what the black man has done (i'm not sure any of it was positive) but the women appear to get a pass because, like someone said, it's their "hustle".

anyway, all, hopefully we can agree to disagree like grown people because there is no need to yell in bold print or make statements that people's comments are dumb and whatever. there is no reason for this to quickly erode to name calling about comments.

i'm w/you istandbehindtheIam, i am from the old school as well and when i think about what has become accepted in our community, it hurts me. when i heard about this, i began to think about the state of our community. even the victim's mother separated black on black crime from women and children crime. then she went on to say that it all has to stop, and it does. the violence is obviously escalating and why do we think it wouldn't? juveniles, who cannot even be tried as adults in some circumstances, have gone from vandalizers to cold, hard executioners. it's all the same w/the same consequences. and the murdererers coming out of our community today have no code of ethics or morality.

whether it happens to a man or a woman, or whether the child is dead or alive and left to fend w/o a father (in which case the odds are against the child), it still has profound effects for us as a people.

Hello All....I would just like to reiterate my original comment....Why do black people always say "WE AS A PEOPLE" and "OUR COMMUNITY"? We are not the only group of PEOPLE that have violence in OUR COMMUNITY. Let's remember that please! There's violence all over the world! So let's stop acting like we are the only race of people that gives birth to killers! Stop acting like we are the only race that needs to do better! The HUMAN race needs to do better! Not just the black race! And for the old schoolers....Some people didn't have a momma to instill anything into them...Some children grew up as wards of the state and orphans and foster kids as well as homeless...Being raised by people who didn't give a flying F8@#% about them! And as I stated before...Everyone wants to talk about what they would and wouldn't do and how they were raised.....Again, that's YOUR reality! Everyone was not raised under the same circumstances as you! And I understand how someone can yell on this blog...Because there is ONE thing that WE AS A PEOPLE do have a monopoly on and that's IGNORANCE!!!!! No disrespect to the non-judgemental and open minded sisters & brothers of the panel...Thank U!

Free, I agree with your comments. Sad part about writing is that it can always be misconstrued or taken out of context and is truly left up to interpretation. I understand what you are saying. No, I don’t believe anyone is saying that the mother’s of these children deserved this, but I think what is being pointed out is a valid point, we put ourselves in some situation that have very harsh consequences. Yes, young people do make mistakes but they also pay for them. My heart goes out to their families of both theses girls. The ones who are defending their choices to put themselves and their children in this situation, may want to talk to their mothers. Even they seem to be aware of the bad choices that their children created and in turn led to this outcome. Not that they hurt any less, fight less for justice for their deaths, or grieve their loss any less. As mothers (mature mothers) we come to a place where we pray for our children and hope that they will make the right decisions. We try to advise them when they are going to far the wrong way, but we do not dismiss their downfalls. Take time to really look at what is truly be said here. We hurt because we loss 4 people to senseless violence within the black community. That violence started well before these four were killed. When do we get involved and start taking responsibility for what we as a black community have become?

What is more disturbing to me is the people on this blog who feel it is ok to call each other stupid and yet be upset that these two ladies made stupid choices. It is mind-blowing that we get so heated about our opinions that again we would put each other down but yet we can understand what is going on that would make black kill blacks. No one said they wanted to be killed or have their children killed. But as a mother, I didn’t take my son into situation that could get him hurt. To that fact, I didn’t put myself in the position. Have I been in the position? Sure I have. And immediately found a way to remove myself. Better to be poor, work two jobs and get out of the ghetto in tack than to sell drugs and keep looking over my shoulder for the cops, my rivals and just everyday hoppers. But here again…this is one persons opinion. We all have been places that shape our opinions. We are still sistas’ and we can all agree to disagree and respect another opinion. I didn’t see any stupid, ignorant opinions. I just saw sista’s who are hurting by what has happen show they are mad, not just with those who did this but with two of our fallen sista’s that we wish would have gotten out of a game they were ill-equip to be in.

Complaining is one thing!! I can't save the world but I can definitely pray for "US"!! This was a great lost and we all are grieving about this..

