JustJared posted these first pics of Halle Berry’s baby, Nahla Ariela Aubry. We don’t get to see the baby’s face but what we do see has tongues wagging. Some say Halle Berry wanted a white or light skinned baby but ended up with a baby darker than herself.
From the rumors I’ve heard, Halle has no love for black men due to her bad experiences with them over the years. Halle, whose mother is white and father is Dominican, did not want a dark skinned baby to remind her of her painful past.
When she began dating Gabriel Aubry, she hurried up and got pregnant hoping to produce a blond haired blue eyed baby. Rumor has it that Halle is suffering from post-partum depression and her shape is going to pot as a result. To add insult to injury, her baby daddy spends more and more time on the east coast - away from his baby mama and daughter. We hope Halle gets herself together for her baby’s sake.

I doubt any of this is true, because all of the accusations being made would have had to come from a close source, and seeing how guarded she is with her baby I doubt if she would share that type of information with just anyone.
Anyone can speculate as to what your thinking….that’s what makes the story so unbelievable.
And anybody whose a mother, especially a first time mommy knows that most of the time you want to be the one caring for your child and all their needs-and if you are breast-feeding it’s even more demanding. If you are smart you will allow family/friends to help-but I know that for the first six months of my daughter’s life I was walking around like the living dead-nothing mattered but her-I did the bare minimum for myself bathing and getting dressed, and wanting to do everything all by myself eventually wore me down.
As a mother, you don’t worry about petty things such as rumors, your child’s skin tone, a man, or your shape-your just happy to have a healthy, happy, baby!

Its hard to juggel everything - I am sure hse has some type fo help though.
Being a full time parent coupled with working, going to school being in a committed relationship, etc. is a challenge. And this is to say even if she does appear a lil worn, I have seen recent pics of her and she looks great! Being a MOM is a beautiful thing … I know I love it and I am sure that Halle is enjoying life with her little one.

you are right brownsugga –postpartum is rather natural. My daughter is 9 1/2 months and the first 6 months I would just become overwhelmed with all sorts of emotions. As I stated is a trying and beautiful experience all at the same time. Having a support system truely makes a difference.

gurrrl my daughter thinks she is the ish ummm she might get that from me it took some time but we got her in all kinds of sports soccer, volleyball, basketball, etc. and she was bad at first just shy being the tallest girl in class and stuff so i started wearing 4 inch heels everyday to show her it is not your fault honey it is how God made you FLAUNT IT plus we sent her to a modeling class and all that good stuff so now she strutting around here like she on the catwalk daily!!! Also we live in Germany so all the women here are like 4′11 LOL

I seriously doubt this woman has a color complex. From everything I’ve ever heard her quoted as saying - she just wanted a healthy baby. And if she has no love for black men after bad treatment - then she is in a long line of sisters I know and is hardly alone in that thought.
Other sites have shown her happily showing off pics of her baby to people in stores, etc… so she seems happy. Come on Sandra - try and be happy for her.

