According to published reports, Hollywood rallied together in a show of unity to protest the broadcasting of a video showing deceased actor Heath Ledger snorting coke. Isn't that nice? Friends who snort coke together stick together I guess. Ledger was found dead in his SoHo apartment last week of a suspected drug overdose. Toxicology reports are pending.

It is no secret that Ledger's rumored girlfriend actress Mary Kate Olsen of the famed Olsen twins sent bodyguards rushing to Ledger's apartment to "sanitize" the scene before paramedics got there.

Now we're hearing that a concerted effort by publicists and Hollywood actors has succeeded in removing the video from national television shows such as Entertainment Tonight which had planned to air parts of the video in last night's broadcast.

We're almost certain Hollywood would do the same if the deceased were Whitney Houston or Michael Jackson.

The man was a crackhead- Everyone knows that. Why are they still trying to cover it up like he's some type of saint?

He Lived... He Smoked Crack... He died... Oh well, moving right along... NEXT!!!

Hollywood is the most racist "liberal" place around.....next to Massachusetts (j/k!).

  • http://www.myspace.com/birdshu Bird

From what I understand Heath is not shown doing drugs on the video. Also, Mary Kate may have sent her body guards to help in some way, but the police were already there when they arrived so they didn't clean up anything. That's what's been reported anyway.

  • http://www.findentertainmentnow.com miesha@FindEntertainmentNow.com

The reports say it was NOT Heath in the video doing drugs and they say Mary Kate Olsen is just a FRIEND. True...maybe yes maybe no but give the man's family their rest and peace...this is difficult.

  • niastar

So how long are YOU going to talk about this Sandra? So you are just as sad as the other media outlets trying to benefit from this young mans death, and don't act like that is not the reason why you are still posting about this. You are so fu**ing sad. R.I.P to Heath Ledger. My prayers are with his little girl.

  • niastar

And it is not Heath in the video snorting the cocaine. The only thing he was doing was drinking a beer and he said that he smoked weed before...OOOOHH BIG DEAL!! Get the f*ck out of here.

  • ms.peaches

I really disgust me when you have heartless people that feel the way they do about Death, I understand we all don't or didn't know this man personally but that doesn't mean we can't grieve a little at least for his child I hope & pray when its your time (MZN) that someone will have something decent to say about you!! Not to mention the fact if he were black he would get a lot more respect on this site when Pimp C died people were sad & it was RIP all day but a white boy that played a gay cowboy died & yall got him being a crackhead!! yeah he may have been but like I stated before we have had alot of our black stars die from the same thing & they never got that much disrespect!! WAKEUP & also Sandra you are dragging this thing out to far let this **** go If you need a story watch the news!!

  • eholmes2000

Hola! Yeah, this story is pretty old. But the shocking part to ME is that I saw a segment on CNN last night and the host was outraged that this type of video was released and really upset at the media outlets that paid for an exclusive airing. I just sat there in disbelief....ARE WE SERIOUS PEOPLE?! The media had a FIELD DAY with the Anna Nicole story...Tapes of her under the influence were PLASTERED all over my TV at the time and NOW the media decides to have a conscience?! LOL! Ugh! How disappointing and predictable. I can't believe they even have the gall to be outraged considering the similarities in the two's untimely death...Who was in Anna's corner? Now their the saints?! LMAO. Either way, I do think the exploitation is horrendous and both families should have been allowed to grieve in privacy. But I'm really disappointed at all the hypocritical journalism. Not blogs but respected media outlets. Shame, shame, shame...okay...that's my two cents. HAVE A GOOD ONE! :)

  • aprilshowers

Omg... I can't believe it. I'm actually WITH STANdra on this one...

    Damn, I'm slippin'. lol

  • Poetry777

He wasn't shown doing drugs in the video.......please stop reporting that lie.....Thanks

  • http://www.trinityrivergroup.com LiseyC

Heath and Anna Nicole are worlds apart when it comes to comparisions of media coverage of their deaths. Anna Nicoles FAMILY put her business on blast trying to control her body and to find out who got control of her baby and the money from her lawsuit. Heath wasn't MK's boyfriend nor was he in the video doing anything. At this point it really doesn't matter. What does matter is that HEath's family and friends took a stand against the pervasive media interference and to stop false images or portrayal of his character as something other than an good actor and a doting father. Regardless if he died from a drug OD or natural causes, it does no one any good to drag his name through the mud with unsubstantiated claims when he is DEAD. Geez, Sandra, that was a harsh few paragraphs that you wrote and you put stuff in there that isn't true.

