@ Sandra, that article says nothing about Kanye hosting anything. It says (and I quote) “Absolut will sponsor after-parties in each tour city, where the venues will become an extension of the stage design West unveiled during his Grammy performance last weekend”

Maybe my ability to read between the lines is off because I havent had my morning coffee, but I dont see where anyone would mistake that for him hosting a party. It said Absolut would sponsor AFTER PARTIES, not after parties & appearances

If he has an contractual obligation stating he has to host every single party, then, yes, they can sue him. (I’m sure they’ll chalk it up as a misunderstanding though) Maybe the contract is to use his name & likeness for party promotions but not obligating him to actually be there. No one knows the verbatim of the contract so we cant speculate about his obligations. (I worked for the shadiest man in show biz so I know a thing or two about loopholes)

I agree with Brwnsugga, Kanye do got a LOT of B*tch*ssness in him! Thats foul for him to do that, I always thought it was the promoters who lie. Sucks for the fans who pay good money to see Kanye!

If they attempted to sue for their money back it would put them in a bad light so I am sure agents are calling managers and mangers are going over the contract twice and so on and so on. They have other ways of getting it back or not. it really isn’t a lot of dough for Absolute, they can stand to lose it but truly do they want one of those foolish boycotts the hiphop nation could bring down on them…not worth it.
Bloggergirlz has it right this behavior while crackish, is pretty common, happens a lot and he is not the first artist to do it.
