Video: Cops beat 3 black men like they shot someone
Actually they did shoot someone.
About 15 cops set on 3 black shooting suspects in Philly and stomped them senseless after a slow speed chase. Like Eddie Murphy suggested in the movie “Trading Places” - they used their nightsticks on ‘em.
Let me be clear: I don’t like criminals and I have no sympathy for them when they are injured or maimed in the process of committing a crime.
If these were 3 innocent black men I would feel differently. Now watch Al Sharpton and Michael Baisden run to their defense.

You know the anniversary of the infamous Rodney King beating was last week.
I am *trying* to hold my judgment on this until I hear more fact.

Here’s a fact: instead of 15 cops lighting up 3 shooting suspects as they tried to flee, they subdued them and took them into custody thereby protecting the citizens of Philadelphia from 3 criminals.
*sarcasm* Well if the FLOPS (oops cops) could beat Rodney down, flog Abner Louima, shoot Dialo 41 times, shoot at and kill Bell and injur his friends; they clearly have the right to beat down 3 shooting suspects and get away with it.
Does it really take 15 cops to restrain 3 men? F*CK NO! And they are stomping and kicking the 3 dudes like they in a street fight. What is wrong with the world today?
this was rodney king all over again…it does not take all that to restrain 3 people…after dragging them out the car.
Just looking at the video you can see that this so wrong. There where many cops just arriving after the men where handcuffed,and they started to stomp on the men. Also if you notice in the video several of the officers got into their cruisers and the video show them leaving the scene. I am a criminal justice major, and these men rights where violent in many ways.
Were those the guys that robbed the bank in Philly on Saturday and killed a cop? If so that is why they did this, they were on emotional rollercoasters. The police searched a NJ Transit train on Monday because the got a call from someone saying that the man that killed the cop in Philly was on the train. They shut down the trains for about 3-4 hrs searching the Newark Airport area.
i mean, after getting them down on the ground and handcuffing them, shouldn’t the beating stop?

Sandra, I can see the emotions are running high in that city with the recent killing of the police officer, and nowadays, when you are pulled over by a cop it is best to follow directions. There are already a few conflicting reports of what actually occurred, that’s why I am going to sit back on this one, but stomping people in the head on the ground with their backs turned–I don’t think will sit well with a lot of people, and might stir more retaliation.
It’s hard to see whether or not they were resisting from the film, and raised questions of brutality, will probably take the limelight over any other issues.
if you did wrong you should go to jail, but not a beat down like that! police can get away shootin you even if you don’t have a gun, but if they think you di, they’re justicefy to shoot you without them goin to jail! so you’re sayin sandra that they can beat you down, after you’re down on the ground sandra? hpoefuly when you get pull over, and reach for something in your purse, you wont get shot, because the po-po will get away with it in a court of our bullcrap law!

When you take someone else’s life you lose your rights.
Like I tell my son, DWB does exist. Racial Profiling is never going away. If they were only “shooting suspects” what would have happened if they knew definately one of the men in the car was the one who killed the police officer?
Sandra, I totally agree with you. I was born and raised in Philadelphia and have been living in the “A” since 1992. However, it scares me daily to hear from my mother and grandmother about all the escalating crime in Philly. The thugs are shooting at cops on the regular so you know they don’t care about the average citizen. The police must step up their tactics to try to stop the violence. The criminals are actually scaring the police officers. A great deal of the Philly cops have left their jobs because they feel like they don’t get paid enough to deal with the constanst assaults on their lives. Unfortunately, if you are not a criminal, but are suspected of a crime, the cops are on edge because of all the cop killings. If anyone is interested in more of the facts go here: www.philly.com. And yes, I know that you can’t believe everything you read, but unless you live in Philly, you don’t how bad it has become.

Would this have been justifiable if the police shot and killed them? It’s open season on blk men this summer, watch. What I couldn’t gather is one of the cops ran in, kicked and stomped one guy, then when he seen that he couldn’t get his foot in good enough, he ran right over to the other guy and stomped and kicked him as well.
Now I don’t condone any thug that chooses wake up in the morning with intent to kill, but this sh!T right here, wasn’t right. They could have gotten a billy club to the rib once or twice, but damn. Then again they brought all of this on themselves. You can’t just go around shooting any and everybody for whatever reason.
On another note: They removed 15 officers off the street for the beating. Whether they are on “paid” administrative leave or not, IDK. But they are off the streets.
Black people need to stop commiting crimes!!!

That is for a court of law to decide, not a cop… else they wouldn’t be required to read them their rights.
I understand how you feel about not necessarily feeling bad for the criminals but the law is that they are suppose to be read their rights, arrested, taken to jail to await their proper punishment. I did not see in this video the 3 young men criminals or not start fighting or come out shooting they were dragged out of the car and then jumped on by 2 or 3 or 4 police officers at a time there is no reason for that. Now if the 3 guys were shooting at them before the slow azz chase even then usually the police respond with weapons pulled ready to go crazy but instead these police officers went to the car pulled them out and beat their azzes that is not apart of it at all especially if they did not come out fighting!!!!!!!!!
Here’s a snippet of what the police commissioner of Philly had to say in response to the 14 officers that beat the suspects (of course the excuse for their actions is lame as hell):
“When they first got him out of the car [it was being handled well],” said Ramsey. “But once they’re down… that level of force is only necessary to affect an arrest. I’m disappointed in what I’m looking at.”
The commissioner says he spoke with his command staff immediately after seeing the tape on television. He encouraged them to give relief to officers who may be stressed out or tired.

That is a damn shame. It really did not take all of that. I dont agree with what they are accused of but its not the responsibility of the cops to decide their punishment. They are getting paid to bring the suspects in and thats it. They are out of control, they have manhandled and beat people for much less. I hope they get sued.

Don’t get me wrong I fully support the punishment any criminal receives once he has been proven gulity, but according to published reports these men have been with the following below which came from yahoo.com
“The three suspects were charged with criminal conspiracy, aggravated assault, simple assault and reckless endangerment, according to court officials”
No where does it says murder.
there are no attempted murder charges because there were actually 4 suspects and the one that shot the 3 victims got away.. he never jumped in the car. he ran in opposite direction

let’s be glad that the fox helicopter was there.. maybe there will be a fair investigation…. so many things happen in philly on a regular basis.. i’m have filed a grievance against the police for coming in my house and pulling me out for mistaken identity… this was almost three years ago.
Dang! I like to see how this ends up. On the surface it looks like excessive force I don’t care what they did.

if they was in a triple shooting, and they ran, but gave themself up, laid down on the ground with no guns in their hands, and still get stomp out like that! that’s why sean bell, and that old lady here in atl got what the po-po feels is justice because of what you see right there! because they feel they’re the law, when they suppose to uphold the law! and the courts will set them free! and they will be out there doin it again and again! the guys was wrong for what they did, but if you sandra feel they was justify for what those a-hole po-po did! i hope you never run into a po-po who had a bad day! like some of us did!

3 Suspected shooters! So we know for sure they really shot someone? What happen to innocent until proven guilty? The cops reply after that beating was the were “stressed” after a fellow cop was shot during a bank robbery which had nothing to do with 3 suspects. Aren’t cops “stressed” everyday when they go to work to protect us? Just wondering!

The Mayor and police chief agreed that from viewing the tape the beating was very suspect and several are under investigation. Would you have the same sentiments if it were your family member or TI? Interesting!
