a baby is never too young to have their own cell phone! On Monday, model Heidi Klum, 34, spent the day at the park with her children Leni, 3 ½, Henry, 2, and Johan, 16 months. Dad is hunky singer Seal.

Actress Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon, 41, covers JET magazine with her fraternal twin sons, Jaid Thomas (l) and Jax Joseph (r), 5 months. The twins got ALL their genes from dad Michael Nilon. This photo makes an excellent case for those who insist on calling biracial children black.

Are we going to remain slaves to America's archaic way of thinking on race? If America says they're purple should we go along with that? Shouldn't we denounce the centuries old racist rule and give these children their own identity?

Actress Angelina Jolie, 32, with daughter Zahara Marley, 3, going toy shopping in Sunset Valley, TX on Wednesday.

Actress Jodie Foster, 45, spent Easter Sunday at the beach with sons Charles, 9 ½, and Kit, 6, in Maui, Hawaii.

Golden Globe award winner Angela Bassett, 49, was joined by husband, actor Courtney B. Vance, 48, and their 2-year-old twins Slater Josiah and Bronwyn Golden as she received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame today in Hollywood, CA. Angela looks great for 49!

  • Krysi – yes the same one

Angela does look great for 49!

and Sandra that cell phone probably doesn't even work, you know how we give kids stuff to play with so they don't give us a hard time in public.

  • Terry .W

Garcelle Beauvais-Nilons babies are going to change as time goes on...Its too early to tell who they will look like even though for now, they favor their father - cmon now!

  • ms.peaches

I love Angela Basset, I think it's cute for you to show the celebs with there kids it would be even cuter if the whole family was pictured but you know us moms are always out & about with the kids(lol) Garcelle's twins really must have to look like there father cause when I first saw a picture of all of them father included I just thought they were his even though I knew she had just had twins so Sandra your right about all biracial kids being or looking black, to this day I still don't know Mariah's nationality(lol)

  • Tmekio

I hope some of these kids look BETTER as they get OLDER...

  • ms.peaches

^^ Not being or looking black(my mistake)

  • Bird

If a person looks black I call them black. That's the bottom line on that. On job documents and census forms they are more than welcome to call themselves biracial. I'm talking about what I see. Garcelle's babies are light skinned. Almost all babies are lighter at birth than they will eventually become. Even with white babies, many have blond hair until they get their real hair color. There was a contestant on ANTM who, like Rasheeda Jones, was biracial but looked white. I call her white. It goes both ways.

  • 2thick4u

    Angela looks good for 49!!!

    Their twins are so cute.

Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon also looks good for being over 40!! Her kids are to juicy!!

  • JustSaying

I believe if you have any black in you, you are black. But for me they can call themselves what they want. Who gives a crap.

  • Smokie

Are those Angela and Courtney's biological children?

Garcelle's babies will change, somewhat, in time.

  • candi got gushy

Those babies are hella white. With technology as it is and Garcelle being over 40 they can give her eggs from another woman and implant them in her, or use any other combination of factors, those babies hair should atleast be a little curly or they should have some more color to them. Garcelle is a brown skin woman and no-way should his genes have taken over that much. Those babies hues are what is expected from Halle Berry and her white man Not from an almost chocolate toned black woman. IM JUST SAYIN

  • keke72

All of those babies are cute and I just want to squeeze Garcelle's babies cheeks.I am so happy for Angela getting her is very much deserved!

  • shunda

    @ Bird

You are crazy lol. I took my son who happens to be light skinned to the doctor yesterday and the receptionist asked me if he was hispanic. I said no and he said are you sure. People are crazy when it comes to race. Just call me by my name. If I am African-American what do you call the white person that moves to the US from Africa?

  • kpakpando

All these beautiful babies. I'm glad some of these commentators are not geneticists, otherwise we'd have some seriously flawed data.

