In other news the cowboy finally won a game on lambeau field against green bay!!!
I made the decision that if I didn’t like anything about the video, I wouldn’t comment, but low and behold I liked it. I really love the instrumental at the beginning and the way the video was shot. I was also feeling the Talib jack on the hook. Rocko was good for me this time around. I’ll let him slide for way over doing it with the Gucci-wear.

Seeds is not a derogatory term nor is it new. I’m from Jersey and 5 percenters have been referring to their children as seeds since I was a teenager a million years ago. You referred to them as jewels which is even more far off from what they actually are than seeds is.

i am chalking this up to another “typical” rap video. it has all of the elements there. a flashy car, the standard pool hall scene, the barber shop scene, an intro in the pj’s, and the infamous “get money/count money sequence.”
like i said on my post about ll cool j. rap/hip hop as we all who are 30+ knew it is DEAD. if this keeps up i am going to write an obit for it. while i am at it i will write one for his rap career too. he will be on the next vh1 special for one hit wonders.
his wiki page say he is doing other things so much success on future non-music endeavors.

pointhimout- Are you serious? Clearly, you just don’t know the history of the word. In fact, before a lot of these people like Rocko were using the word, it was used by folks like the Five Percent Nation.
A jewel has value because man has decided that. A seed grows in to a tree or a plant: something that is life-giving and grows more and more beautiful. Essentially, a jewel is just a shiny pretty thing. It doesn’t provide oxygen or fruit and continued life.

I see there is no need for me to explain as Sister Toldja and Candycane have already told you the orign and meaning of the term. It has never had a negative meaning and can’t be compared to the n-word. Yes, it is slang, but not a bad slang term. I can understand you just not liking slang, but this one is not that serious. I myself hate when children are referred to as kids, but it is not a soapbox issue for me. To each his own.

Damn, he released the album back in March and he’s trying to release another single.. So sad, hopefully his production will do better.