Lord, help us to rise above the violence, hate, murder, and complacency and begin to walk in love seeking you for guidance.

    Amen.

Complacency- 1. A feeling of contentment or self-satisfaction, especially when coupled with an unawareness of danger, trouble, or controversy.

Today this crime really hit me. There is not a word that can describe the feeling I have about this senseless death.
Yesterday, I felt doubleminded. I couldnt eat sleep or even go to work. I just felt cold and bitter inside. Although, I did not know these (4) beautiful people, I felt heartbroken to hear and see this happening. When I first heard about it, I didn't really read into it. But as I look thru all of the other archives, it puzzles me that a man could be so coldhearted that he kills children that could not even have a chance to defend or hide for safety. Not only that, they were not even old enough to have sinned. Im sorry but whoever was involved in this shooting for get the death penalty. Not by lethal injection, but by the electrical chair. I know that as christian we should forgive and forget. Let go and let God, but I question that motive. Why as christian should we let go? Our children are dying by the hands of others. Its not like God just allowed them to get sick and he calls them home. These young people died because of another hand. As a christian, I am suppose to turn the other cheek, but how can you? Did Adam & Eve really turned the other cheek when Cain struck down Abel?
God has control of everything, yet I wonder why is such death allowed with our people. What could these two women or even their boyfriend who was in a work release program could have done so wrong that the lives of their love ones were taken. FYI: Several years ago, I met a handsome man in burger king. We exchanged numbers and begin seeing each other on regular basis. I found out that he was living in a home that provided men a place to stay while on a work release program. This program allowed men who was released from prison to work and also have a little freedom. I did not know that this man "Sean" aka "Hot Pursuit" was a major drug dealer in the San Franscico Bay Area. He was "getting his money on" so they street terminology for "getting paid selling drugs while making the system happy" What was those women doing in the house with guns, drugs, and a safe? Were they holding down the fort for there men, or man or was sitting in the work release program on drug cases already? Why would they bring there children to a house where such belongings were kept? What was the motive? How could four men know what is inside of that house for them to come in a "so call, rob them?" This seems like a personal vendetta against one of those women boyfriends!!!! It seems more on a personal level. There is no way someone could be that heartless unless he is retaliating, or just a plain REJECT FROM HELL!!!!!
My last comment is that ALL THAT WAS INVOLVED IN THIS KILLING SHOULD NOT HAVE MERCY FROM THE COURT NOR SHOULD MY TAX PAYING DOLLARS SHOULD HOUSE OR FEED THEM! THEY SHOULD NOT BE ABLE TO LIVE MORE THAN 3 DAYS IN THE JAIL HOUSE.IF THERE IS A WAY THAT ALL, AND I MEAN ALL SHOULD DIE BY HANDS OF VOTES, LET THEM DIE BY THE ELECTRIC CHAIR. NOT ONE OF THEM SHOULD LIVE. PLEASE KEEP ME POSTED ON THE LATEST NEWS WHOEVER READS THIS COMMENT. I sure hope this comment makes it to the public forum. I will be on myspace trying to get people to speak out for the death penalty for all of them involved not just the shooter himself. They all should be convicted. Email me at fatmata@hotmail.com

To add to my last comment. The man I spoke on became my husband. He was sent back to prison on another drug charge. A few years later he was released and gunned down on his birthday. He had not even been home 3 days. These are senseless deaths and young people need to wake up. These activists should be out here doing something. Where is Al Sharpton now?

Reading over some information that I just discovered. One of those men were also in the work release program. Wow! now the plot thickens. What is this man Frazier really hiding. You can read it at this link below!
Also, my condolences to the family for your loss. May God go with you and yours.

This is quoted out of the article
"Earlier Thursday, police arrested Coleman in Frazier's apartment in a building in the 2100 block of Boulevard Place after about 20 SWAT officers swept into the complex. Officers arrested him on a warrant issued Jan. 16, 2007, for violating terms of a Marion County work release program. The program was part of Coleman's sentence for a 2005 armed robbery conviction"