  • Oracle

My coworker and I had a discussion about race also and about Mariah and Nicole Richie considering themselves black. How the discussion started is that he made that old statement, "If you got a little black in ya, well you black." I dont agree. There nothing wrong with Mariah saying she's white, because she looks it to me and same the same for Nicole, but I dont what's her race. There alot white people got white in them and dont look it and it would be absolutely STUPID for them to say there black.

Black people just want people to be on there team. There's nothing wrong with people claiming there white if it obvious. But in the case of Tiger Woods, he makes himself look kinda stupid. But whatever makes him feels good.

  • chi-girl

omg @ Shunda I feel you, I say I'm not african american all the time because A. I wasn't born in africa neither was my mother, grandma, or great-grandma...therefore I am just an American, now Charlize Theron is African American because she was born in Africa and lives in America and I know people are gonna say well your ancestors are from do you know that, what if they are from the Bahamas? so I think people really need to get it together when it comes to the race issue!! (I KNOW I GOT OFF TRACK BUT I HAD TO LET IT BE KNOWN) LOL

  • missy

@ shunda i was thinking that same thing cause people in Africa are white and black.

Anyway just because those twins are white doesn't mean they didn't get pregnant the natural way. When me and my twin sister were born we were near white(my mom is mixed). Its all about your genes and his is stronger than hers so what they look cute and they are probably going to get a little darker as they get older .

(why are so many people having twins ? )

  • chi-girl

  • chi-girl

  • SnootyPooty1

I think its crazy that people who are not mixed want to tell me what I should call myself. My dad is white and my mom is black. I will be whatever I choose to be. By society standards if you have a certain percentage of black in you your considered black any way.

If you did not grow up bi-racial then dont comment on it. Some of us had it harder than blacks who are not mixed. even though alot of blacks are mixed with something.

  • shunda

    @missy and chi-girl

I was watching College Hill Atlanta and they were having the African American conversation and the girl from Africa got upset because I believe it was one of the Ashley's said she was not African American. I know plenty of foreign exchange students that come to the US from Africa and do not understand how we are African Americans.

  • pinkvirgo

I consider myself to be African American m ancestors are from Africa b/c the birth of civilization started in AfricA 9remember Lucy)So regardless if some of my ancestors ome from the Bahamas at some point at sometime they came from Africa.I never Italian Americans or Mexican Americans say I'm not from Mexico or Italy I've never been there. I seriously believe Black ppl are ashamed to be from Africa b/c of how Africa is portrayed and it's damn shame. It's bad enough we los most of our heritage, we don't have a language(and ebonics is not a language ppl)

  • kpakpando

uhmm chi-girl I don't know how to break it to you... if your ancestors came from Bahamas or something and they're black, their ancestors came from Africa.

Charlize Theron is South African born of French & German descent, she was just born there and has citizenship, that's not where she's from i.e. her roots lie.

  • pinkvirgo

But I don't care if you wanna call yourself a martia. This is America and u can thats the great thing about it.

  • kpakpando

I don't know why any black American/black Caribbean/black South-American etc. would be ashamed of Africa... It is a beautiful continent, with rich culture.

  • brwnsugga4you

all the kids are cute!...Angela's children are adopted. If my memory serves me they had a surrogate. don't quote me.

  • missy

I'm not an American (i'm from the Bahamas)so i don't have that problem but pinkvirgo i agree with you the world was one big place and we all could have ancestors all over the place and if you read the bible majority of the places are in Africa so if we are related to Adam(mankind) and Eve(womankind) then we all are from Africa so are white people. So honestly these titles don't even matter at the end of the day because we were made from ashes and to the dust we all shall return.

(why are caucasians called Americans when some of their people are from Italy and France etc... )

  • Bird

    shunda Says:

If I am African-American what do you call the white person that moves to the US from Africa?

    I agree. I'm black.

  • HunE916

I’m weak that you turned the comments off for Celebrity Seed: Lil’ Rocko the Don, but left them on on these celeb seeds. LMBAO!

You’re talking about Rocko and his kids like they are famous. Rocko ain’t nobody (excuse the Ebonics)! So that means for sure his kids aren’t!

