A nanny pursues Nano Kwadjo Hayes, the 2-year-old son of Isaac Hayes, outside the singer’s home in Cordova, Tennessee. The soul legend died of a stroke on Sunday, August 10. He was found by his wife Adjowa after he collapsed near a treadmill at his home.
A memorial for Hayes’ will be held at Hope Presbyterian Church, 850 Walnut Grove, Cordova, Tennessee from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
To celebrate Mr. Hayes’ constant support of the Stax Music Academy and his Stax Records Legacy, the Hayes family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to the Stax Music Academy in Memphis, made out to Soulsville, 926 E. McLemore Avenue, Memphis, TN 38106. Please specify “In memory of Isaac Hayes.”
