Fantasia Reveals Medical Scare
According to SOHH Ya Heard, Fantasia broke down on stage during an appearance at a private event over the weekend and was unable to go on.
Fantasia, who was photographed leaving a Beverly Hills doctor’s office (above) recently, confessed that she was diagnosed with polyps on her vocal cords.
Fantasia was very emotional as she spoke to industry veterans at The 4th Annual Agape Gospel Theater & Film Awards. She said she had the tumors surgically removed two weeks ago. It isn’t clear if the growths were determined to be cancerous.
But a source close to Fantasia who spoke to Sandrarose.com today on condition of anonymity, said emphatically, “She doesn’t have cancer.”

glad to know she’s ok. cancer is a scary thing and i can’t even pretend to know how fantasia felt at that moment .
I have the same exact thing. My voice is on a Fantasia/Marge Simpson level. What happens is, you have a polyp on your vocal cord, that causes the vocal cords not to close properly, giving you the raspiness that Fantasia has.
I asked my ENT what causes it, his response: “Talking too much”. All I could do was laugh, b/c I can talk somebody under the table. Ya’ heard.
But I can relate to Fantasia b/c her voice is her gift. Thats the same with me. Although I am no singer, I volunteer at a youth shelter for troubled teens. And all I do is run my mouth to them! When I found out, I said “Almighty don’t take my gift away”. Tay-Tay I feel you.
Isn’t this common among singers? It seems like a few of the more stronger vocalists have suffered from this condition. Anyway, I’m glad they’re not cancerous.

On Fantasia’s website someone who knows her said that she developed this condition during The Color Purple it really put alot on her voice 8 shows a week.
I’m not a fan, but I’m glad she’s gonna be ok. That’s got to be a scary situation for anyone.
Thank God the growth wasn’t cancerous. Tasia baby take some time off and let your voice rest. I know that you’ve been doing a lot of running around lately, doing appearances, recording new tracks, and enjoying being in love, but it’s time to take a sit down. It’s no point in acquiring all of this success and not being healthy enough to enjoy it.

Her outfit actually isn’t that bad the tats are really what kill it.I don’t think it compliments her shape thet well however I’m glad she’s ok,I like her she seems truly genuine.
Ok I am glad she is ok, but on the real she needs to do something about those feet they don’t look to hot.
I’m sure her voice will be better than ever now.
I hope that she makes it through this ok!! her voice is really strong to me, glad that she caught the problem early, Im sure her boo was by her side or will be through all of this!!

I feel bad for her. But she’ll recover.
I don’t mind her outfit, I like that she’s covered up, but those tatts are HORRIBLE! Not a good look Fanny!

Bumps on her chest, rainbow toenails. Christ! She needs to get some beauty tips form Oprah! You don’t have to be the best looking woman in the world, but you don’t have to accentuate your ugliness either!
I will pray for Fantasia. She is an excellent singer. I’ve watched her since she was a contestant on Amerian Idol. God will take care of her.