  • http://www.myspace.com/aaronmichaelofatm AaronMichael

I bet it's on YouTube...however none of this is relevant or important to me. RIP to everyone that has died already this year.

  • http://www.myspace.com/millyly milly

Yeah it would be nice for some people to have respect for the deceased. And also I have yet to see him snorting anything on that video SO.... Once again RIP Heath Ledger, and prayers go out the family.

  • pinkvirgo

Who gives a damn! Because he allegedly had a drug problem he deserved to die at such a young age. I'm sure some of your fave stars have done drugs. Why are you so upset that he has ppl that are sticking up for his good name. You do it on here all the time. Lord forbid someone say something about Tiny or Monica.

  • MZN

    TO MS. PEACHES,

Although, this is old news, Sandra's post is 100% on point. Our own people don't get this much coverage, but theirs do. It's their media, they do what they want with it. So, why should I feel bad.

Bottom line is, it's the truth. I am not saying anything different than what anyone else says. I am being straight forward. There is no need to sugarcoat anything.

He used drugs, he killed himself. So what?

    Oh well, life goes on...

  • aqtpie

I was going to say, I don't see blacks taking up/covering up for each other but, then I thought about it, we do have our FEW times. In passing is definitely one of the FEW times that it seems we say 85% of positive things about our black celebs vs negative things, so I'm sure blacks would've united too.

As far as Whitney and Michael of course it'd be prejudice if white media outlets didn't treat them in the same respect as Heath is alledged to be treated. It's however nothing wrong with a lot of major black media outlets and their commentors, talking negative about our black celebs while they are living and the minute they pass they are saying positive things and giving condolences. I mean we do get a pass for dogging our living black celebs because in passing we say nice, positive comments right? I mean that's not as bad as white media outlets seemingly showing blatant favoritism towards their own?

We don't have to worry about negative things said about our deceased black celebs on major black news outlets because we most definitely will say positive things about the deceased. Never mind the week before they were overexposed, couldn't act, couldn't sing, need to take a break, fake, has to wear make-up, has no talent, was a crook, did drugs, was irrelevant etc... because in the end we hook them up with positive comments after they are deceased. Looking at the bigger picture we have more than enough room to talk about how major white news outlets treat our black celebs seeing as we treat/uplift ours soooooooooo well, well in passing that is. (sp)

Note: This does not apply to all!!!!!

    R.I.P. Heath

  • OttovonBismarck

As a Roman Catholic I believe that in this case like others only Our Good Lord has the final word, and He will give the final judgement about each of us life in due time. “Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait till the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of men’s hearts. At that time each will receive his praise from God.” This is clearly speaking of judgment and salvation. We are not to judge the salvation of men, for this is the work of Christ. Consequently I find outrageous all the gossips about Heather Ledger, who has the right to judge Mr. Ledger? Nobody has. All this miserable and stingy gossip about his supposed use of cannabis two years ago or the despicable criticism for his role of a gay cowboy in Brokeback Mountain; by the way, what can anyone say about Collin Farrell playing the role of Alexander the Great and killing his best friend and lover? or Jude Law who acted as the perverse son of the Marquis of Queensberry who had seduced Oscar Wilde? There are hundreds of movies, which there leading roles were taken by well known actors and actresses which may scandalized some people, but they were acting. For Heath Ledger all what I have to say is “Sic transit Gloria mundi” “Thus passes the glory of the world”, his glory was over to soon. I had met him just unexpectedly at Washington Square, NYC, where he was playing chess with some elderly gentlemen. We were walking down the street with my cousin Eugenia and a friend of hers, she recognized him right away, she was quite excited about knowing him, he was extremely polite and gentle with both of us, this was few months ago. I found Heather after a five minutes chatting, just the opposite of the egocentric and narcissistic attitude of many Hollywood actors. Mr. Ledger was an extremely simple young man, with a deep glance coming from his eyes and soul; he had an enormous and quite generous heart. He was as well one of the finest actors of his generation, a serious and responsible one, I don’t care about those comments regarding his skills, that he was one more, I think that they are mistaken. I was quite touched by his words that having his daughter Matilda he does not need to live longer, because he can continue living through his daughter. I wish that he had found his dwell in heaven and please let his family mourn him in peace, he deserves such decent action.

