As far as women in the industry, if you don't look as commercial as possible then trust that you won't put up big numbers, talent or not!(i.e., Angie Stone, India Arie) I'm just saying that we all know everybody isn't attractive per se, but you have to know how to work with what you got. The overwhelming majority of people here believe that Jay-Z is an unattractive man -- so-called swagger and money, notwithstanding. I have no problem commenting on his looks because I think it points out a double standard in the industry -- a woman of similar talent and looks would NEVER make it as far. Almost every rapper out today is NOT attractive! (based purely on looks) Everyone is entitled to his or her opinion. The overwhelming majority of people here believe that Jay-Z is an unattractive man — so-called swagger and money, notwithstanding.

I have no problem commenting on his looks because I think it points out a double standard in the industry — a woman of similar talent and looks would NEVER make it as far.
