Mo’Nique arrives at her Evening with Mo’Nique show at Seldom Blues in Detroit on Friday. Have you ever noticed when a big girl loses weight she also loses that quality that made her so attractive? I have rarely ever seen an unattractive big girl. It’s a pleasure being around big women who are confident and happy with themselves. It’s those chicks who obsess about losing weight so they can look like a “supermodel” that are a pain in the butt.

Talk show host Ellen DeGeneres and her longtime girlfriend, actress Portia de Rossi tied the knot on the grounds of their lavish estate in Beverly Hills yesterday. These grainy pics look like they were shot from a mile away through a Superzoom telephoto lens. But even from a distance you can see the glow on their faces. Congrats to the happy couple!

1. Can you believe Jeremy Suarez is 18? I can’t. I got a funny feeling Bernie would care less about Camille’s capris or knees. Kellita is a brick house. I want to be like her when I grow down.

Camille knees are NOT ashy I saw pics on another site and I think it was the light from the sun. I believe Monique had her stomach stapled or the lap-band surgery which isnt bad, I had friends who have had the quick procedure.

Not hating on the big girls but Monique was never attractive, there’s noting attractive about being over weight..I don’t think most women like her are neccasarily happy to be fat it’s more of “I’m fat and I’m just going to be fat and accept it” kind of attitide..I’ve always had issues with Monique and her ignorant veiws in regards to weight, especially when she starts tearing down skinny women and saying shyt like “you know black women were raised on chicken, patatoes, and cornbread” and we were but that’s also the same type of food that’s killing African Americans every year..But I am happy to see that she has lost weight and hope that she will continue to do so.

I don’t think being a size two is fortunate. In the real world a size 4 is ultra thin and you don’t even see a hint of curves until size 6. In my opinion a perfect size is 8. It’s still small, but you can see SOME curves. My butt disappears under size 10 and I ain’t feeling that. So to hell with Hollywood. I want a sexy womanly body, not one of a teenaged boy.

I doubt every couple that has a big wedding gets divorced, but I’m with you. If I ever do get married my plan is for it to be in my small family church in NJ and the reception will be in my deceased grandfather’s back yard and the food will be prepared by friends and family. I just prefer family over flash and I wouldn’t dream of going into debt for a wedding.

I believe this. I got married by the Justice Of The Peace in 1997. The same summer after I got married I attended 4 weddings (beautiful weddings with water falls and endless bridesmaids and groomsmen). My husband and I are the only couple married. Most of the marriages lasted longer only becaue of the hold up of the divorce. (all of the marriages did not last 18 months).
-Everyone looked nice at the funeral sandra. Thos kids grow up so fast…..seems like it just yesterday……
-So happy for Ellen. congrats to them.

-As for monique, glad to see her looking good. You know she has those twins, and its right for her to get healthy, not only for herself, but for them. I think she looks great.

Mo is a TALL woman - at least 5 ft. 8. And that is a conservative estimate. I saw her at a book signing in Houston and she was a large woman all around.

^^^ i don’t think it matters how big the wedding is. it’s the people involved that are willing to make the marriage work that makes the difference. i have seen people go to the courthouse and they still have gotten divorced.
I guess the problem is, it’s usually the woman who wants a wedding and forgets it comes with a husband. Some just want a husband to say they have a husband or to say “I am married”. Honestly, marriage is another job. If you don’t work at it, you will be fired or want to fire. If one takes the time to get to know their spouse it does make the job much easier.

We’re –> <– except for the ring part. I want my rock. I want it so bad that I told my ex fiance that I didn’t care if he got it from the pawn shop or a crack head, but I want at least 2 carats. Still I don’t want to go into debt over that either. If a couple is still paying off the engagement ring well into the marraige then in truth the man didn’t buy it.
