Tasha Responds

A person calling herself “Natasha” responded today by email to my earlier post about child exploitation on Myspace. I received information that Tasha was the parent of one of the little girls seen cursing excessively in a controversial video uploaded on YouTube, WorldStarHipHop and other video outlets.

Natasha claims to be the child’s godmother and denied having any knowledge about the video. She also states her goddaughter’s Myspace page — which was deleted on Friday — was intended to promote the child’s modeling career.

Photos plastered all over the little girl’s Myspace page were watermarked with the URL to Natasha’s private page. It’s ironic that Natasha’s page is marked private while the children’s pages are accessible to the public.

Does she even understand that Myspace is prohibited to children?

Here’s her email:

This natasha and the 7 yr old little girl in the video is my god daughter! We had NO IDEA about the videos!!! That was done by a MINOR and that situation has been taken care of! The kids parents also had NOOO KNOWLEDGE of this video WHAT SO EVER!! I have already emailed you about this once from email address allaboutpooh17@aol.com. My 7 yr old god daughter HAD a myspace pg to help promote a modeling carreer it is was strictly business nothing more. As for the pictures of the other children I HAVE NO RESPONSIBLITY FOR THAT!! I don’t even know how I got connected to that. But I am seeing a lawyer in reference to these false accusations!

she is a hot ghetto mess. You do not use Myspace for a modeling career. I don’t think Ford or Elite Models uses Myspace as a source for new talent.
You go to a photographer and get head shots of the kid (headshots as in take a photo from the neck up and not the headshots you probably are thinking of). You also can go to casting calls. No where do companies go around looking for fresh kids with bootie shots on the internet, they actually like kids the cute and innocent types. You also don’t see black kids on TV with 2,000 barrettes in their hair.

On the contrary, Ford Models has recently teamed up with MySpace to find talent. I have received two messages from them in the last week on two differant pages. That said, I’m sure they are not looking for children that young because those kids are not supposed to have pages in the first place. This girl is setting herself up for trouble. All some pedo needs to do is send a message saying he is an agent or photographer and that’s all she wrote for these dummies.

Now if Natasha really wants to get her “god” daughter in the business I would recommend that she get some professional photos taken and high tail it to New York and and visit some agencies to see if the children have what it takes. What decent person is going to look on Myspace for a black little girl to contact the parent and say “hey I like your childs look and sass and I have a modeling job for her”. Give me a break. I think it’s crazy that mothers would allow their daughters to be on myspace for any reason. I have a 14 year old daughter that I have to constantly patrol when it comes to every social network website. If the world wide web was rated PG, I would allow her to post everywhere, but it’s not. The same time modeling agents is looking at those pages, so are the pedophilers, and every man in the whole world. Since you can’t control who looks, it’s best not to even post them..especially kids.
