I was pretty shocked by how dark the child is. I was so shocked that until TMZ posted the pics of pics I really wasn’t sure that was Halle’s baby. I kinda expected her and Gabe to have children that looked like Quincey Jones’ daughter. If the child winds up with anything more curly than wavey hair then Gabe may want to get a blood test.

Halle has always declared herself as a Black woman with a White mother. She even stated that her mother told her as a child, I am White and you are Black and many people will have a problem with that. Her mother told her that them that they were her beautiful Black princesses (Halle has a older sister, Heidi Berry, who has a fairer complextion. Her father was an African-American man who was extremely abusive to her mother and deserted them when she was young. He re-entered their life only to try and pick up the same cycle of abuse. Halle admited yrs ago that this may have affected the choices of men in her life. She has happliy given birth a to what I’m sure is a beautiful little girl and that is all that matters. As Black people many of us like to complain about the manner in which the world chooses to view us and treat us. We do just as much damage to our own. Is it too much to look at the picture of Halle and her family without the negativity? This does not make any since. Sandra, why would you hate on that woman’s child. As long as the baby is healthy, it does not matter how light or dark she is?

to clarify, Halle self identifies as black, and her father was black meaning of African descent, no matter which company his ancestors’ slave ship stopped at, so Halle is half Black/African
