On the real Sandra thanks for the post of her new video this is so reminiscent of Nas’ single 1 Mic and his single he had with Quan I love this type of message within music this is what Hip Hop was all about and should be now…..I’m loving the song!!!

Finally got to see the vid. Not a fan of rap. I think rap is wack, this vid is on point and too bad that Mothers( I say mothers because in black homes 80% of black woman are single moms). Mothers do need to tell their children that they are worthy. They matter and also what is wrong with setting an example for our kids to look up to us as their “super heros”. Money only makes one rich. Raising kids without money only makes them more humble, wiser and more dertermined to achieve. Of course you have to throw in morals, values and disapline. I know my kids love rap but this video I will email to them. Lil Mama I see on different web sites but I never got a chance to listen to her music.(until now). I too like a song with a messege. “Mamas don’t let your babys grow up to be anything but winners. Money does not make a winner. The measure of a person does.

proud of her. it’s true that music needs such reality and substance. and it’s awesome that she is not selling out to sexism yet.
but her nose makes her look much older…i think she is young in real life though. oh well sometimes it’s like that.

I watched it on Access Granted last night and when it was time for the video to come on I called my 16 year old in to watch it. Neither of us were crazy about the video. I think I could barely hear the lyrics which I think are supposed to be important. Anyway, I really like Lil Mama a lot and plan to buy her CD. I didn’t now she sang. She’s pretty good.
