The track is titled “Captive” and it was ghost written by Chris Brown for the Pussy Cat Dolls. I have so many questions: why did Chris Brown himself record the track if it was intended for the PCD? Obviously this is a finished track and not a demo. So by recording the track was Chris Brown acting out some secret down low fantasy?
Is this Chris’ way of kicking open the closet door with a bold and daring statement? And does Rihanna understand that she will now and forever be known as Chris Brown’s beard? Heyyyyyyyyy!

Come on Sandra… Broaden your imagination… When you start the song from the beginning he clearly states PCD. Which to me INDICATES he wrote it for them, and recorded it so they could HEAR it… I mean, I know the industry is full of DL brothers, but not everybody…
I don’t know much about the recording industry, but on Making the Band when the boys first listened to tracks they were to record they already had vocals on them. I assume this is done so they know what the vocals are supposed to sound like.

SANDRA SANDRA SANDRA!!!! WOOOOW U R SOOOO not up to date on how the industry works! When a writer writes a song, whether it is a male or female song, the writer typically goes and records it just to display how the songs goes. Sandra, you are so out of tune and out of the loop!!

he’s not..im glad some other people realize that too. when writers write (and they’re singing the song for demo purposes), it’s notthing for them to sing every word for the artist in which it’s intended.
Maybe he recorded so the PCD’s could hear how it should sound

I didn’t even listen to the track yet but I’m sure you know when you submit a track to an artist or group it’s pretty much a finished product so they can get a feel for what it will sound like. What exactly does a “demo” sound like? I see that JustMe1 stated that he says PCD in the song….don’t be sarcastic.
P.S. guys Sandra KNOWS how this works because we ALL KNOW she watched her FAVORITE CELEB’S (Monica) show on her finding a single and the GUY (Adonis) recorded the WHOLE song for MONICA and even said things like “I must be the world’s strongest woman”….is he on the DL too Sandra? yall are correct, how does the artist know how the song is supposed to be sang if there isnt someone to sing the song for them ? its a slow news day, i got news that would help things out.

This would be called a “reference”, not a demo. It is used so that the artists that actually records the song for their cd knows what key the song is supposed to be song in, the melody and where the ad libs are supposed to go.

Sandra U might be right on the money wit this one! I work in entertainment and I know a thing or 2 about songwriting! I know for a fact that song writers do lay “references” for another artist to catch the melody,to a song that they didn’t write! and Chris brown is a young songwriter,BUT he works with top producers and engineers and they would have told him not to sing the record!! I know a TOP song writer who uses women singers to lay his references for songs written for female artists!!! AND “References” normally don’t leak!! The PCD would never put this out especialy if this is a album cut!……My theory.. is that this is a leak from his camp with a message attached!!!
