The lady of the hour, Maya Angelou celebrated her 80th birthday with family, celebrity friends and admirers on Saturday, May 4 at the Woodruff Performing Arts Center in Atlanta.
What happened to birthday girl Lynn Whitfield? Lynn turns 53 today, but she just let herself go once she turned 50. Doesn’t she know 50 is the new 40?
I want to say this is Boris‘ wife Nicole Ari Parker, but I’m not too sure… Maybe it’s the lighting… or the hair.

Oooooohhhhh Lynn almost made me jump over to Sandra’s side of the fence. She looks good. Elegant, classy, but will f’ a nigga up in a heartbeat. Much like her role in Thin Line.
TI looks like he wasn’t invited, but he came clean and proper so that he wouldn’t immediately make a scene when being thrown out. He looks nice tho’. I think more or less Tiny would have blown his cover. LOL

I love Bernice,but its women like this, that need a makeover. I know who she is, I know what she stands for, but shoot her late mother, rest her soul even got on Oprah and got a makeover, the feathered hair with the hot curlers is over.She is too cute! I can see her with a really short cut and a more neutral outfit. I would suggest a makeover for Lynn Whitfield, hard to believe she played Josephine Baker.

It’s good to see people living to 80 and still able to get around. I know Okra was around there somewhere with Gayle passing out gifts trinkets or something. Nicole looks like those 2 cute babies tore her ass up last night, we’ve all been there and looked like damnit who done it the next day.
I think what it is, is that we are all getting older and our ‘celebs’ are aging and REALLY starting to look old. Look at Will Smith turning gray, I almost choked the last time I saw Sally Fields.

Mrs. Angelou is simply a beautiful gift. I had the pleasure of hearing her speak last year at the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra’s Annual MLK Celebration. Although she seemed very weak after being escorted onto stage, as soon as she opened her mouth you could feel the strength being released… she was amazing. I just wish she was an Obama supporter, but I understand her allegiance to the Clintons. Anyway, everyone pictured above represented classy and elegant nicely.
Okay now it makes sense, because I was wondering why Quicy Jones made a random appearance at Kanye’s concert Sunday… I guess he hung with the mature crowd during the day and kicked it with the youngins later that night!

i like the look of lynn, i mean shes 53, and unless u live in the plastic surgens office, you are going to your age. not everybody wants to be 20. now what the heck was TI thinking ? tennis shoes and an un tucked shirt to an event that you could tell was after 5 attire ? im sure he had a suit at home, he knows he better wear all them clothes before he has to wear an orange jump suit….
I think Lynn Whitfield looks great. She certainly looks better than some that are 20 years younger than her. Compare her to let’s say Jasmine Guy and she doesn’t look as ridiculous as Mariah who is pretending to be 23 when she AIN’T.

Happy Birthday Ms Angelou she looks great for her age. Lynn is a victim of obsession with botox. Nicole Ari Parker I never thought this chick was cute AT ALL. Her husband Boris use to be a favorite of mine but his horrible acting in “potential to be good movies if he wasn’t cast in them” like “The Gospel” and that broadway play he replaced Terrence Howard in I forget the name have turned me off. T.I. is so handsome and always gets up so nice. I love the pink on white, but yet he still looks masculine, he and his stylist get a round of applause. Tiny keep that man girl.
May God bless us all during these times of chaos. As far as these pictures are concerned, a picture can tell a thousand stories. Living to see 80 is a blessing given to few, especially the hip/hop/rap generation, many don’t live to see 25 or 30. Take care of yourself by exercising, eating and driniking right, Love the Lord and He will make a way somehow! My opinion, for what it’s worth: Lynn Whitfield looks absolutely great, so does Maya, and Nicole just needs a good night sleep. As always, I leave you in peace.

Anyway there are many adult children who start to live after their parents pass away. Most feel too guilty to live and do what they want to do becasue they are parent pleasers. Also parents know how to minupulate their children by guilting them. So when these parents pass away , yes the child feels greif and sadness but more feelings of relief- I can now live my life.

Ms. Maya didn’t appear to be so old in Tyler Perry’s movie. I know she’s older but this pic makes her look every bit of her age (god I pray I survive as long or longer). Now that Nicole Ari Parker is married, she’s looking tired to me. I thought she was much prettier before she started the family life. Although Lynn Whitfield looks nice, she has put on some weight.
