Oprah’s always starting some mess. Is Oprah turning her flock away from God and Jesus? Oprah is using her considerable influence to make others aware that there are hundreds of religions in the world and no one God is superior over any other religion’s God. She has started an online class based on the teachings in a new book titled Eckhart Tolle’s A New Earth.
Oprah teaches that God is a “feeling experience” and not a “believing experiencing.” I don’t know what that means. You either believe or you don’t, right?

if you think that christianity is the only path, well, that’s just silly. what if you were born in somalia or jodan or india and never met a christian in your life? face it, most people follow the religion of their parents. mom’s christian, you probably will be too. born in a muslim country with a muslim family, surprise, surprise, you will be a muslim.

She did a show a long time ago about religion. You can go to GODtube.com and see it. I am a God fearing woman and Oprah really made me question her beliefs when I saw the video. Something is just not right about her beliefs. But, I’m not really going to judge her, she can take that up with HIM when that time comes.

Religion is a touchy subject for a lot of people. I can’t believe Oprah went there. I feel that I am more spiritual than religious and I can’t stand it when people try to push their religious beliefs on me. I definitely believe in “to each his own” on this subject.

what is tolle? the new age type of anti-Christ? to not completly abolish God and be so obvious but to discretly have people forget about God and use their feeling moreso to achieve this self salvation he speaks of? he is sneaky. and he comes at the right time to decieve many in the way the world is today. this world is so confused and lost and lonely and everyone wants an easy answer. and oprah…dang. oh well. yes all can believe or “feel” as they wish but the truth is the truth.

I personally believe that the only way to heaven in through Jesus but I respect everyones Religion and their right to choose b/c it is not position to judge anyone.
Satan is also a god a god of this system of things. If she does not believe that there is one true God then that is on her but don’t try to push this foolishness on others. I tell you if you don’t stand for something you will fall for anything.

Look what’s happening in the world today..Most wars are reliogion based cos everyone thinks they are right and anyone who doesn’t subscribe to their beliefs is wrong. C’mon people! Oprah does not worship satan, nor does she ask anyone to do so. The Bible says in Galatians 3:28, There is neither Jew nor Greek, neither slave nor free, neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
We are ALL one. Insisting that someone say their prayers the way you say yours, is not only silly; it is not in keeping with the teachings of Christ. As Kenyanhottie, pinkvirgo, and maema noted: there are many paths, and ours is not to judge.
I actually have the book and it is very interesting. I didn’t know it was on her book club when I initially purchase it. I am at a point in my life when I am trying to find my own way and also surround myself with positive energy. It’s a very positive book and a must read. IMO
I don’t think you can just say religion is based purely on parents or environment. Yes you maybe exposed at an earlier age. but to accpet Christ is a personal decision. Many have come to know the Savior who weren’t brought up in a Christian household.

I know what u mean toosexy I used to go to a board theat is predominately Black and they were doing the same thing.I was really shocked b/c I didn’t that were that many Black ppl that didn’t believe God.I guess its just the times we are living in b/c back in the day Black didn’t have much but they had faith.

I am not a big fan of Oprah but i like that she is branching out…I dont see what the big deal is, this wouldn’t be an issue if she was shouting JESUS and saying she was a Christian.
my 2 cents: I for one can tell you that it doesn’t matter what religion your parents have. I grew up in a household where my mom’s a Jehovah’s Witness and my father’s a baptist. So I was exposed to both. I don’t get into the religion thing because I personally believe that religion is something that is manmade. I do however, believe that there is only one True God and we must worship Him with spirit and truth. When you start talking about all the different religions out there, who is to say which one is right and which one is wrong. Because everybody thinks theirs is right. I just stick to my bible and try to do what it says and live by the principles found in it. I’m neither Baptist, Jehovah’s Witness, Catholic, or Mormon. Those are organized religions to me. I just try to be the best Christian I can be.

