Premiere Event: Dem Franchize Boyz Listening Party at New Era Store, 3/20

Dem Franchize Boyz scored major hits with the singles “White Tee’s,” “Oh, I Think They Like Me,” and “Lean Wit It, Rock Wit It.” But the Bankhead crew outgrew their contract at So So Def and signed a deal with Capital Records instead.
Now they are back to prove their success wasn’t a fluke with their sophomore album Da Point of No Return, which drops March 25. Last night the rap group held a listening party for Atlanta retailers and industry veeps at the New Era Flagship store - and my photographer Freddy O was there to capture all the excitement.
The New Era Atlanta Flagship store is located at 117 Luckie Street and has become home to collaborations, ATL exclusives, and crossover caps that promise to make fashionistas of all sorts salivate.

If someone asked me to point these guys out I could not do it Im sorry I have seen there videos before but they just don’t stand out to me & not that it’s a bad thing but If sandra had not have said that was them in that pic I would not have known it!! So they outgrew there contract at So So Def huh? wow is that how they sugar coat things these days??

i wonder if capitol bought them outta their contract, JD released them, or if he’s still paid off of them “a la puffy”…

ive never really been into them or their music, they just didnt stand out but wish them luck on the album!
Good luck to these guys man. They take so much heat from hip hop “purists” (whatever the hell that is) and are often lumped with D4L as representative of the garbage coming out of Atlanta. The fact is these guys have had three huge hits from one album. You got to give credit where credit is due. I like them.

Ha Ha ha - yeah, I did hear about people hating on DFB and lumping them in with D4L as “what’s wrong with the rap industry.” But you can’t front - EVERYONE got on the floor when “Lean Wit It, Rock Wit It” came on. Even here in NYC - you would have thought it was ATL up in the club. Not only that, I hear Shawty Lo pumping out of all kinds of cars & trucks up here (as well as Lil’ Wayne, Webbie, Jeezy and any number of other “Southern” artists).
BTW - “Talkin’ Out Da Side of Ya Neck” is an OK song…I’m cool with it.
