If you watched the video of Greg Street going in on Jermaine Dupri, you saw this unique one-of-a-kind chess set on display in Street’s home.
The Hip Hop chess set is an eye grabber because the chess pieces are figurines designed in the likeness of popular Hip Hop artists such as Snoop Dogg, Young Jeezy, Missy Elliot, Plies and Ludacris.
Lisa Mathews of Incidentals also makes figurines in the likeness of dearly departed artists such as Tupac, Aaliyah, Left Eye and Biggie. The figurines are hand made by Lisa who says it takes about 18 hours to make each piece.
A complete chess set of 32 hand made figurines will set you back $5000 - but isn’t the man in your life worth it? One special piece made in the likeness of your favorite artist is $300.
Place your order with Lisa today and you can take delivery of your own one-of-a-kind Hip Hop chess in about two months. Other high profile owners of Hip Hop chess sets include Ryan Cameron and Jimmy Iovine, president of Interscope Records.
Lisa Mathews can be reached at (678) 575-2835 or email her at collectincidentals@collectincidentals.com

Happy Hump Day All
LMAO!!! You are Hilarious!!
How do you know which pieces is the Queen, King or the Pawns?!?!
LOL, they cute.But I wouldn’t.
My dead beat father wouldnt “get” it
@ ckarinwhite
I was wondering the same thing
this seems like something greg street would have in his home….it’s cute..but, strictly for the playroom.
I checked out her website…very creative pieces. I actually like that…its unique and I’ve been looking for a big life-sized chess set.
I likes, I would actually get it for myself. It’s kinda slick.
But I think a better suited chess set are the ones made out of wood with th real Afrian kings and queens and soliders (pawns). Those are nice as well.
All in all - the hip hop one is cute!
I don’t care if they are custom made … that is GARBAGE .. HOT GHETTO GARBAGE … Chess is an intellectual game … how in the HAIL can you justify a chess piece in the likeness of lil kim or flava flav ? ? ? ?
LOL is that Bill Cosby in the back - on the blk side?
I was going to buy one until I saw the price.
Sandra stop it…I just want the Tupac piece.
I like the pieces and I just checked out the artist’s website and if you are in or near Atlanta July 24-27, she will be at the 2008 National Black Arts Festival.
That is quite all right but I wish Lisa much success!!!
Coonery-At-It’s-Finest (HOT GARBAGE)

You had me laughing HELLA hard… I seriously broke out laughing, bringing all types of attention to myself at the office. Oh lawd!
Plies though?? For real homie…WHERE’s TIP?!?
NEVAMIND I SEE HIM.lmao
I’m not feeling the chess set. I won’t buy a $5 pic of Tupac and Biggie, why would I spend that kind of money on a chess set with their likeness?? Anyway, I like the stuff on her site. My only issue is with the “Lil Girls in Hats” … why do they look like they are in their 40/50s?? But there are some really cute things on her site.

Exactly. It’s cute, but how in the hell are you going to play an actual game of chess.
Just another trendy thing for folks who are borrowing from Peter to pay Paul to buy.
Sandra, I knew you were good for something
Perfect father’s day gift for my hubby. Very unique. To the youngins, you don’t actually play chess with it. It is a novelty piece. AHEM!
