WHY THEY DO T.I. LIKE THAT?

Last year was the first and last time I went to the HOT 107.9 Birthday Bash. That backstage area is what can only be described as controlled chaos. But this year the 13th Annual Birthday Bash went off without a hitch this weekend at the Philips Arena. Ignore those rumors of fights and gunplay (shootings) that occurred after the concert. None of that has been confirmed. But with this concert carrying the unlucky #13, you know there had to be drama. I heard a couple of rap artists got into it backstage (no, not T.I. or Shawty Lo). Then there was the above message proclaiming Shawty Lo the new King of the South.

I’m told Grand Hustle’s people weren’t too happy about HOT allowing that “new King” message to appear onstage. They felt it wasn’t fair to antagonize T.I. like that. You see, T.I. couldn’t so much as cough in Shawty Lo’s direction or he would violate the terms of his agreement with the feds and begin serving his 5 year bid.

Monica supported her fiance Rocko who also performed at the Birthday Bash on Saturday night.

Young Jeezy and Usher performed at the Birthday bash.

Jeezy brought his son out to the concert.

Jeezy also brought out the new flag that Barack Obama plans to replace the Stars and Stripes with if he takes office this November. You know Jeezy and Obama are roll dawgs.
