New Music: Michelle Williams – Unexpected
Michelle Williams leaked a new track titled “Unexpected”. This is an example of that garbage techno-pop fruity loops music that producer Bryan-Michael Cox gave Monica to record over last night on the premiere of her show The Single: Monica.
And to those few Mo fans who emailed me talking sh*t this morning: eat a fan one and grow up!
I realize urban artists are desperate to cross over – but why they are desperate to cross over, I have no clue. Those people who they are desperate to reach did not get our artists to where they are today.
But it is garbage like this track that makes it harder for real artists to get put on. We need to go back to real R&B like it used to be with real music, not this digital crap.

I didnt know it was that serious for people to email SR about Monica! Dang! let the girl do her. leave her alone so that she can finish her album we dont want to hear another apology from monica. I just want to hear the album! and SR I agree but however with rapdily decrease in R&B sales alot of those artist seek to find success in the POP world, as its not easy as you can see KEllY ROWLAND & MICHELLE tried. But its very easy for POP stars to cross over i.e Justin Timberlake. Im too sick of bubblegum r&b thats why I listen to my MP3 player you cant even listen to satelite radio anymore because they also play that bubblegum ish…

I don’t think this style of music suits her voice. Pop music is just what’s selling right now. I remember when Justin came out with his first cd he really tried to do R&B, because that’s what was hot at the time. The problem with everyone going pop is not everyone has the image for it. Michelle and Kelly are two great examples.
