Legendary rapper Tupac Shakur once said, “bury me a G.” But this deceased OG had other plans for his burial. I guess it can be said that this OG never took anything lying down. He was a stand up kinda guy.

I know his mother respected his wishes and had him standing up…but in her living room!?!?!?!…I wonder if she was staying (sleeping) there while he was in the living room standing up!! I know the dead can’t do anything to you but that just gives me a eerie feeling!! I’m not sure I could have my relative standing in my home…deceased!
Man when I was around 4 or 5 I went to a relative’s funeral and I was terrified! I remember my Great Grandma Lena Jones (may God rest her soul) told me that I should be afraid of the living and not the dead. All I have to say is if I would have walked up in that living room and seen ole boy propped up against the wall, well you would have just put a diaper on me cuz I would have messed all over myself tryna get on up out that place. I am all for honoring people’s last wishes but some things just go to far.

I would be freaking out if I walked in a room and saw this.. and this is not in a funeral home, this is at someone’s HOUSE!!! Who leaves dead people standing in their home, next to the kitchen of all places!

Puerto Rico corpse kept upright for 3-day wake
A Puerto Rican man has been granted his wish to remain standing — even in death.
A funeral home used a special embalming treatment to keep the corpse of 24-year-old Angel Pantoja Medina standing upright for his three-day wake.
Dressed in a Yankees baseball cap and sunglasses, Pantoja was mourned by relatives while propped upright in his mother’s living room.
His brother Carlos told the El Nuevo Dia newspaper the victim had long said he wanted to be upright for his own wake: ‘He wanted to be happy, standing.’
The owner of the Marin Funeral Home, Damaris Marin, told The Associated Press the mother asked him to fulfill her dead son’s last wish.
Pantoja was found dead Friday underneath a bridge in San Juan and buried Monday. Police are investigating.

He reminds me of one of those life size dolls I use to play with as a child…you know the ones that when you go to your great grandma’s house she still has it and it scares the sh*T out of you now. NE Way, I know it seems a little off. But my daddy is from a culture (He’s from Baton Rouge LA) where deceased relatives remain in the house for at least one night. It is said to give the spirit the chance to get comfortable in the home, so that they will always be around for protection. (OMG: what happens if someone knocks him over)

Whoa buddy! Detroit… I’m latina and my family, nor anyone I know, has yet to hold a wake up in their house. And I come from a LARGE fam, we’ve buried a whole heck of a lotta people, but we head the funeral home. We got the Ortiz Family Funeral Home number on speed dial… we don’t play that. Unfair generalization I think.

let’s just say the second i would have walked thru the door i would have passed out dead ..they would have had to put me in the casket…..
i saw this earlier and my soul just didn’t understand. i could not walk into a funeral, wake or anything and see a dead body like this, no disrespect.

I don’t mean any disrespect, but he look tied as hell standing there for 3 days, even though i know he’s dead…I’m glad he didn’t request to sit with the family for the last meal, cause they’d have probly propped him in a chair at the dinner table too… This seems sacriligious and just plain wrong! You can’t honor everything, even if it’s the person wishes…he would have just had to beat my azz in our next life cause i wouldn’t have done it.
