I have a friend who is use to be LARGE. She had the gastro bypass. She said when she was big…she “KEPT a MAN” and all the abuse that came with it…because she didn’t know when the next one was coming.

But for the record the ability to keep a man has nothing to do with weight. If big girls really had that on locked….skinny girls would be busting down the doors at the GOLDEN CORRAL.

What kind of big girls do y’all know? I am a size 14 and you can’t tell me nothing. lol And FYI Terry…I am very healthy and all of my thick friends work out or are very active. I don’t drink and don’t smoke. Actually now that I think about it I live a healthier lifestyle than some of my “thin” friends. @MOCHAMOMMY…e’erbody and they mama be on Maury. Thick, thin, ghetto, trailerpark…it’s not limited to big girls. Maury has more to do with triflin’ men than it does a particular size women.

There are plenty of big women out there that have good men that claim them and love them regardless of how they look. I don’t care about the aesthetics, just as long as you are healthy and trying to stay that way. I lost two of my family members to gastrointestinal cancers and what hurts the most is now we know that they might be linked to bad diet.

I think monique is beautiful regardless of weight. I have seen gorgeous big girls and ugly skinny girls and vice versa. My only request for sisters is to stay healthy and take care of your bodies so you can live long healthy and prosperous lives. Being too skinny or too fat is never good.

I like the physiques on these olympic track and fielders though.

Trust and believe me men are going to be men regardless if you are big, tall, fat, skinny, light, black, shape or no shape. They will dog you out and cheat on you either way it goes. Oh!! as far as the dereon line, that $hit is terrible…i attended local and national shoe shows, along w/ some markets (for clothes, i luv americas mart in atl) and i’m always shocked at that crap…i luv me some some bey, but they really do need to revamp that line…in terms or urban female stuff, kimora got is on lock baby!

I’m a big girl, proud of it, I am healthy (I can run a mile and half in under 15 minutes, and do plenty of push-ups and sit-ups in a designated timeframe as per US Navy Physical Fitness Assessment Tests.) And I have been doing this for the past 12 years. I am a voluptouous woman serving in the US military and have been serving for 12 years! I can get pretty much any man that I set my sights on and babe I even get a few that I didn’t! I am not always one for science but this is one thing that has so much research behind it and is indiscriminate. If you are obese, you are unhealthy. Point blank period. If it weren’t true, the number of obesity related deaths wouldn’t be an issue.

It’s not the “fat” that necessarily kills you. It’s the diet that you maintain that kills you. You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to know that eating at McDonald’s and Wendy’s (not opting for salads) will get your azz in trouble.

My boyfriend’s diet through the years was horrible. Even with me cooking healthy, he would find ways to eat crap knowing I was biting my tongue and not wanting to fight. His cholesterol levels are ASTRONOMICAL and I don’t mean the good cholesterol. That’s low.

AGAIN, be happy love yourself, all that good stuff, but do NOT kid yourself.

Actually .. I’ll say a lil more .. I am 5’10 a size 14 considered to be a “big” girl …my man played european football and has abs that are out of this world. My confidence got him and kept him for over 5 yrs ..(I ended it by the way)

My blood sugar avg 90-95 (i test it because I don’t want to have an issue)

My BAD cholesterol is 130 (i give blood on a reg and they test it)

Blood presssure is usually 65/110 … kinda low .. cause i USUALLY say what’s on my mind .. I don’t hold anything in.

Went to see Jill Scott at chastain and pulled a young lil thang who thought I was 10 yrs younger than I actually am.
