as much as i hate p-shytty i gots to admit the whole bad boy era (when they were the hottest) from 1992-2000 helped shaped my life.

the music…almost every single bad boy produced track when it plays brings back memories of when i was in high school and the years after and i am bought back to what was happening to my life “at that time.” most often times i can recite the exact year and sometimes the season when the track came out.

Biggie would of went to Rocafella if he was still alive because Diddy be on that s***.Biggie was cool you know.But he only had like what 2 albums he put out when he was alive?And we know that people don’t famous until they die.

I read Faith’s book and she probably has more on anybody during that era.

Biggie changed the rap game that’s what he did. What did he do for the black community? He gave people from his community a chance to live a life they otherwise wouldn’t have. Lil Kim, Cease, Maino he is the reason Puffy is a Puffy.. & that extends to many people (even if ripped off later) in different community a chance to live.

What did Tina Turner do for the black community? Nothing but we Love What’s love got to do with it.

I’m doing all this ranting & can’t even see the trailor.

Big…one of the greatest. I’m definitely seeing this. I think this will definitely see the big screen, if only limited viewings. But, I don’t think Puff would be able to live with himself if it did go straight to DVD. I think everyone will be curious about Lil Kim and Faith’s characters in the movie. Hey, if 50 Cent can do it, so can Big. RIP.

I just finish reading Faith Evans book its a really good read, its like she is having a conversation with you over the phone, I havent pick up Pepa book but some of my friends says that its also a good read.

I think Biggie is over-rated, there is no way he should be mentioned in the category as Tupac.

Anywho, if 50 Cent’s piece of sh*t movie can go to theaters and actually make mula then Big’s story can hit the big screen.

I agree w/ kwallace. The whole BB era has a place in musical history from like ’92 to ’99. I seriously doubt that this movie will go straight to DVD there’s too much money to made. B.I.G. redefined Rap/HipHop, it was wack
after RunDmc,Eric B and Rakim, Slick Rick, and Dougie Fresh. That was when HipHop was tight. This BS now would have never survived. There are people who argue that BIG was the greatest and as huge as his murder was, the movie has the potential to be a huge seller, so if for the money only, Im sure it will be in theaters. Yall can hate on Diddy all u want, but no one can deny that he gave us some of the best music of the 90’s. Im glad that music is forever cause I dont have to listen to this BS that’s out now.

hehehehe. I’m praying it doesn’t if for no other reason than Angela Bassett is in it. I’d hate to see that happen to her. It’s terrible when there are so few options for black actors that an artist of Angela’s caliber has to settle for parts in 10th-rate films like this. Very sad.

Biggie may have ushered in the “look at all the money I got” era of rap, but that is all he contributed to changing it and that is nothing to brag about. He didn’t make Diddy what he is today. Diddy was born to hustle and had 10 years of success in the game before Biggie even came along. Diddy owned Biggie and had he lived he’d have been left assed out like all of Diddy’s artists and no doubt his contract clearly stated that Diddy would own him for life. Poor Danity Kane has to release 7 albums before they can get away from Diddy and we all know these girls won’t be putting out no 7 albums which means when they stop recording for Bad Boy, their careers are over because legally they won’t be able to go to another label. In any event, I enjoyed Big’s music. It was banging. It goes no further than that.

Well I personally did not know of a Puffy 10 years prior to Biggie blowing up (wasn’t he in college)?… & he didn’t become an international name until biggie died and he made that missing you song (because it was a Sting hit). As Puffy ripping off artist…. no comment. Everybody & they mama know that signing with Puffy you will get your azzhole rippped… f’ed with no vasoline.