Maybe one day he will be as famous as Diddy (ooo, I know you cringed at that) and maybe THEN we’ll care about him or his kids (like we love those adorable twins).

But until then, get off of Rocko’s jock and ‘Do you’, Sandra!

[Note: I had to repost this in here! lol]

anyway race is a fake concept if anyone has every studied Anthropology, basically we classify people based on their physical features and not their genetic background, did you know that there are Australians with dark dark brown skin, bigger noses, but blonde hair? BASICALLY AMERICA DOESNT WANT TO SHOW THAT SO WE ALL THINK AUSIES HAVE WHITE PHYSICAL FEATURES, but thats not true!

Look at Gisele , she's Brazilian, but not all Brazilians are claro like that (light or fair), think about it there were African slaves in Brazil so there is a large population of Afro Brazilians but the media does not show you that, they make you think all Brazilians are either claro or mulatto and even the title moreno is sometimes referred to dark hair and dark eyes and a tan but not neccessarily black....

  • missy

What i find so hilarious is that a innocent post about children turns around into a race issue so quickly . This world is in for a rude awakening because these children will have to face people who will judge them and criticize them when they find out that there parents are of different races and they look nothing like there mother or vice versa i know the world will never get past the skin color but we can all just try and be a little more educated about things before we judge.

thats my five cents(and a little something extra)

  • ms.peaches

It's amazing, then again it's not cause I knew by the 4th or 5th comment the whole topic would turn into race & of course it's nothing wrong with that but we are trying to determine heritage & ancestory & everything else(lol) of not only ourselves but the celebs & there kids!! like I said earlier I still don't know Mariah's full nationality I guess it's not all that important to me we all consider her black but does she really look it, Hell Teena Marie what is her nationality girlfriend has the voice of a sister but can pass for white, I know she is not 100% white thats why Im asking!! I never knew Maxwell was half Latino until they had an article about biracial singers & actors!! I guess the point is you never know what someone is mixed with!!

  • SnootyPooty1

@ The people you are talking about in Australia are Aborigines.
When I went to Australia I saw a few of them and they treat them pretty bad. They are isolated some by choice others not so much.

    I really enjoyed cultural anthropology?

  • pinkvirgo

I think Teena Marie 100% white.

  • aqtpie

All the kiddies are cute including Rocko's on the closed comment post.

  • Coo Coo Bananas

Ya'll know there's a differnce btwn race & nationality right?

  • hellava10

    The kids are cute.

  • claire

  • brenden

I don't care what folks call themselves either, but when you say I'm not from Africa therefore I'm not an African...I'm just American it does sort of seem like some one trying to denounce who/what they are. Now if you say Black American then cool, but there are folks who don't even like that title. Why cant I just be an American? Why do I have to be a Black American,,,,Well why can't I just be a billionaire? Why do I have to take my ass to work every Because it is what it is. I'm just saying. Especially when it seems we are the only ones who have this argument. I know plenty of Mexican men and women who were born in the U.S. but have no problem with the term Mexican. Same goes with the Armenians I know, The Koreans I know etc. Yet its us who want to holler I wasn't born in Africa....hey whatever. As far as Garcelle goes I wonder if they are fraternal??? They don't look like identical twins to me.

  • shunda

I apologize if I offended anyone I just always wondered what the answer to my question was. Sandra made a comment about biracial people that is why I thought it was okay to post. I was seriously not trying to offend. It was just a question I would love to learn the answer to.

  • Sandra Rose

    SnootyPooty1 Says:

By society standards if you have a certain percentage of black in you your considered black any way.

So you go by what society says you should be? And if society says you have one drop of black blood so you should wear your hair short and natural, would that be okay with you?

  • Sandra Rose

    @ shunda,
far as I'm concerned I'm black. I've never been to Africa and I wasn't born in America so I don't consider myself to be African American.

When I was young we were colored, then James Brown said, "I'm black and I'm proud," so we became black. Then Jesse Jackson said, no, we're African American. So that's what we became. we have to be the only race that can't make up our minds what we want to classify ourselves as.

