Okay just getting the news about this.last time I logged on I thought it was a teen,not that it matters how old a person is. The world has got to be comming to an end when people are shooting kids and killing their parents.

I have read that the teen years are full of hormonal changes for a good portion of teens, that they are more emotional, more up and down than at any other time in their lives. That they are literally mentally out of control at times. I know someone who woke up one morning at 14, took his dad’s gun and killed his mom. No reason at all, to this day 11 years later, no reason, that boy sits in prison, a family destroyed, he answered then and answers now, that he doesn’t know why he did it and he is so sorry. In the midst of all of it, I think some kids just snap, teen suicide is high, teen alcohol and drugs and teen murderers are all evidence of that.
So sad for the family, I can’t imagine the horror for them. RIP.

I can’t even imagine how he must feel.

My daughter was working in a mall that was hit by a tornado. I couldn’t find her and lost it.

We have to watch the diets of our children. We have to watch what they watch on TV and listen to on the radio.

We are losing souls and producing soul less offspring.

very very sad story, i just wonder how one is SO messed up in the head in as few as 17 years. i didnt initially think the son did it either b/c, according to news reports, he came on the scene while police were there, as if innocent. thought it was a retaliation from someone the mother locked up b4. THEN i heard he told them where the gun was, theres no fighting that guilt…RIP

attorneymom. I love your website. I too am having trouble trying to process a kid killing his family. Was he on meds, should he have been on meds? How and why can he do this? I ask these questions. I have learned in my 4 decades of life that if you give a kid too much they want even more. They have a image of running the house and having a girlfriend or boyfriend living in the house and using the life insurace money to keep the bills going. We all as parents only want the best for our children and bring them up and raise them up to always do the right thing. WHAT WENT WRONG? How can one person kill his own family? Suicide in a black person is unheard of. Mental health issues in a black person is a taboo. this kid had to of had issues that were either un diagonised or over looked. What black male kills their own family?

I don’t understand what’s happening to the world we live in..I can hope it was swift and no pain for these lives snatched away too soon..as a mother I couldn’t fathom my child turnng on me and his siblings this way..my heart bleeds behind this tragedy..Let’s hope Juvenile made ammends with his childs mother and got to know his daughter, the pain is bad enough without the guilt of putting off tomorrow what could have been done today
