Another club promoter brutally attacked

I’m still getting emails from readers inquiring about club promoter and fitness trainer Darius Miller who was attacked by a group of thugs back in December. I don’t know Mr. Miller personally, but I hear he is out of ICU and recovering slowly due to brain damage. Please keep him in your prayers.

Yesterday, a loyal reader sent me an email detailing another brutal attack involving another club promoter named Syncere. Details are sketchy, but according to Syncere, 24, he was set up by a chick named Destinee who he met at on May 8 at Club Pure where he promotes Thursday nights.

After exchanging text messages for a few days, the two agreed to meet at a club. But prior to that meeting, Destinee informed Syncere that she had a boyfriend. At one point she said: “You seem like a great friend, I hope we can have a strong friendship for a long time since I’m taken“

Syncere invited her to his home at 2:10 AM to park her car before proceeding to the club together. As they pulled up to his driveway he was attacked by her boyfriend and another man who had been following them in another vehicle.

Syncere was stabbed 4 times and suffered a collapsed lung. He is out of the hospital now and asking for the public’s help to find his assailants.

Here’s a little friendly advice to you young cats: if you meet a woman in a club and she brings up her boyfriend within the first 15 minutes of conversation - she is not feeling you. Fall back.

Let the words “I have a boyfriend” or “I’m taken” be the last words you hear from a chick in a nightclub. If she says, “but we can still be friends,” you say, “no we can’t.” Life is too short and there are too many single chicks in Atlanta for you to be caught up in unnecessary drama.

    At 2:20A:M Early Weds morning Atl almost lost an Angel..

    I met Destinee on the night of May 8th @ Pure Atl (An Event i host Every Thursdays Night) We hit it off real well on a casual tip and ended up talking most of the night while i hosted. She seemed like a sweetheart and i admit there was a little flirting as u can see in the pic we took that night. She expressed to me she had a boyfriend, and tho no man likes to hear this, I took it for what it was and left it at that.

    For the next couple days we exchanged short conversation and text messages. Nothing major. Wasn’t trying to take her out on a date etc.. I remember one conversation her saying ” You seem like a great friend, I hope we can have a strong friendship for a long time since im taken” I was flattered and all for that.
    On the night of May 12th, I received a text around 11pm that read “Whats Up?” I replied “headed to the city to attend this cafe called Via and meet up with some friends” She expressed that her prior plans fell thru and wanted to see me.I told her she was more than welcome to meet me at Via right off Pharr Rd. She said “I would love to but can u pick me up off of Cascade rd, I’m not really good with directions driving in the city, and I don’t have much gas”. I Politely Declined, It was totally out of the way real late… Now Pay close attention to details y’all:

    I told her i would give her gas once she got to me and i would give her presice directions..She reluctantly agreed to meet me off of 14th street which was closer.She called me at about 1:30 and said she was at the Silver Skillet and to come meet here there so she could ride back with me to the Spot..I get there around 2am. It looked like a tow zone so i said “follow me to my condo in Atlantic Station (which was 2 blocks up) Park your car there so you wont get towed, and we can proceed from there”. ( Me being considerate as always)

    She follows me, I pull up and past my drive way at 2:10am to give way so she could pull in and park her car while I waited. She just stayed idle behind my car. I Signal’d from my window “Pull in that driveway”. No Movement from her.. I hopped out and headed towards her to see what was the hold up. As I approached her car, headlights were approaching from behind her car.

    The car whips around us and a guy in the passenger side hops out with this crazy look on his face. He says to me, “Whats up dog? What u doing with my girl?!!” Before I could get one word out he sucker punched me on the left side of my face. Then the Driver (who is much larger) hops out with a gun in plain view. I now had a choice to make, 1) Fight back and possibly get shot, 2) Run and still possibly get shot, 3)Protect myself and take it like a man.I went with Choice 3.I Covered my face and was rushed to the concrete.They kicked and punched my back and ribs for over 5 minutes. (It was soo dark and quiet in this area). I remember yelling “I didn’t touch your girl” and he responded “yea, but you was about to!!” Destinee just watched the whole ordeal in Silence! Didn’t say a word..

    I had to play dead for these dudes to stop attacking me. Once i did that they ran to their car, Destinee got in her car, and they both sped off into the same direction. I got up in a daze, but had so much adrenaline that I felt no pain.. I was looking for my phone on the ground which was knocked out my hands with the first punch. Didnt find it. I got back in my car to go somewhere other than there to clean up cuz I was bleeding on my back. I figured from the concrete or the kicks).

    I got 2 blocks away and then it got harder and harder to breath. At this point I knew something was wrong. I drove myself to the hospital. I stumbled into Emergency and got checked in.. I’ll never forget when the nurse pulled my shirt up and asked, “Sir, do you realize you have been stabbed 4 times??!!??” I also had a punctured lung which required a chest tube to drain the blood and fluid out my lungs.

    MY QUESTION TO YOU ATL: DID DESTINEE SET ME UP????
    WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN THE MOTIVE??
    DID I DESERVE THIS??
    AND WHAT WOULD YOU DO??

    CLOSING STATEMENT: MEN AND WOMAN WATCH WHO YOU DEAL WITH..ESPECIALLY PEOPLE WHO ARE ALREADY INVOLVED IN A RELATIONSHIP. SOMETIMES THEIR SIGNIFICANT OTHER MIGHT NOT HAVE ANYTHING GOING FOR THEMSELVES AND WILL GET CRAZY TO PROTECT THEIR RELATIONSHIP.

    I THINK I’M FINALLY READY TO SETTLE DOWN, I CANT WAIT TO MEET MY NEXT QUEEN. ITS GETTIN TOO CRAZY OUT HERE.
