i think takeover was a better song because it spoke to how people where feeling about him at the time. the one hot album every 10 years and it was more personal’ i showed you your first tec when u was on tour with large professor then u got your album about your tec on your dresser’ ether was more of a comedic diss song, u ugly u gay blah blah while i like the song i think lyrically speaking takeover was a better breakdown of nas career than ether which just talked about him

I actually have this entire interview on tape. Angie had people call the Hot 97 studio to vote on who’s song was the best & of course Nas slaughtered Jay-Z. This was my favorite moment in hip-hop. After Nas victory was announced Jay came to the studio & was interviewed by Ang & he sounded like a stuttering, tongue tied big lip fool. It was priceless!
