Star Jones finally comes to her senses
I know this is old news, but MSNBC is reporting it as new. Star Jones has been on her own for a minute now ever since she lost her TV gig. Her impending divorce from Al Reynolds isn’t about Star finding out that her man was creeping with other men - she already knew that.
You see, Star Jones is like those women who are insecure, who don’t feel complete unless they have a light skin boy with good hair on their arm to validate them.
Star Jones, like those other women, came to realize that she deserves so much more than just a piece of arm candy who is using her as a stepping stone to a better life. Now maybe she’ll find a real man who works hard and treats her like the queen that she is.

SURELY, Gay Al wasn’t used as arm candy? Is he cute? I just think he was the first man who didn’t turn away in disgust, so she ended up with him.
Al never validated her…he never could. His presence brought her down…way down! From the moment they got engaged she was a laughing stock. I personally think she may have been insecure about her weight at the time and simply hooked up with the first man that was nice to her. It’s just too bad that that first man was G.A.Y. and everyone (including her) knew it.
I hope she can move on and regain her reputation once this is all over.
it’s so sad the state we are in as women. when we’ve come to the point that we accept anybody just to say we have a man. ladies be okay with being with you. you can do bad by yourself. but, we want others to look at us like we have it going on..(the man), the house, the car. many of us are living a lie. never telling the story that you help buy him the car, that you pay the entire mortgage on your own, and he moved in with you in your house. ladies lets get it together. stick to your morals and values that you were raised with. don’t continue to live the lie.
I believe Star made it obvious that she was more in love with the idea of a wedding instead of the actual marriage. Her wedding was a BIG event which included its very own website where us regular people could buy her gifts off her registry. I doubt they even ever had sex. She just wanted to walk down the aisle and have a picture of herself at an alter in a white dress.

Didn’t she learn anything from Terry McMillan. Terry has a constant/permanent “salt” look on her face now.
I know women are born equipped with a “gaydar” embedded in their soul aka “women’s intuition or gut feeling”, whether they chose to turn it on or not is a different story.

Star lived with a white man for years before all she had several boyfriends when she was a large woman…like i said size has nothing to do withit.
She has dated men of “good” stock before. She might have heard the ticks of her biological clock, but I don’t think she was desperated. She does, however, seems in love with the idea of being in love, this may account for her decision to hook up with Al.

Please no matter how much independent woman BS Star spews, she didn’t feel complete without being married, so she got desperate and married the first thing with a penis she could find who would agree to her. She played herself further with that circus of a wedding and then always vacationing with Jaci and Morris, when it seems to me that Mr. Reid and Al preferred playing on the other team.

Love isn’t for suckers, it’s just that we have to have patience it takes to find worthwhile love.
Some of us rush for different reasons. Everything from being afraid to be alone, to being horny to wanting help with the bills. It might be a fact that we don’t belong in a relationship until we can love (or at least) like ourselves.
As some already stated, there is nothing wrong with being by yourself…until the right mate comes along. We are too busy settling for less, though.

I don’t feel sorry for Star. She got what she wanted out of this deal; a top of the line wedding damn near free. Of course it wasn’t totally free, since it cost her a lucrative job. Some ppl are in love with the idea of being in love, while others want the wedding day. The ceremony the dress the family there the rock/ring. A committed marriage/realionship takes work. Just goes to show that someone with less bills or less kids or more material things does not guarantee anything. (only because I am watching it right now take “Good Times” for instance. 3 kids to feed living pay check to pay check. James did not want his wife to work, he never cheated and they stayed together and worked through the hard times.
Sorry, I got off topic alitte. I thought Star was much more prettier and less annoying when she was heavier and she was not hurting in the male companion department. Maybe she thought she was getting an equal by marrying Al. Wasn’t he a lawyer? I never thought she got married because her biological clock was ticking. She does not seem like the maternal type to me. I didn’t think she even liked dogs until I saw a segment on “The View where they were show casing dogs and she ended up picking out the most girly dog that Al happened too fall in love with. A real man does not quit his job after marriage. Just glad that Star can swallow her pride and realize what you see is not always what you get. Because there are no kids involved can she file for an annulment for “fraud”? And in the eyes of the law it’s as though the marriage never happened.

i wanted to believe that the rumors about Al were false. the media always talks and is negative and each has to live her or his own life in this crazy world.