  • eholmes2000

    @ LiseyC...

Not really though. Remember when she was found unconscious? The media frenzy basically began there. Paps outside the hotel waiting to snap a pic as well as videos all over the place of her under the influence. Then, they even went as far as to have pictures of the lady's fridge trying to prove how doped up she was. (as if it even came as a shock to any of us) Her fam did put her on blast BUT there were plenty of segments dedicated to her drug abuse and not the custody of her daughter or where her remains will lie. I personally don't think its right in any instance I was just amazed at how the media all of a sudden decided to have a conscience...

  • niastar

We ought to have more appreciation for the value of life. What if this was your loved one? Would you say, oh well, he used drugs, he killed himself...life goes on...NO YOU WOULD NOT. You would be grieving. No matter the manner in which he died, or the reasons that people are speculating which he died. This was someones father, someones loved one, someones son, brother, nephew. There is a gaping hole in the heart of those who loved this man. His friends, I mean come one!!!! Is is so ridiculous some of the things that you all are saying. This could happen to any one of us, ANY ONE, including YOU!!!!!

  • pinkvirgo

This is not a race thing this is a respect thing. He's dead let him rest in peace. Our society has gotten to the point where its just so hungry for gossip and dirt that its sad. I personally got so tired of hearing about Anna Nicole I wanted to gouge my own damn eyes and ears out.

  • eholmes2000

    Ain't that the truth!

  • starr

nothing liek that would happen if it was one of our own because we don't stick together.....end of story

The world would be a better place if we as human beings had compassion for each other whether African, Caucasian or Asian.
    RIP Heath.

  • aqtpie

    LOL @ Starr

  • sbabyface29

Anna Nicole was a female and she was considered white trash to A-list celebrities and other racist such as those in the media. (Although all those men would screw her when at home with the wifey, they call her a tramp. But they'd pay to ****). The A-list celebrities considered Heath one of their own, upper-echelon family, and let's not forget-he's a man. BLACK OR WHITE, MALE OR FEMALE, POOR OR RICH: THERE IS STILL A DIFFERENT SET OF RULES FOR CERTAIN PEOPLE!

No one should be treated like this, in death or in life. PERIOD.

  • sbabyface29

Also, Anna Nicole didn't have any real friends. None. You have to watch who you let in your circle. You can't trust everybody. Look at Tupac and Biggie's deaths. All the people (celebrities) talkin' 'bout they was friends with Tupac after the fact. They wasn't sayin' nothing when he was alive, cause he was too "controversial". Biggie had real friends there all the time. I loved them both.

  • MZN

    TO POETRY777:

You don't like my statement because it is straightforward. I don't understand why it is so ignorant. The man was clearly on drugs. He used drugs and he had to pay for it by dying. When you use drugs, you die. END OF STORY.

So, no. I don't feel sorry for him. If is was Whitney Houston, would the media be as compassionate? HELL NO!

You can't dwell on his death for weeks... my goodness! you have to move right along. So again I say, NEXT!!!

  • MZN

Half of damn Hollywood is on drugs!!!

  • liscious19

I don't know why the media is trying to make Heath seem like a goody-to-shoes. Whenever someone of color dies suddenly, they died from an apparent drug overdose. Examples of this are Ike turner, Gerald Levert, and Pimp C just to name a few.

  • pinkvirgo

@MZN death is not the price u paying for doing drugs. I know ppl who have been crackheads since the 80's and they are still here. I lost a dear friend of mine due to something that he could have prevented. Do u thin I grieved any less. No I did not b/c regardless of how he died he was dead and I will NEVER see him again. So if a fat person has diabetes or a heart attack and die thats the price they pay for eating too much.If a sexy dressed woman is attacked is that the price she pays for having her ass out. smh

  • MZN

    @ PINKVIRGO:

    pretty much...

  • MZN

When you abuse your body, there is a price to pay.

PINKVIRGO, you answered your own question. When you do drugs, you die. Those crackheads are still living now but they won't be around that long. When someone is overweight, or has diabetes, because they weren't taking care of themselves and died, that is the price they pay.

My aunt died from being overweight with diabetes. God rest her soul, but that was the price she paid. The doctors kept warning her but she didn't listen.

  • MZN

One more thing, If a woman has her behind out and she gets attacked, that is the price she pays. Don't have your a** out like a prostitue. Use common sense.