Oprah needs to get laid. She’s too busy being everywhere and the Queen of the World because she really has no personal life. No one to snuggle with, get nekkid with. OK, so that describes many of us which just shows that money isn’t everything.
I wonder if you HAD to choose between having Oprah’s lonely life and mega-riches and an ordinary life that included lots of intimacy with people that love you which would you choose?
Remember, Oprah doesn’t have a loving mother or father (he was going to write a tell-all book about her until she lowered the hammer). All she has is Gail and Gail has a bunch of kids (I think 3), a mother who was stay at home, and HAD a husband who loved her until he couldn’t take Oprah constantly being in their lives.
Jehovah God requires that you worship in the way that he requires not the way humans see fit. In most cause when they feel it will benefit them. The time will come when everyone will see that there is only one true God. By then it will be too late for those who choose to disobey his principles and guidelines. The earth did not just happen.
People are being blinded by satan the god of this system of things and dont even know it.

Oh boy…….I will have to pray for Oprah……she is really walking dangerous ground now………As one of the bloggers stated, the truth is the truth…….There is only one GOD and he is real and powerful, HE is the one who allows us to wake up each morning and gives us every breath we take…..I pray that the LORD will send someone in her life that will draw her to HIM, so that she can know the truth which is the LORD’s Word (Bible).

I believe that in the entertainment industry money is the root of power and evil that goes beyond GOD. They glorify flesh and things that build them up in the world. But when people get besides themself because they’ve heard too many good things they turn into an idol. Praise and acknowledgement to just keep the madness going, it’s overboard.
Oprah has masked her shady views with speeches, doctors, experts, belive in yourself and that HIGHER POWER more than just giving God credit. So it’s “The Gospel According to Oprah” nowadays. I can’t watch her anymore. IF YOU DON’T STAND FOR SOMETHING, YOU WILL FALL FOR ANYTHING. A book club list and decorating homes is not about to make her my favorite person in the world. I think I will stick with Jesus, he’s the homie.

First-I was wondering if the end of this video was in some way suggesting Obama is part of an occult belief system because Oprah endorsed him. Are they saying he might be evil or even the Antichrist? It doesn’t seem as if anyone has addressed that in their commentary….
Secondly–I don’t think that the book (which I have read) is asking anyone to change their religion or the God that they believe in. I think the book’s main focus is a spiritual one not religious and the argument is being made that we are spiritual beings with much greater potential than we aspire to achieve. Tolle speaks about people being wrapped up in consumerism (buying things to make themselves feel better and never being satisfied in life or with their present circumstances). He addresses negative belief systems that people hold about themselves due to past experiences that keep them from being happy or feeling fufilled. I don’t think any of these ideals are problematic for me as a Christian.
Third—I don’t consider Oprah to be a prophet or myself to be a member of her “church”. The last time I checked I belong to a non-denominational Chrisitian Church. Personally I think you should be able to consider other points of view without feeling threatend about your own belief system.
I believe a group of “CHRISTIANS” always pop up with new theories on who is and what is influencing people just about every 3 to 5 years (remember the TeleTubby with the purse). They want to maintain control over people. That’s why all this stuff sounds like propaganda. There are certain religious groups that will always want to CONTROL.
I don’t agree with OPRAH and honestly I think some of these new age people are conning her.
There is a constant battle for your mind every day thru television, religion, advertisements, big business, government, co-workers, family, etc. What will you believe in today i.e. what will you spend your money on? How can I influence you to do what I want you to do? I spend hours a day shifting thru what OTHERS talk about. I take what I need, I leave what I don’t.

Many people just believe in a certain religion without doing their research, Christianity (as well as other religions) have always been use to control the masses, they used scare tactics (DONT DO THIS OR YOU GO TO HELL) to get you to do what THEY want you to do..Everyone is trying to fight to prove that their beliefs are truer than the other and i think people have lost focus. Oh, and about OBAMA, i know many people only started getting into him because of OPRAH endorsing him…thats stupid because Oprah doesnt truly care who is in office..She hasnt voted since 1988 and nothing thats going on in our economy directly effects her…shes the richest woman in the world..Also, no matter who you vote for, Obama, Clinton, Mccain they are all running the same game and on the same team.
