Jay Z being sued again
Jay Z is facing another lawsuit from employees of his 40/40 sports bar in Manhattan. Jay Z is listed as the “owner” of the 40/40 franchise until the lawsuits start pouring in - then he conveniently becomes just an investor.
Anyway, a class action lawsuit was filed today in a Manhattan court by 40/40 employees who say they are being forced to work under Third World conditions at the sports bar.
Employees of the Manhattan sports bar say that in addition to not paying them hourly wages, Jay Z forced them to work for tips from customers. The employees further state that their pay was docked for breakage, spillage and “walk outs”.
Former employees have also complained of intolerable working conditions such as no AC in the Summer and no heat in the Winter in an effort to cut costs during the hours when the bar is not open to the public.

Jay Z has I guess this how they stay rich…..
Jay is not as business savvy as people give him credit for. Like Diddy and 50 he basically makes his money off his name. He didn’t start 40/40 and then work his butt off to make it run properly. He started it and depends on his name to make it successful. Dame was the businessman and Jay was the artist. He is proving time and time again that he is not really great at running anything. He depends on others to do that and clearly the people he is allowing to run 40/40 are not good managers and will cost him money in the end for treating the employees like slaves.
I’m not sure why he’s the only person being named. He’s not the sole owner nor is he the only one who needs to be sued. The entire franchise needs to sued, if this is true. However this is not uncommon in restaurants. I co-sign with Bird 100%

Jay Z is not where he is today for making bad business decisions. He’s a Husler 1st and a genius.
He’s being sued partly because of his name. He’s not the sole owner. What makes people think he wasn’t paid to use his name. He can do that. People went to the Nets games to see Jay and Bey. In essence, if these allegations are true, then there needs to be some serious changes within the 40/40 Club.
We have to give credit where credit is due, he’s not a businessman…..he’s a business MAN!
In regards to Dame, do I need to say who makes better business decisions? Everytime we tune in….. Jay is closing a deal or making a deal. Billionaire Boys Club, here he comes. For those of you who thinks he makes bad business decisions……….please see below:

3. Jay Z owns Spotted Pig restaurant and he also bought the building.
4. Jay Z owns a portion of NJ Nets
5. Jay Z owns 50% of Rocafella records
6. Jay Z owns 50% of the company that manufactures Rocawear to date
7. Jay Z is paid $2 million per yr as Rocawear CEO
8. Jay Z was paid $3.3 million per yr as CEO of Def Jam
9. Jay Z owns part of Steve Stoute Translation company
10. Jay Z owns a part of Carol’s Daughter
11. Jay Z owns his publishing ( This brings a ton every yr)
12. Jay Z closed a deal with Live nation for 150 million
13. Jay Z sold Rocawear for 204 million
14. Lets not forget he also made 80 million in 2007.
On top of all that he gets money from RBK, Coke, Budweiser, HP and other stuff I don’t have time to research. LOL-You get the picture

karma is a bit./ch..i hope he goes broke down to his last penny and has to go back and actually work for a living. Nig/gas wanna get some money and act brand new like they don’t know how to treat people who are poor. Like his as.s wasn’t just poor not too long ago. And it doesn’t matter WHAT PERCENTAGE OF the club he owns…he should have known the conditions those people were working in..and if he knew and sat iddly by, or in anyway encouraged it and/or instituted it, then he deserves this d/amn lawsuit. Don’t make excuses for this broke down camel. No matter the extent of his involvement in the club, he should know the daily practices of that business.
Also, sometimes rich keep getting rich cause they take advantage of the poor. This is not uncommon. The poor get exploited and over worked, and this is what prompted law makers to make and put limitations on how low you can pay a employee…who the fu/ck is jayz that he think he don’t have to adhere to it. i guess we’ll find out.
WHY WOULD A PERSON IN THEIR RIGHT MIND EVEN ACCEPT A POSITION THAT SAYS YOU WILL ONLY GET PAID THROUGH YOUR TIPS (UNLESS IT’S A STRIPPER)????? How can your pay be docked when you claim you don’t receive hourly wages????
I honestly don’t believe it. No proper air conditioning is about the only thing I’ll believe!