  • pinkvirgo

  • MZN

    Well pinkvirgo,

I try to keep my body healthy and all... you know? Not doing drugs, not overeating and having diabetes, and of course I won't walk around with my a s s out. So I strive to keep my own body as PERFECT as possible. I encourage anyone to do that.

  • ms.peaches

If I may say I feel sometimes we do take up for our own cause we know nobody else will, also i think I said before we have had a lot of black celebs that have died due to drug abuse we talk mad **** about them when there here like Whitney & Bobby but the minute they pass on we feel bad & sorry for them & there family's. Did anyone speculate how Pimp C died?? didn't they find perscription drugs in the room or in his system (something like that) Ike Turner, Rick James, Richard Pryor, Ol Dirty Bastard, the list goes on & as much respect as we may have had for R. Pryor we all know he had issues with drugs!! they may not have OD at the time of death but do you know if you taking drugs all your life that will tear you down just like it did Rick James!! we can't get mad cause Heath's friends want to come out & stand up for him or whatever that just means we need to start doing the same cause if they not getting locked up we will never hear about it!! When TI got locked up it was on every channel even Lil Wayne he made Fox 5 news but the minute 1 of these brothers pass will they get the same type of coverage????

  • OttovonBismarck

I find outrageous all the gossips about Heather Ledger, who has the right to judge Mr. Ledger? Only God knows, not you not me not anyone else in this world. All this miserable and stingy gossip about his supposed use of cannabis or cocaine two years ago is just empty words without any solid fundament, not any real fact regarding this matter. The despicable criticism for his role of a gay cowboy in Brokeback Mountain makes me seek and tire; by the way, what can anyone say about Collin Farrell playing the role of Alexander the Great and killing his best friend and lover? There are hundreds of movies, which their leading roles were taken by well-known actors and actresses, who may scandalize some people, but they were acting. Nobody knows how he died, there are many speculations, but until all the evidence is studied by the forensic experts, please don’t start jumping to your own conclusions and views, which are quite weak and discreditable for his family. I had met him just unexpectedly at Washington Square, NYC, where he was playing chess with some elderly gentlemen. MZN is an idiot-One more thing, If a woman has her behind out and she gets attacked, that is the price she pays. Don’t have your a** out like a prostitue. Use common sense.

How about whomever attacking that woman have the selfcontrol that all sane people display and not attacking someone just because they may be scantily clad. Not only are you advocating rape but suggesting that undredressed women and prostitutes deserve to get raped and attacked. OMG is this broad serious? What a self-righteous narrow-minded moron!! no wonder you feel so comfortable on Sandra's site
Well m'am I am a human being and posses something what we folk call "compassion", so no I dont think all drug addicts deserve to die unfortunately some people turn to drugs as a coping method we all have vices thiers is just obviuosly more consuming and destructive, but lets keep in mind MZN aka Lil' Nazi that these are people just like you and me who took a disaterous wrong turn -so I dont pass judgement
because in Gods eyes all sins are the same
Now to mizz Saundra I actually logged in to inform you that you are one Lame Dame initially I was like why would I waste my time doing that but after seeing that you have "loyal readers" that sound like Anne Coulter I couldnt take it . Yes black folks and white folks get different coverage, but how is mocking and exploiting Heath's death gonna rectify that situation? Didn't u just come at Bossip(gasp I said it!) for being crass and tasteless yet here you are (2 years later) with the same tasetless story mocking and exploiting of the mans death? Funny your tags say contaversy and I see what convtraversy you resort too in order to get some type of reaction. Your always out of the loop, your "sources" are wack , your jokes are lame, and you credit Perez Hilton with giving you the name "Beyowlf" talk about lopsided coverage how many blacks do you see on his site? and he degrades everyone except for your "golden child" Rihanna ! I'm sorry I cant take you seriously bad enough to be a sorry blogger but you can try a lil bit better to be on top of your shit!

I said, that when a woman has her behind out, and she gets attacked, that is the price she pays. I didn't mean she deserved it. It's just what happens. I am NOT in anyway advocating rape at all, the scantily clad woman is! She's calling for it! Use common sense, you can't walk out of your house these days half naked without a man grabbing you. Put some clothes on!!!

One more thing, you know how sandra is, if you don't like what she says, stop coming here! The more you come here, the more ratings she gets!

    Who's the idiot broad now?
