Q Tip endorses Obama and to that I say, so what?

Today I received several emails proclaiming rapper Q Tip is endorsing Senator Barack Obama for the democratic presidential nomination. That’s nice, but so what? Why is this news? Did anybody take note that Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger‘s wife Maria Shriver (another Kennedy) endorsed Obama?

Q Tip is a rapper. The last time I checked he didn’t even have an album out. Did somebody make Q Tip a community leader and I wasn’t informed about it?

Instead of worrying about who Q Tip (lol) is endorsing, everyone of us (well, except me because I’m not a citizen of this country) should be standing on line tomorrow to vote for the candidate of our choice. Who Q Tip endorses means nothing at all to me.

And, why should I care who the Kennedy’s are supporting? Because, they are suppose to be considered American royalty or someting? Should that impact my vote? And if it doesn’t matter who Q-tip is endorsing because he’s only a “rapper”, why does it matter who Oprah endorses? She’s only a talk show host, right? And, why does it matter who your supporting? Your just a blog host, right?

AGAIN- Stop knocking people down to make yourself feel big. Damn is it not enough that we find you entertaining? Can’t you be popular and positive?

Looking at Rihanna and what she has on is entertainment news (and I do believe SR is an entertainment blog) because we, well I, am being entertained by it.

To send press release emails saying that Q-tip is endoring Obama really isn’t news on a journalistic level or even on an entertainment level. Its like.. “oh okay…I guess.” I don’t think anyone was really holding their breath and wating on Q-Tip. I honestly think he’s piggybacking on the the whole Lupe Fiasco Consequence (Q-Tip’s cousin) debate over Hilary & Obama.

But anyway, I’m going to mass email people telling them that I am now officially endorsing…..

Voting is ALWAYS important and at a time like this- when we have an intelligent, more than capable African American running for President..History is already being made…but we’re not there yet and it’s far from over.

So…we need EVERYONE to be involved and no ONE person’s vote or endorsement is MORE important than the next. It is JUST AS important. The fact that Q-Tip has taken a stand for the candidate that he believes in is wonderful.

This is exactly what MLK fought for..equality. To be recognized as an equal when standing beside other races.

This is crazy! Rihanna wearing a pair of leggings is news, the Kennedy’s endorsing Obama is news, Stevie Wonder falling is news, Solange’s Myspace blog is news but a legendary rapper endorsing Obama isn’t. As many Monica and TI posts that are put up about absolutely nothing and considered news but this isn’t. When is the last time Monica put out an album that someone considered hot? (patiently waiting so she can school some of this chicks though) Or better yet Roc, I don’t know anyone who knows who he is. The Glen twins, I don’t know them. They are calendar girls. The lipstick alley dispute but Q-Tip is not news. Absurd but hey its your blog do you.

Wow, u guys could not have said it any better. Its funny how people post about nonsense, or ordinary daily life issues. But when it comes to a time when our nation needs a whake call, and we have a powerful man as Obama running for President, we can’t even get support on that from our own people. I don’t think I’ve seen anything political on this site that was outside of the U.S.. You’ve done nothing but express your opinion on the politics of a country in which you enjoy but don’t even have citizenship in….why don’t you give us your political views of the country that you’re legally allowed to vote in? You can talk all day about Hillary being racist, how white people in the govt. are trying to remind us of our position in this country, etc., etc….but Q-tip, unlike you, can actually take a stand and cast a vote. That’s the difference between Q-Tip and Sandra Rose.
