I LOVE THIS SONG! and the video! He never ceases to amaze me. Despite some people may hate because he stepped out of the box, he is courageous!
I like it too…now when I first heard this (when Sandra showed him on MTV, it didn’t have that feel to it….the studio thing really helped it out a lot….LOL
The African element was good too….don’t see that real often.

My interpretation of what he says is that “IF you keep your love lock down, you lose”
Meaning it’s better to have loved than never to have loved at all. Running from relationships and being afraid to commit is what he means…but that is just my interpretation.
I think he is kinda addressing his relationship with Alexis! I could be wrong.

I don’t see how people can not like this. Its very creative and outside the box. When I saw him preform it at the VMA’s I was dissappointed, but it grew on me. Kanye is really expanding himself as an artist and as a person…some people don’t get that tho. And big ups to Hype Williams! Love the visuals!

I agree, Niccas tend to just like simple stuff. Some people are just committed to being ghetto with no progression. This may be too much for some people. They can’t even interpret the meaning of it. lol
Aw kanye, he needs a hug. I can still feel his pain. This song sounds as if it could be to his ex. He wasnt ready for a relationship after his mother passed. So sad. Love the song, loved it the first time I heard it when he performed on the whoever awards show.
