Miami’s baddest chick Trina recently shot a video for her new single, “Look Back At Me” Feat. Killa Mike in Miami. By the way, who is that model behind Trina (see arrow)? She is hawt. I’d love to do a Morning Glory post on her. We need more models like her in music videos so we can start watching BET again.

Sweetie, I’m from Miami. I know plenty about Trina. She is not relevant in the rap game. I cant find one rapper who actually respects what she spits. When people mention Trina, the word “ass” usually follows. No one I know is checkin for her like that. Maybe because we’re classy adults.
Just because her record company bought & gave out ur album at the club doesnt mean u really went platinum. I dont have the album because I prefer to buy [what I consider] quality music. Trina sucks, her voice is so annoying and it still amazes me that she’s still pushing albums. That girl could never live up to real female rap artist. Like Mochamommy said when anybody mentions Trina it is NEVER because of her lyrics. She’s trash and doesn’t compare to real rap chicks like Lauryn Hill or MC Lyte.

Trina has One Platinum and Two Gold Albums…(all the others didnt sell that many). So, in the rap game; that is considered a pretty successful career and she is staying paid. I havent heard about her having to sell her house or loose none of her assets over the years. (correct me if im wrong) Im not sure how many copies she has sold for the new album or how many her record company has bought to throw out there for numbers or how long it will take her to go gold or platinum but, I do know that in her world and with her goals, she considers herself happy and successful.
No, she wont be invited to do major shows out of the country like many of the R&B chicks who can generate larger audiences and her lyrics are nothing to go write a memoir over but, for what she does, she is cool. Being everywhere from Texas to Cali, I dont really hear a lot of hype about her and at going on 29, Im not trying to bump that type of music in my grown woman ears but, I cant hate on chick…. there is an audience out there for her and thats who she makes her music for.

My opinion is strickly based on what I choose to put in my head by way of my ears. Although I listen to some rap, I can’t listen to any of her music in front of my children and I wouldn’t approve of my children listening to her music. Your life reflects what you fill yourself with. If I have a choice, which I do, I would opt for an empowering jam over Trina rapping about a man eating her out while she is on her period ANY GIVEN DAY. That is pretty repulsive and vulgar. I can’t think of any woman in my circle that would support that on a t-shirt. The image she wants to portray is not one that I, myself, can associate with. “Pickles in the middle” is child’s play. “If he ain’t payin’, I ain’t layin’” –if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck—- prostitution comes to mind for some reason.
