My father was there in our home, but he wasn’t there for us. So I have little memories of him. There is no difference between a baby father and a father. Shame on you if you don’t acknowledge or show LOVE to your seed. RIP to my father.

I woke up this morning feeling like this….but everyday I look at my son growing and doing different things..i realize I’m blessed. I use to care about his father living less that 15 minutes away but will not pick him up…now it doesn’t matter. With all that I feel for this man (pity) I still allowed my son to call him this morning and wish him a Happy Father’s Day!! He didn’t answer the phone..nor has he called back. Soooo Happy Father’s Day to the women that a raising your babies by yourself….and to the men that are truly fathers to their seeds…..

I think this is a great thing. It shows that rappers can be more then just an image of thugs throwing money at girls, driving the benz’s and wearing a million dollars worth of jewelry.
A real man will always man up at the end of the day. I don’t care what their profession is. A sperm donor is just that, a donor, keep on steppin’. Woman should not complain about their choice in a mate when things go bad. You chose the man and had a child with him. The kid never had a voice/choice. If he does not pay child support that is your fault. His ass was probably broke when you got with him and your bright eyes saw potential. Get mad and look in the mirror. You did it, he only helped to contiune it. I am so sick of woman complaining about their lazy ass kids dads. It takes 2 to lay down. Close your damn legs, respect yourself or make him wear a condom. Live and learn and I hope all who have the time to complain take care of their kids and do not become grandmothers at an early age. Not cute. anna you are way out of line. You could have kept that barrage of negative energy. It takes a moment to conceive a child and a lifetime to raise, nurture, and love. It’s a tough job!!!
It is frustrating at times when one has to go it alone. But NOTHING is more painful then realizing that your child is missing out on the experience of a FATHER in their life. In the future I hope that we all can make better decisions but for those decisions that have already been made one can only pray that they do all that they can to help nurture better character traits in their children.
I’m Late … But Anywhoooo … I was a pretty lucky lil Girl .. My Grandmother and Grandfather raised me and my dad was around and is still alive @ 72 … Sooooo .. Happy Father’s day .. Daddy Walter Bethea .. and RIP Clarence Hardy. Love Ya.

#13, you have obviously had crystal clear judgement your entire judgemental life so KUDOS to you but there are those of us that live in the real world and have made bad calls from time to time. I was 25 when I had my son. I have an MBA and am nobody’s welfare recipient (so if you were speaking in the interest of your tax dollars, my situation does not concern you). Yesterday morning’s post was out of clear frustration toward a male who has yet to live up to OUR arrangements for our son that we worked out long ago. I think others will agree that everytime you “lay down” you are not doing so to get pregnant. Having sex with someone with whom you share a RELATIONSHIP is not disrespecting yourself. I have one child who is well taken care of and has a wonderful upbringing. He does not experience my frustrations with his father nor does he hear ANYTHING negative about him. I’m a great mother and an intelligent woman who, instead of aborting a miscalculation in judgement (though it was not evident at the time or in the immediate months that followed conception) chose to stand up and face MY responsibilty- and I’m doing it well. My post was not a complaint and he wasn’t broke. I was originally hellbent on not involving the legal system because 1)they were not present when I conceived and 2)when our relationship went south, we had an amicable arrangement for our son - who is in NO WAY a flea. I would take offense to your post if I somehow thought that every other random blog comment could impact my life in some way. I did feel the need to clear the air since I’m a faithful on this site. I hope you find peace with whatever is making you such a soldier for men who run and so critical of women MAN UP. Like you said so contradictarily, it takes TWO- for everything.
