The blog owner of CL has fired popular openly gay blogger B. Scott according to a video posted on his blog. As I wrote earlier, the blog owner is sadly out of touch with her readers. She miscalculated the response that her hiring an openly gay blogger would cause.
The hateful comments on CL caused readers to quote scriptures and sprinkle Holy water in the threads. According to B. Scott, a large portion of the black community is homophobic. “There’s nothing wrong with being gay. God made me this way. I relish it… if you’re homophobic, you’re stupid and you’re ignorant” he said.

That kind of says alot about Angel, in my opinion. With blogs, people have the option to bypass a post if it isn’t in their interest. That’s the beauty of it, if you don’t like something, ignore it. The fact that she would fire B. Scott kinda of makes me loose a little bit of respect for CL. Angel needs to stand her ground on whatever made her decide to give B. Scott a forum on her blog in the first place. You can’t please everyone all of the time and if some of the readers were upset that once a week, B. Scott was being posted, they needed to just not play the video. For every one person that didn’t like him, I’m sure there are 5 more that did. He didn’t become as popular as he is by folks NOT liking him. When one door closes, another opens up. I’m sure this won’t stop his shine!!!!!

I agree with him. I could do without the hair flipping. However the black community is out of touch with reality when it comes to their own gay people of color. Instead of trying to pray and pretend they don’t exist join hands and see how we can all help one another. AIDS is running rampant in our community and its not just from the gay population its among women. Each one can teach one. Some of them could/do make great teachers, mentors, counselors, fashion designers, hair stylist, and makeup artist(I know you guys have seen a man in drag. Chile’ that ish right there is art!!!)But hey I guess there are some of us who will let them do our hair and style us but we don’t want to acknowledge or give them credit where credit is do. Gay people are everywhere, they are teachers, doctors, lawyers, financial advisors, CEO’s and, so on and so forth. No and I likely wont but at the same time however a person chooses to live their life is between them and the god they worship. I have nothing to do with that nor do I care to.

All I have to say is WOW…. I can’t beleive that ppl are still this ignorant towards anyone that is different. I was turned on to B.Scott by Ms. Rose and I like him. He is real and in touch with the Lord. He is MORE in touch with the Lord then some of these ’straight’ ppl. I don’t know what was said between angel and b.scott…so I’m not going to speak on what was decided. I DO KNOW…that B. Scott is real, he isn’t going to change, and its not up to ANYONE to judge him. “If” he is dismissed because of who he is, and her losing readers then a reality check needs to be issued…she is a black woman…everytime someone calls her fat and black, is she going to stop doing her??? My jaw is on the floor right now. I never would have guessed that some of my favorite, level headed, intelligent fellow Sandra Rose bloggers would be making homophobic comments. I’m not judging anyone, we all have our own views, but it’s shocking. I have learned something new today.
I LOVE Miss B. He’s intelligent, spiritual, funny as hell and absolutely gorgeous. Him being on CL is a gift to them. B. doesn’t need CL. His own blog is starting to take off and his YouTube videos have been the talk of the net for a while. I’m looking for B. to become a famous something; talk show host, radio show host, reality star, whatever. He’s cuter, funnier and more entertaining than Perez.
When I heard this happened all I could do was pray that B. was not hurt by the intolerance displayed on the blog. I don’t visit the site so I don’t know what kind of readers it has, but judging by the comments of people on this site who are clearly intelligent, the type of visitors wouldn’t really matter. Some people honestly feel that gay people should be chastised and looked down upon for the way they were born.

From emails I have received from her, the blog owner is not very mature. Her response to a perceived threat is always extra and over the top. She caters to a certain audience that caters to her. There’s nothing but ass kissers over there. At least my readers tell me about myself. But I don’t think she can handle the truth about herself.

I’m tempted to say that this is not the story of most of the black women who make up the 50%+ of new HIV cases, I doubt that a good number of them are unsuspecting wives of gay men. I think we (i.e. black women) need to do a better job of truly putting ourselves first, not just talking the talk. In any case I think I know where you’re coming from but at least we agree that black women need to do better for ourselves.

For me a gay blog is a blog that caters to a mostly gay audience. You should expect to see mostly gay-oriented content on a gay blog, like Clay Cane’s blog, for instance.

For the comment on the “DL people”: I don’t think it is fair that you should have to wear a condom with your HUSBAND who you believe is being faithful. He shouldn’t be cheating on you with anyone; man, woman, child, or anything. Suppose you had dreams of starting a family. Can’t do that with a condom. People should be honest with one another.
Most black men don’t like wearing condoms to begin with. To me that makes them a bunch of stupid nasty mofo’s. On top of that, they don’t like going to the doctor. Why not use condoms with them when you know you don’t use condoms @ home? I just wish that everyone can have the same views.
If you are gay and actually think it is okay biblically then that is your thing. if someone doesn’t like it, that doesn’t make them homophobic.
Get over it, if you choose to live your life a certain way deal with what comes with it! Most of my family, and friends don’t like my husband! Given the fact the=at he is MINE and I chose him…I could give a flying fluck!

I think B. Scott was a little too much. On a biblical stand point, a gay life style is a sin and I truly believe that we should not be confusing our children. We have enough going on with the HIV/AIDS running rampant. Why do we need to openly throw in everyones face your fruity lifestyle? I think the owner of CL made the right choice. There are certains things you just don’t advise. As she learned the hard way, she obviously did not know here readers that well or she would have never started posting his blogs.
Wow, the year 2008 and some black folks are kicking gays. Some are using the bible as the reason for it. Fruity? Really? Sick practices? Some are saying *they nasty* and they too much, that from a gay man, just wow. I love that we have freedom to speak our minds today as I need to be aware of where the hatred is and who has it. I could no more hate someone for who they love than I could hate someone for the color of their hair, eyes or skin. I was raised that way. By southern -bred baptist parents, who said, be loving in the world. Do not hate God’s creations.

Anyhoo…please point out in the sentence that you read underneath your post stating “Krysi same one says:” where i implied that you were a homosexual. Honey, It doesn’t matter what you are, if you need a blog anywhere on the NET not to mention one posted by a HOMOSEXUAL to help you ACCEPT who you are….then you are obviously in desperate need to do so, and i should hope, for your sake, that you are not a female looking for advice from such a resource.
I spent a good 10 years working in beauty salons with openly gay men, and I’ll be honest - all that damn flaming worked my last nerve, and I now know more about gay sexual practices than I ever wanted to. But I met one of the sweetest, kind-hearted guys I’ve ever known in that environment. His name is Lewis, a fellow hairstylist, and he is/was HIV-positive (haven’t talked to him in a minute- hope he’s good). Re: B.Scott - I didn’t look at his posts on CL because I know how I respond to men who carry themselves in an overly-feminine manner - the same way I responded to Lew’s buddies at the shop. I wasn’t offended, but you can believe I was just SMH - ‘cuz I hurt for them in my heart. I’m still shakin’ my head, but I realize gay men have the right to be who they choose to be - just like straight men do.
