No u’re not Bloggergirl I haven’t either.But hell I didn’t purchase this cd the first time.It’s a different funky vibe it’s ok.I see what her sound is now at first I was confused.

She should stick to being an “It girl”, like Cassie and Andre J. Go to the parties, look fly, do some photo shoots. Just don’t open that mouth and pollute the world with that voice. And if she has to sing, stick to dance joints. “Take A Bow” and “Unfaithful” make me want to shoot myself. Leave the singing to the singers.
Then again, Ashanti came back 5 years later with some vocals, so maybe Rihanna can holler at her vocal coach.

I agree w/ the above poster Rihanna should stick to dance music and forget the actual singing. Ashanti didn’t have the best voice but she does write her own songs and songs people can relate to, Rihanna is even more manufactured than Ashanti, she doesn’t even have her own identity as an artists. How Rihanna continues to slip through the cracks b/c people like to look at her is beyond me. Before if you couldn’t sing, you better dance (Britney,Paula Abdul) or you better have the bomb voice if you couldn’t dance (Mariah,Whitney). She can’t sing or dance but just has a great stylist and has so so music.

In respect To Ashanti what you are hearing now is her true voice..Irv made her tone down..it took her basically doing stuff on her own(although still signed with the inc) to let who she was shine thorugh..she’s still not the greatest but it’s a mass improvement..RiRi has her looks and a hot boyfriend right now..she has a great production team and is easily crossed over..her talent or lack therof takes a backseat to all of that..but for the music junkie that I am, where I know what talent is..neither one of these chicks would get my hard earned dime..but i won’t knock their hustle
I like it. I like the whole package her (and her handlers) are giving right now. Most artists are manufactured these days so I won’t be hard on her about that. She is a beautiful girl with great style. Even if she has a stylist, I doubt he/she dresses her for EVERY occassion. I think she’s stylish on her own. Now, back to the song. It’s not the best Rihanna song, but I think it will grow on me.

Ashanti doing better this time around.I just got done hearing the new album and a major upgrade it is.She toned down that “baby baby baby” and the “oh oh oh” which anybody can do.But I don’t know if I compare her to Rihanna since their styles are completely different.
what the hell is riri doing releasing the album again for. the first one just went platinum like a month ago, makes no sense to me to even bother re-releasing it just put out a new album. this will be her 4th album in 3 years.

^ I agree. Most celebs have professional stylists, but nobody has one dressing them everyday. Rihanna is a trendsetter in my opinion. People may have tried this look she has going, but nobody is owning it like she is.
