When a HIV positive person has a viral load that is undetectable it only means they have a low viral load, they will still test positive on any HIV antibody test.

This whole undetectable things scares the hell out of me, because I don’t have sex due to not wanting to catch HIV. My plan has been, when I get out of school and establish myself in my career I would then open my planner to dating. I refuse to have sex with anyone that I haven’t had tested. But with this whole undetectable thing. How will I know that the person hasn’t already tested positive at some point?

This is just crazy.

Abhor I totally agree with the population control theory. Crack and HIV was a great way to control the population of black folks.

prynsexxx-I never got that shot or that norplant thing. I’m not down with nothing that’ll have my period coming once a year. God didn’t intend for me to have one or two periods a year. I’m not messing with it. I’ll stick to my pills. I’m married so abstinence ain’t working at my house.

I do believe in HIV/AIDS but i do not believe how it came about. Prior to the 80’s noone had it, not even in the 70’s when the sex revolution was at its prime when people sexually free.. its bull****! I find it odd that the people that are affected by it the most are in the African, African American and gay community.We all know for the longest that we (blacks)and the gay community have been looked at as expendable ..Seems like population control to me..

Im not against medicine, I am intrigued with the body. I work in Anatomic Pathology and I love it! But I refuse to let me or my child become a human lab rat off of somebody’s “experiment”. I don’t trust Tylenol let alone a shot of any sort. I remember back in the day when ppl were running to get that Depo shot and Norplant (four rods that are placed in your arm to prevent pregnancy). Yeah right. My sister ran and got that Norplant and woke up one day with her whole head of hair laying on her pillow looking up at her. She stay rockin’ braids and wigs ever since and that was in the early 90’s. Miss me.

Eat right, practice abstinence/safe sex, leave the negative ppl behind and pray and you will live a healthy properous wholesome life.

of course its undetectable now. he’s rich. he can afford all the drugs, supplements, etc to get it out of his bloodstream. its sad, but money talks.

I know by now everyone has heard of the shot Gaurdisil. It’s suppose to be a cure to prevent cervical cancer. They are pushing it on young minority blk girls, why? Well because the shot closes the womb making it difficult for one to carry a child.

I have a 14 year old daughter and we recently went to the Dr. and the Dr. was trying to push this on us. I said no we’re not doing that. This medication has been on the market for less than 5 years and you want me to put it in my child. I don’t think so. The Dr. was highly annoyed. Oh well, she’s mine deal with it.

I remember hearing about a drug (can’t remember it’s purpose)that was pushed on women in the 50’s or 60’s. Once these women started having babies the babies were born with serious birth defects or they had a hard time carrying a baby to term at all. These problems were later traced back to that drug.

Don’t believe everything commercials or even your Dr. tells you. Do your research. Like someone else said the medical field is all about making dollars even at your expense if need be.

Personally I never believed he really had it to begin with. I’ve always thought it was a publicity stunt like a Public Service Announcement. “look kids if Magic can get it you can too” sort of thing.
