Please stop emailing me that bogus story about Rihanna put out by a disgruntled former employee. Rihanna is far from broke. And even if she was, she STILL has more money than some of us ever will..
RiRi is living large, traveling the world, eating at the finest restaurants and wearing the finest threads and Louis Vuitton bags that money can buy.
If that’s broke then give me the number of her former accountant so I can hire her and be broke too! Come on, people, let’s rise above these petty jealous rumor mongers who have no lives. We’re better than this.

The story seemed bogus but we really don’t know what her portfolio or bank accts look like. How many people appear fly on the outside and are struggling behing closed doors?
I believe it, look what happen to TLC and many others. Most of the stuff you see her wearing is free. Lets not forget the most important factor here; riri has as much talent as an dying ant that’s why the CD did not do great even in the era of Umbrella. The different accounts stated in the article is typical record business dealings. You ask any new artist any artist in that case and they will say the same thing, you sign a deal, you produce your album with the advancements they have given you, when, only when you sell and sell great, not good will you make a profit. Yes riri sold singles good but the overall album is still considered a flop. You take in consideration all the money that is coming out of your pockets with people like?

She has money TODAY! But will she tomorrow?? She does seem like a woman about her paper, BUT this music business is not cutting it for her. She has the looks, BUT not the talent to drive people to the stores to purchase her music instead of from the bootleggers on the corners. I haven’t bought ANY of her CD’s but I have purchased 2-3 singles off i-tunes.
Am I the only one who don’t fnd this story to be UNBELEIVABLE. Her singles do better than her entire album she’s a single “artist” that’s all. Sh$t this explains why she looked so upset in them dirty jean shorts in the previous post yesterday just sayin
she hasnt been in the bidness long enough to have 10′s of millions of dollars. she hasnt had the number one hits or the double platinum cds to have amassed a huge fortune. just because the record company advances you some cash, doesnt mean it your cash you have to repay them back.
also all her people are pd by her. being a recording artist is like running a small bidness. they give you 2 million to make a cd and out of that cash you put your project together. at this stage of her career she has to make her money off of endorsements and touring.
arthea frankin and other old school stars will tell you they never made money off of recording contract they made there money off of touring. that why old school artist do 200 shows a yr. we can tell riri spend all her money on shopping so if she had an huge amount, the mall would have it anyways. lol
Let’s add this, her touring sold about what after taxes, paying promotion, dancers, stage lighting and special affects, make-up, the true singers in the band (back-up singers)and so on to put on a show and most of her touring was as an opening act so that brings it down more to maybe she made lets give some credit about $100,000 for all tours her’s included. The reloaded CD has yet to sell 500,000 copies yet since coming out Rihanna is a big balloon you can blow all day long but when you release it the air comes out. She needed this wake up call she was getting to be a bit diva acting without the talent to back it up.

The story is believable because anybody could go broke without proper money management, but there is no source to this story. It just came out of nowhere which makes me not believe it.

Rihanna is young,foreign and naive and with all the ruthless vultures in the industry it wouldn’t surprise me if she was being exploited by her label or management. She doesn’t write or produce so in the long term she’s already lost out. Jayz will be collecting publishing checks on Umbrella long after her career is over.

What brand is She?
Her Endorsements don’t count because you have to sale a certain amount before you make any money off them. She may have gotten one big lump sum from each endorsement when the contract was signed but in her case she is still not a major diva so that money was not big.

The endorsement money is going along with paying them taxes and so on; you know the stuff mentioned before. It’s possible for her too be broke but not flat out broke. Whether you like it or not she is just a pretty picture.

I don’t think she’s broke, i just don’t think she has as much money as she thinks she does. Rih doesn’t have Beyonce money. She’s constantly on vacation, always shopping. While she’s pretty popular, it doesn’t equate to $$$. Look at some of our fave artist who went bankrupt. She’s not originally from teh states, so who’s to even say she fully understands her deal….we all know about those fine print. And given that she’s not from the states, and may not be familiar with state’s finances, and being that i’m from the carribbean, people will be quick to sign something all because it pays alot more than what they have at the moment. I don’t know how believable da story is, but I don’t think she’s as loaded as she thinks she is.

Correct she doesn’t have Beyonce money but she is not broke..as others have said..do not rely on her music..artists make money off of endorsements, publishing and ticket sales..her endorsements outweigh everything she is doing in music right now..bury the rumor

i know you are a huge fan but come back to the real world. she is not that big of a star. the number dont lie. she doesnt write songs play instruments or produce or arrange music. all the money she gets is from touring. if you think shes rolling in money, you need to understand shes not.
if the endorsements are just giving you some change and all the shoes and hand bags you want isnt money and you cant pay the rent with a shoe. she is a young artist and i dont expect her to be rolling in cash, but there are tons of other people who came before her and didnt understand the music industry is a business and when you dont produce you are gone.

I wrote about the rumor and like I said there I don’t know if it’s true but it wouldn’t surprise me. She has no talent. None. She sucks as a singer and performer. She relies on her looks. Her endorsements aren’t even all that great. Covergirl uses other models and actresses to sell their products before they use her. She may not be broke broke but if you know the industry it’s not all that far fetched. Look at what they did to teiarra mari.
