An Atlanta man was arrested for impersonating a Piedmont hospital doctor. The sad part is his wife, who he met last year at a club, dropped him off every morning at Piedmont hospital (he didn’t have a car?)
Two things she did wrong: 1) she married a guy she met in a nightclub, 2) she married a guy who couldn’t scrape two coins together to buy his own transportation. Atlanta is full of losers like this guy who hook up with desperate women willing to take care of them. Stop enabling these LOSERS, ladies!

She drove him there EVERYDAY!!!!!!!!!! What was his excuse for not having a car…….and he was supposedly a doctor. Why didn’t she question the fact that she was (most likely) still paying the bills at her apartment and her own car note. WTF!!!

Ooohhhhh this is so SAD and SCARY! His “wife” needs to be whipped with a leather belt. How are you not going to know that your “husband” is NOT a licensed doctor? What in the crispy-fried-chicken hell?? DESPERATION IS A HORRIBLE PERFUME TO WEAR.
Okay so after she dropped him off, was he actually in the hospital seeing patients?? See and doctor’s wonder why (when I go somewhere as a new patient) that I want to see their state licenses PRONTO and DISPLAYED in a viewable place!
please tell me his wife is slow or has mental issues…this is insane to say the least…

ATLANTA — Police said a man posing as an emergency room doctor, even fooling his wife, was arrested last week at Piedmont Hospital.
“He told me he was a doctor as well as an electrical engineer,” Tammi Perteet told WSB-TV Channel 2 reporter Diana Davis in an exclusive interview.
Tammi said Eric Perteet seemed like a dream come true: a handsome, smart doctor.
They met in a club last November.
He confided in Tammi Perteet about his painful past, she said. His parents and two kids, he said, were killed in a Chicago car crash.
“And my heart just immediately opened up to him because of the tragedies he suffered,” said Tammi Perteet.
He told her he gave up medicine and came to Atlanta to get away. They married in March, honeymooning in the Bahamas.
“It was very surprising on our honeymoon that he told me he was going back into medicine and he was going to start immediately,” said Tammi Perteet.
He said he was starting at the Piedmont Hospital emergency room.
“Every morning I would drop him off at the hospital,” said Tammi Perteet.
She said that from March through May, her husband called every hour or so from the hospital — at least he said — telling her about his tough day.
“To tell me he lost a patient, [or] you know, he almost lost a patient,” said Tammi Perteet.
When he didn’t call one night last week, she got worried and called the E.R. To her surprise, the people there had never heard of him.
“I was thinking maybe the nurses do not know all the doctors,” said Tammi Perteet.
So she called him on his Piedmont cell phone, the one he told her was for emergencies. A staff member picked up.
“I said, ‘I’m trying to locate my husband, Dr. Perteet.’ And she said, ‘Dr. who? We don’t have a Dr. Perteet.’ And she says, ‘Are you talking about the guy that had this cell phone?’ And I said ‘yes.’ And she says, ‘Oh, he was arrested last night for impersonating a doctor,’” Tammi Perteet said.
Perteet was arrested and booked into the Fulton County Jail on charges of identity fraud, receiving stolen property, and credit card theft.
He was found at the hospital with a stolen Piedmont security badge and a vial of medicine.
“I was told [by Piedmont Hospital] at the time he was arrested, he and a nurse were taking a patient from the emergency room into intensive care,” said Tammi Perteet.
Tammi Perteet has talked to him three times since he has been in jail and has even visited him. Still, he maintains his story. He still says he is a doctor and talks about going to work.
Piedmont Hospital told Channel 2 that there was no evidence that Perteet ever came into contact with patients. It said it is cooperating with police and has systems in place to provide a safe and secure environment.
As for the stolen badge, it said a doctor reported it missing and it was deactivated.

However, there were too many “inconsistencies” with his story..where are the colleagues..every doctor has a friend he goes golfing with..how was the living situation? why didn’t he have a car? was she working and if so WHY? To go back into medicine he would have loot..he’s no longer in residency so again..why wasn’t he driving? I bet he had an excuse for all of these questions and her simple ass didn’t think enough to do a background check? I met a guy on a Friday night, who told me he played for the Seattle Seahawks. This nigra was driving a 1990 Acura with satellite radio and some rims on it. Talkin bout, this is my car I drive when I’m in town. No sooner he drove me round to my car, I was on the phone with my sister like look this nigra up. Come to find out, my SISTER worked with him back in the day and he was (try to keep up) my other sisters boyfriends son that we didn’t know he had! LOL Granted the fling was over by that Sunday. My first sister that I called and said “look this nigra up” is 6 years older than me.
I am the youngest of 13 children.
My mother is 71.
She had me two weeks before her 40th b-day.
My dad was waaaaaaaaayyyyyy older than my mother.
I have brothers who are retired.
Oh and my sisters “boyfriend” was a church organ playin, open faced gold tooth, slick back perm wearin’ PIMP! (that drove a Cadillac).

How come nobody mentioned that this woman met him in a club in NOVEMBER and married him in MARCH?????? Who marries a man after knowing them for 4 months???? And from March until May he kept up a lie. That’s a relatively short period of time. She had it coming to her because she was too gullible. It takes at least a year of being with somebody for the real truth about them to come out. And sometimes many more years for more truths after that. Shows she was truly desperate.

First, a doctor AND an electrical engineer?! He couldn’t even lie right and she was an idiot for believing it. But I bet he had an excuse for everything. He didn’t have a car because he was still traumatized over his family dying in a car crash. And he probably did have money. The article said he was charged with credit card theft. He probably had a bunch of credit cards and was using those to pay bills and go to the Bahamas.
I need the WHOLE story before I jump to conclusions. If he were white we’d immediately think that he was paying the bills by way of some financial scam. But since he’s black we just automatically assume she paid all the bills and he wasn’t even cunning enough to have stolen money in his bank account (to fool her like he’s really a doctor). We’re probably right, but still.
As far as having no car, he probably told her that he believed in carpooling for the environment… you know, being a “doctor” and all…

Yeah, he probably did say he was traumatized since the “accident”.
I feel for the sister. It’s hard out here and no one likes to be alone; some can deal and find other outlets but some not so well. Girlfriend, hang in there; keep your head up and definately keep your wits about you. We’ve all done stupid things that we are taking to the grave and unfortunately yours ended up on Fox 5; DAMN!
I typed his name in google and it showed he was arrested in earlier this year in Rockdale county I have copied the info below:

This explains why he was not driving.
Lol I read about this and all I could do was smh. How did he justify his lack of income. She really was blind.
Now that ive seen the interview I feel bad, but why would she continue to go see him and talk to him on the phone. Its obvious that she is totally open for him and thats sad cause clearly he is some type of ill.

my girlfriend had a friend that met a guy on the internet saying he was a doctor. well, she did her research and low and behold he was not! ladies do your research before hooking up w/these men.
