I was wondering the same thing. I'm sure ppl will say he lost a yr of school over the white man holdin him back in Jena & they didnt want him to graduate on time. Bull shit!!!! Dt2, u're looking for an excuse to justify him going & kickin someone's ass. Thats absurd!! Over some goddamn tires!! He lives with an uncle who plays professional football for a team that made the playoffs. His uncle cant spot him $200? Like I said, i know exactly what i would've done & that would not have been fightin over somethin i can buy again. Whether I was in Miami, Fresno, or Memphis. U can buy some tires, but how do u buy ur freedom? An entire country was behind him!! He had all the opportunity to prove himself & be successful... and what choice did he make? he went & had another fight. At what point will he take responsibility for his actions? At what point will ppl stop making excuses for these kids? Will we always say he was picked on? What will we say when he picks up a gun & kills someone? Hell, I'm short, I've been picked all my life? Did i fight everyone who called me shorty? No! U know why? I have a damn brain & I use it when I get in tough situations. ENTERTAINMENT! What irks me about the comments is the fact that some of you are the most judgemental bunch of hypocrites in the world. Yeah it's ok to sit back and judge the mistakes of others that have their lives on public display 24-7. How easy it is to hide our personal discretions behind a screen name. How fortunate you all are to not have the fact that you are having a bad hair day, abuse drugs, sell drugs, steal, abuse alcohol, gets abused physically, mentally or otherwise, have family issues .... whatever! My point is simply: WHO ARE YOU? What makes you judge and jury to something you are only hearing/reading about. Take a look at what you got going on. It's one thing to comment about fashion and gossip but to say you wish someone would go to jail ... I mean do you know what size shoes he wears? How many of you have had to walk a mile in his shoes? Get that boy into night school with his own age group, hook him up with a GED and job!!!!!!! What more support/role model does he need? He had CNN, MSNBC, and thousands of people taking off work to go to Jena and SUPPORT him. Since then, the entire group has caused a cloud of question because of their behavior SINCE. I was a little taken back from their appearance at the HH Awards and the youtube mess. You can take a person out the hood but you can't take the hood out the person.
