teecee, with any surgery, there are risks. i’m putting my experience out there because i couldn’t see my alarm clock next to the bed and now i’m just loving this!

for anyone that’s interested, you’ve got to find the best and most experience optometrist and lasik surgeon. they both kinda work together.

- i can’t speak on short vision vs. distance vision but i don’t have problems with either now.

- people with certain pre-existing conditions are not good candidates. for instance, if you suffer from occasional dry-eye, lasik is not good for you. after the surgery, i had extremely dry eyes but it went away after about 2 weeks. also, i had light sensitivity for about a week or so, as well. those sound like post-surgical issues that usually take care of themselves.

- also, if you have really bad vision, you may need a re-touch; it’s best to get the guarantee. i needed a re-touch in one eye after it dropped from 20/15 to 20/50 in a year. the re-touch took about 30 seconds and i’m good now.

- night vision (mostly driving because of the glare of the streetlights) may have very slight blurriness. if you drive at night alot, you will have to get used to it or you can get a small prescription to help out. this is not that major unless you are a truck driver or have to drive often at night.

- needing reading glasses is a function of age. the lasik surgeon and optometrist should explain that eventually, EVERYBODY needs glasses to read. the lasik procedure simply delays this need. and for us, it will be the $10 ones you can get off the rack at wal-mart. there are also things they can do during the procedure to adjust one eye to function as reading glasses.

- the surgery will perform well the better your eyes are now. there is also a variety of different surgeries depending on your current eye condition. lasik is not just one type of surgery.

this just for those who are contemplating. as indicated above, it is a risk but the rewards are justifiable.

Oh dear! What did you do now Sandra… This guy is piiissstttt at you, you certainly hit a nerve. well am of the opinion that people’s sexuality is their business and isn’t newsworthy…but if other people are entertained by it, then that’s their choice. At the end of the day, if it bothers you, don’t read it. Its down to personal choice..the information will be there whether you like it or ot. If i see an article that i don’t like, i just don;t comment..and i don;t read it..i simply move on to other things.. This guy should adopt that kind of attitude, otherwise he will kill himself with all that fury for nothing..

i went to go get laser evaluation and the dr told me that for the increase in short vision, there is a lost in distance vision. and that you still need reading glasses after the surgery. he also said, that even tho the surgery goes well, you eyes my react differently and have a ton of problems. many people have sun light sensitivity and night blindness after the surgery. after he told me the risk i said forget it and went back to contacts and glasses.

I LOVE THIS SITE…..ONE THING ABOUT SANDRA THAT I NOTICED WHEN SHE IS PROVEN WRONG SHE WILL ADMITT IT. SHE HAS DONE IT BEFORE. HER SITE IS THE FIRST ONE I COME TO IN THE MORNING.
