Obama Seeks to Block Another Ad
I see that Sen. Barack Obama’s camp is, once again, attempting to trample upon the First Amendment rights to free speech. Politico.com reports that Obama’s camp reached out to TV stations in Ohio and Pennsylvania yesterday to block the airing of a National Rifle Association ad.
This makes, what… the 2nd or 3rd ad Obama has asked TV stations not to run — and he’s not even president yet?
This is an alarming trend. IF Obama is elected president, will he exert Orwellian control over TV stations to suppress programming that he feels puts him in a bad light? It’s called censorship any way you look at it.

The first amendment though is nice one, but people don’t seem to really get it.It doesn’t really give you the freedom to just say anything really.If that’s what people think they need to read those amendments again.Those amendments are rights and those rights are privileges that can taken away by civil action.Just a lil something I picked up in my Pols class.

i listen to talk radio sometimes and all the negative information they get on obama is from black blogs as they say. they will say black female blogger says this or black male blog web site say this. and this is coming from his own people, if they dont like him should we. i would feel like a used tissue
I pride myself on being a pretty resonable person. That being typed, I find this post quite biased. It’s unfair to report a half story about media censorship, and why criticize one person for doing something that the whole of Washington does and has been doing since TV was invented. the media has been HEAVLIY censored by the Bush administration. Esp with the war and economy coverage. i.e. how many news reports have you seen showing couffin after couffin of fall’n soliders “returning” home? None.
Rather censorship of someone who ain’t me then to have someone who AIN’T me tell me what to do with my body….

I always hoped it would be after my time, but now with us losing our status as the “dominant” country and cameras on every street, phone companies being wired tapped illegally….I started to wonder if it’s coming soon…with our current status America could decide to join with another country and that could the beginning…all in all…I hope not!

Obama has recognized the Lord before….mainly during the time when he was criticized for his pastors words. But he has stated that he is a Christian and not a muslim….

I said I wasn’t gonna say anymore but….Obama does not support homosexuality. He does not bash them though. Who are we to judge. He does not support gay marriage but he does not bash it. There are PLENTY of Christians that state they are Christians or whatever religion one may be, but yet some lie, some cheat, some steal, some aren’t against abortion, some aren’t against gay marriage, some have pre-marital sex, and the list goes on. All the while they may still be on their path to being a better person and trying to get closer to GOD. This is why I don’t knock others because I feel like I am VERY close to GOD, but I know I am not perfect. So he may not agree with it, but it may not be to the point where he bans it for everyone. If he didn’t agree with it but didn’t ban it people would wonder what his purpose of stating that he didn’t agree with it was and call him a hypocrite…which isn’t exactly true. You can not agree with something but not have it to the extent where you ban it for all of the country. I HATE cigarettes…and if I had the power I would BAN them…but in reality do you know how many people would be ticked off/going crazy?
