Gov. Paterson Admits to Sex With Other Woman For Years
As I wrote my post last week about ex NY Governor Eliot Spitzer’s fall from grace, I added that David Paterson would be the first biracial governor of NY. In the back of my mind I thought, please don’t let this man turn out to be like every other dog man in power who can’t resist the scent of a conniving woman.
Too late! As every media outlet is gleefully reporting, Governor Paterson has admitted to cheating on his wife with another woman for years! Yes, even blind men cheat! They’re still men aren’t they?
In a stunning revelation, both Paterson, 53, and his wife, Michelle, 46, acknowledged in a joint interview they each had intimate relationships with others during a rocky period in their marriage several years ago.In the course of several interviews in the past few days, Paterson said he maintained a relationship for two or three years with “a woman other than my wife,” beginning in 1999.
As part of that relationship, Paterson said, he and the other woman sometimes stayed at an upper West Side hotel — the Days Inn at Broadway and W. 94th St.
By the way, it is my personal belief that Michelle is lying about her affair to save her husband’s career. I don’t believe her for one minute.
It tickles me when I hear a woman say, “MY man doesn’t cheat,” as if she’s married to a man who was born without genitals or something. Please remember ladies, it isn’t that your man isn’t strong, it’s that the other woman is stronger.
Oh, if you ladies need the number to a good private detective, holla at your girl. I got you

Sandra rose you need to stop your mess. His affair was over 7 years ago. He only spoke of it because people were trying to use it as a levy against him. I am glad he is talking about it instead of the media and you finding out and taken it out of content.

All men don’t cheat. I’m not crazy. I’m willing to go out on a limb and say most black men do, but not all. I know men who don’t cheat. I don’t have enough experience with White men to make a determination about them, but as we have seen in the media, some of them are cheating. I’m sure they don’t all cheat either.
I will agree with you that it is possible that they wife didn’t cheat. Politicians have so many tricks up their sleeves you never know what they will do to save their career. What he did was not against the law so it’s no big deal really. If he can finish out this term and do some significant things for the state he still could get re-elected.
Just like Danity Kane song, “Damaged”. Someone really did some damage to you. You are a scorn woman and your mission in life is to bring every man down. I will pray for you and hope you find someone who can repair the damage that others has caused.
Oh yeah I forgot to mention the most important thing. I’m glad their marraige survived the rough patch.

Call me crazy but I don’t believe that all men cheat. Not to be rude but it makes me feel sory that so many men have done Sandra wrong; it’s obvious that they have and that’s why she’s so quick to say that all men cheat over and over and over again. I would never say that I know for sure that my man doesn’t cheat but I believe that he doesn’t. It’s not stupid it’s called trust, and if you go in a relationship believing that you have a dog, well guess what that’s what he/she probably is. You find some men that can really mess it up for the rest. Some people cheat and some don’t, it doesn’t matter if it’s male or female it happens. Maybe Sandra you should try dating different types of men, and at least offer trust in the beginning and who knows what could happen. I normally hate to hear men say that a women is insecure but in this case Sandra I feel like that hits the nail on the head. The new Governor is a cheater and so is his wife, it doesn’t mean that every man is a cheater and there case is a clear example.
Please remember ladies, it isn’t that your man isn’t strong, it’s that the other woman is stronger.

I don’t believe all men cheat. When my husband and I first met 6 years ago I did not trust him so I was a sneaky little something we did not live together until we got married so I would drive by his home late at night pop up check his caller Id and his cell phone as soon as he got in the shower and all that did was make me crazy because I came up empty handed with no evidence that he was cheating and still to this day he has not cheated.
If he has I have no knowledge. I would like to believe that he respects and loves me enough not to. He took his vows before me and GOD so he better honor them because if he does cheat I am out pronto. NO second chances I don’t believe in them.
Marriage is hard work already so we don’t need to add any extra stress at all. Kudos to them working through a very difficult time.

You’re right. Studies show that the homelier a man is the less likely he is to cheat. But even homely men cheat with hookers. It’s just that most men don’t think it’s cheating if they’re paying for it.
I know of decent looking men who don’t cheat. I also know of lesbians who do cheat. However,I am a straight woman who has never cheated(and I consider myself attractive by the way). My point is ugly men as well as attractive men cheat, but there are also ugly men and attractive men who don’t cheat. Being faithful or unfaithful for that matter has nothing to do with looks nor sexual orientation. If you are weak as a human being, you will probably fall prey to alot of things.

Whoa. Whoa. As a reformed lesbian – yes, this is how I phrase it – with scores of lesbian friends who move from this woman to that woman, I must beg to differ. Maybe once they hit 50+ the women get faithful, but lesbians CHEAT. They move in together overnight, have intense-estrogen filled relationships, and then they either leave or get kicked the hell out… only to do it all over again with another “love of my life”, while never missing a Friday night at the club. #1 – All men don’t cheat ALL the time. The rates for men & women aren’t that far apart, in my opinion, and these are just the people who are honest enough to speak about it. We all know there are plenty of people who may cheat but will take it to the grave with them. It takes motive, desire, timing and opportunity…..
#2 – It’s NOT about the other woman being STRONGER. Women always have a TOP-DOWN view of things, like “If I can get this BETTER man over here, I’m going to drop this one.” Or, if THIS man is BETTER than THAT man, then I will get with him.” Always comparing your current boyfriend to your past one to see which one is better.
MEN don’t think that way at all. This is why you guys always talk trash about the mistresses, other women, etc. – “Why would he mess around when he’s got Halle Berry?!” when it’s ABSOLUTELY NOT about that at all. Men have an ENTIRE RANGE of women that they would consider “doable.” Just because woman B doesn’t look better than woman A doesn’t mean the man will not break woman B off.
And on the other side, sometimes people are just curious, others are just greedy. I can have all of the best chocolate ice cream in the world and have as much of it as I want at any time – BUT IN SOME CASES, I’M JUST GOING TO WANT A TASTE OF THAT BUTTER PECAN. As a woman, there’s nothing you can do about that.

Excellent advice but don’t sleep on that P.I. ladies! I tell women all the time to do what the white women do: hire a PI to collect the evidence, then present that evidence in court and take that fool for everything he has.

sorry I was not done with my comment. somehow hit submit. My brother told me the statement about all men not cheating all the time. I think women cheat for emotionl and financial support and men cheat just to not hear the women nag all day about everything. Most men who cheat I feel it is for the sex and other communication besides the kids need this, I need that , u need to do this. Just my opinion.

22% of men and 15% of women – admitted in that or other surveys that they cheat. I think those numbers could both be a little higher and a little closer together. I believe that more men may “admit” they cheat than women. I believe women are a little better at keeping things “close to the vest” as they say. Sandra – I feel you – a person cannot deny hard evidence in their face – and the best way to get over someone is to get on with the next person!
Cheating is a problem with men and women. People don’t respect relationships or themselves anymore. Just look at all the men paying child support for children that aren’t their own. Come on. It’s a two way street.
Everyone wants to take the easy road, instead fighting to stay together. That’s why I am single…I know for sure I can trust MYSELF.
