Janet Jackson and Jermaine Dupri attend Kids Choice Awards

Well, all those rumors of a possible break up between Janet Jackson and her music mogul boyfriend Jermaine “JD” Dupri have been put to rest - again. Without a doubt, Janet loves her man. Janet makes it perfectly clear that she is comfortable with JD being in charge of every aspect of her life, and she’s not going anywhere anytime soon!
Jermaine and his daughter Shaniah sat in the audience while Janet presented an award at the 2008 Kids Choice Awards at UCLA on Saturday (3/29).
In this video posted on JD’s YouTube channel, Janet tells her fans that she is still recovering from a severe case of bronchitis with a touch of pneumonia.
“I feel a lot better,” JJ tells the camera as JD directs the video. “I was very ill… for three weeks. I was on all kinds of [medicine].”
The video also offers us the first glimpse into the relationship Janet has with JD’s daughter Shaniah. It’s a cute moment with Janet urging Shaniah to bust a move for the camera. Shaniah politely declined. Oddly enough, Shaniah appeared to be shy around Janet - observing her from across the room as if she was meeting the legend for the first time.
If you recall, Shaniah’s mother, Pam Sweat, told my readers in an exclusive email that she had never met Janet personally, but that Janet treated Shaniah “very well.”

I hadn’t heard they broke up. I’m glad to see Miss Janet feeling better. Her and Jermaine are so cute. Lil Miss Shaniah didn’t seem in awe to me. She was chillin with her little cute self.

Glad janet is feeling better. I think her and pam should meet since she is around her child, but it is great that they treat her with love thats all that matters!!!

I dont think Shaniah was acting shy with Jan, it appears she was acting shy in front of the camera. Jan has been dating JD now going on for about 8years; if that is truly the case Jan have been apart of her life since she was a baby. I think I read somewhere she was 9 years old, that’s basically her entire life. LOL.
If she want to be in the business she has the BEST teacher in the INDUSTRY, right at her finger tips.
