I’m glad I missed the VMAs this year. I couldn’t listen past the 46 sec. mark of this horrid video. Kanye’s straining pipes gave me a headache. What happened to him? He used to be so talented. Now he can’t carry Usher’s water bottle in the studio.
I am not looking forward to Kanye West’s new CD due out around the same time in December that the other wack rapper, Jay Z’s coaster is due to flop, er, I mean drop.

recently i saw some pics of kanye n he looked terrible. he had gained weight, hadn’t shaved or gotten a hair cut. i was almost hoping that this new look was 4 a movie role or something.
i didn’t c the awards but hopefully he was just having a bad night (unkess u r exaggerating 2 begin with). regardless of whats he is going through, im sure he will deliver another great album. music is great therapy for some people. he can fall off n will still b better than the BS thats being played these days.
GM! sr family! Sandra, That was the highlight of the show, Kanye giving the people something NEW I like it!!! and I cant wait for his new album to drop once again he will prove all the naysayers wrong again!!!
Kanye was a snoozefest. That song he “sang” kept saying the same thing over and over. Boo.
i never ever “took” to kanye. i don’t know why. and i am one of the biggest rap/hip-hop heads that i know. it is rare that someone as talented as he is as a writer and producer, is not an entertaining artist. but in my opinion he SUCKS as an artist. he doesn’t dance, and the material he does for himself is not as good as the material he cranks out for others.
i just don’t like him. i hate sitting around waiting for somebody to FAIL it just feels wrong. but i admit i am a little gleeful to see kanye fall off recently.
i guess since he feels he is a big superstar he could step into another “space” , as 50 would call it. he sound horrid. i am not knocking him for trying maybe it will grow on me. i also believe he is still in mourning.
he’s artistic. i respect him taking a chance and trying to enhance his talents. it wasn’t THAT bad.

i agree with cocoa 100%… but that mess was hard to listen to. I love Kanye and always have, but that pile of garbage last night did not make me excited AT ALL for the new album.
Kanye is highly talented, and I liked/got the last three albums.
However….and I’m gonna say this one time, applying to all rappers:

But I still liked it.
The only way to watch almost any awards show these days is on DVR!!…I started watching it on fast forward a little after 11 and was able to catch up to Kanye’s “finale”. I’m still scratching my head about that performance. Not that it was that bad..I just wasn’t expecting that…It definitely was different. I blame T-Pain for gassing these “rappers” into thinking they can sing anything more a hook. Cut it out already.

Maybe I’m being biased because I’m from Chicago, but I liked the song. The beat was hot and I bet when they play the studio version on the radio it’ll be a hit.

The host sucked! Jamie foxx and Jordan sparks should’ve been the host. The were spunky and upbeat. That host kept talking about those lame, boring Jonas Brothers.
I liked it it’s different from Kanye, I love, love Broad-minded people, they are always the most intelligent and succesful, as Kanye is. It’s hard to hold him down because he doesn’t have a gameplan and you don’t know in which direction he might go.

I fell asleep and didnt see his performance, but am still a HUGE FAN!!! and cant wait for his new cd. All three of his cd’s were dayum good, and I’m sure the next one will be even better.
He’s still a ****y azz lil mofo, but his music does hit.
I kinda like it. I applaud him for trying to do something we weren’t expecting from him. No he can’t sing, but he tried….I guess.

I liked it. He didnt sound terrible. There are artists that are actual SINGERS that dont sound as good as he did live. As it was playing, my work phone rang and I was into my call, but still had my earpiece in listening. I was bobbing my head to the song and once I got off the phone was humming the song.
Go Kanye, although I wouldnt suggest he make an entire cd with just him singing, I’ll let this one slide. Kanye is the man.
This man buried his momma this year. That was his heart and his best friend. He is keeping it together without evidence of drugs and alcohol. Imma say Kanye gets a pass and a subliminal hug from me. I cant say that I would still be standing…and neither can anyone else.