No Kidding shes both , have you noticed it doesn’t matter if your parents are two different races , its about what you look like on the outside and accepted by. Hint Mariah Carey looks white but she is of both races, Alicia Keys looks black but she is of both races. Before we saw and heard about Halles mother she was considered one of the most beautiful black women and still is today even in white magazines, so I’ll continue to look at her that way. Halle was more accepted by blacks not whites as she grew up. My grandfather was Cuban, grandmother Black/Indian, Mom Cuban/Black/Indian, father Black/Indian and who knows what else because he has red/brown hair/mustache. Now I considered myself black because what I was more accepted by and what I look more like to myself, call me what you want but which would you call yourself if you have caramel skin, curly brown/red hair and light brown eyes- Cuban or Black? Things will always be looked at as black or white not other or none of your damn business. Yes we should move pass the color but how can you with on any type of application to this day they ask your race. Tell these people to get rid of it first becasue untill then, race will always be a subject. It will always continue when trying to get in a good school, a good job, House, car etc. Have you ever noticed when you go to a car lot before your credit is ran and your black , they take you to the used car lot section or now lets make a big deal over kids smoking cigarettes do you think its because blacks are smoking, hell my mom started smoking when she was 14 and kids were smoking when I was young it was not a problem because they were making money off us. that’s why I get a bit peeved when brothas who date outside of their race and put down black women-you want to know why? Because for the most part, black people accept everybody, mixed, white, other etc.
When I was growing up we had native americans, latino, asian, and white in our community. And we rarely had racial tension or issues and you want to know why because back then we were all poor to middle class families trying to make ends meet-we all played together, my grandfather even had a local baseball team with every nationality you could think of, me and my other siblings would travel with them to games and have cookouts and the team members houses etc.
My grandfather also played baseball with his job, predominantly white team but he was a very good ball player and really enjoyed the game-nobody ever treated us poorly or even different it wasnt an issue. if and when the other opposing team would lose a racial remark would be made and my grandfathers whole team would fight and defend us-yep surely did.
the race thing is more about economics then it is anything else, like you said when the governments stop asking your race on applications for jobs, schools, and loans to purchase a home, then and only then will we really make any progress. It’s about the have and have nots, the ones that have want to ensure that the have nots don’t get any-and they do that by prejudging you based on the color of your skin.
And another point, it aint nothing new to see a white person (especially a dope head) in our neighborhoods, and white girls aint just started coming to the hood to date black men, there were plenty of teen-age white girls sneaking to see black boys back in the day, my point in saying all of this black people can and usually are the most accepting and loving people-I don’t envy another race because I like everything about being black good and bad-we’ve overcome so many obstacles and gained so much success, in fact I think we are the most envied and copied.
LOL-and black men when you marry those white women who do you think teaches them how to cook, take care of their children’s hair, and how to deal with your trifling ways-we do your sister,aunts, cousins, mamas, and grandmas, so do us a favor stop pitting us against one another-it only increases racial tension and it’s already apparent we get enough of that from outsiders, we don’t need it from one of own.

Most of the time when I was typing you and others were probably typing at the same time because I could have sworn I was before you but what I meant was other people on this site down other brothers before they find out the truth but its ok for Halle a woman to do it because we know her background which makes it ok. Take Dennis Rodman he dated lots of white women and people put him down, if you listen to his story why he choose to date white women is because black women treated him very bogus but black women said he was still wrong there are still good black women in this world he just chose the wrong ones to talk too. If we take a look at who Halle dated you can tell she liked bad boys which most women do and thats why majority of their relationships end up with bad memories. I took don’t like it when Black brothers date outside their race because believe me they are in for trouble, because if they get a divorce the judge hands her damn near his whole life, but if a sista gets a divorce from a brotha she gets what seems like a quarter. I stick to what I say about black men dating outside their race and feel no different about black women. There are still good black men out there we don’t want to take the time to look for them and sometimes they are right in front of us and we pass them by. we look at them like gumps. to clarify, Halle self identifies as black, and her father was black meaning of African descent, no matter which company his ancestors’ slave ship stopped at, so Halle is half Black/African
Halle has always declared herself as a Black woman with a White mother. She even stated that her mother told her as a child, I am White and you are Black and many people will have a problem with that. Her mother told her that them that they were her beautiful Black princesses (Halle has a older sister, Heidi Berry, who has a fairer complextion. Her father was an African-American man who was extremely abusive to her mother and deserted them when she was young. He re-entered their life only to try and pick up the same cycle of abuse. Halle admited yrs ago that this may have affected the choices of men in her life. She has happliy given birth a to what I’m sure is a beautiful little girl and that is all that matters. As Black people many of us like to complain about the manner in which the world chooses to view us and treat us. We do just as much damage to our own. Is it too much to look at the picture of Halle and her family without the negativity? This does not make any since. Sandra, why would you hate on that woman’s child. As long as the baby is healthy, it does not matter how light or dark she is?
I was pretty shocked by how dark the child is. I was so shocked that until TMZ posted the pics of pics I really wasn’t sure that was Halle’s baby. I kinda expected her and Gabe to have children that looked like Quincey Jones’ daughter. If the child winds up with anything more curly than wavey hair then Gabe may want to get a blood test.