  • ChokLitFactory

I agree with Sandra. Also, a white person from Africa is WHITE!! Thats it! I meet people from Africa who are brown and Chinese, they're African, but NOT black.
Reminds me of Naima who won one season of Top Model. She was 1/4 black or something but looked Spanish. She ain't never called herself Black the whole show till she stepped foot in Africa. All of a sudden she claimin her Black Blood - NEXT! If you're Black then be Black all the time (like the rest of us!) not just when it conveinences you!

  • Minnie

    They White!
Everybody will think she is the nanny! IT’S SAD BUT ITS TRUE! Well since she is a celeb only in foreigner countries where she is not known they will have the nerve to say that.

    Good Luck Boo!

  • Minnie

It´s funny to see that Gabrielle is already dressing them with black culture – Bob Marleu Tee- ! They will definitely need. Please don’t think I’m racist or something like that, but I’m aware of this cruel world we live in and I’m sure that when these lil cuties became aware that they have a Black Mother they will face same serious social issues! It is what It is!

  • uptopgrl

I am of mixed heritage my mother is Mexican and white and my father is African American. I have six brothers and sisters and we range in all shades and eye color. I have cousins with blue, hazel eyes my brother has blond hair. I claim both of my heritage’s I love being who I am when we visit my grandfather for the 1st time in Mexico I loved it I was tripping I really have Mexican cousins it was beautiful. I don't let society but a label on me I a human.

  • wiggy2272003

Garcelles twins coloring(skin, eyes, and hair) is a lot like Solanges son.Would you say he is not black? There is a documentary on PBS, African American Lives, I believe. They have REAL geneticist test peoples dna for african blood. The results were interesting. Why should anyone care how others classify them anyway?

Also at Sandra, Obama is bi-racial. Are you gonna he is not black? What about an albino who's parents are black?

  • wiggy2272003

when you were young you colored? Then JB came out with black and proud? Didnt that song get released in like 67 or 68? Youre giving up your age girl.

  • SnootyPooty1

@SandraRose... I said by society standards not mine. I will always do me trying to do anything otherwise would be futile.

  • milly

Sandra now you have that song stuck in my head

I'm over here singing say loud I'm black and I'm proud!

  • chi-girl

Well to all the people who have a problem with me saying that I'm not African American...yall can kick rocks...and no EVERYBODY thats black ancestors are from AFRICA...try doing some research, first of all who the hell gonna go trace that shit back to the begining of time??? so if your people came from AFRICA and live in america, then they are African American, then so be it this is my opinion not a debate. and technically I'm brown if you wanna get technical, if i pull out a box of crayons, and put the black to my skin it doesn't match. I have a little sister thats 6 years old and if you tell her shes black, she will say no, I'm brown, and we didn't teach her that she learned about that when she started learning colors. so there you have it!!!

  • Coo Coo Bananas

Again, for the slow ones.. THERE. IS. A. DIFFERENCE. BETWEEN. RACE. AND. NATIONALITY.

sh*t. Has it really come down to this? smh.

  • wiggy2272003

Actually bob marley is also biracial. Being black in is a lot more about expirience than skin tone. Its food, music, language family neighborhoods church etc. thats why I agree with tiger woods not saying he was just black. he grew up with an asian mother(food music couisins etc) How could he just dismiss that from his sense of self? My problem with the term biracial is a child half asian half say latin is grouped together with a half white half black child?

  • wiggy2272003

also @ sandra I just caught the "Dad is hunky singer Seal"

I was gonna say who says hunky anymore but when I thought about it who here ever said hunky?

  • ms.peaches

Coco... I don't know if you were directing that to me cause I mentioned that word when speaking of Mariah & Teena I may have mixed up the words but I was speaking of there race, I believe Nationality is where & who you come from, I do know the difference (lol) I just was trying to figure out what the hell Teena Marie & Mariah's race was so my bad on that!!
